The Lobster Pier reviews
34The Lobster Pier is an intimate 2 person hole in the wall operation. But the tiny venue and tiny menu packed a big surprise. There are only 2 appetizers and 4 mains on the menu. The ones we didn't order looked impressive at the other tables, but no regrets. The lobster roll consisted of a house made brioche, stuffed with WA rock lobster, coated in a truffle mayo and topped with grilled parmesan. The pumpkin and spinach salad was drizzled with a delicious dressing and the Cajun (ok, so the "Cajun" part was a bit weak) fries were the crispiest sweet potato fries I have ever encountered. Would 100% go back just for the fries. Price was very reasonable, atmosphere and decor was lovely. Service was fast, friendly and over all fantastic.
Restaurant has a nice cozy atmosphere. Lobster was fresh, but a little on the tougher side. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Went there on Tuesday for lunch. Wanted to try their lobster tails but were sold out over the weekend and waiting for resupply on Thursday. If you are looking for lobster tails, better chances on Thursday -> Sunday.
Tried the lobster roll with pumpkin salad and fried sweet potatoes, and calamari sampler. Very good lobster and calamari
Will go back for the lobster tails soon.
Limited seats for din in (about 12 pax).
We had dinner on a Sunday night. It is a nice and cosy place. We really enjoyed the oven baked lobster tail, lobster roll and calamari sampler. The sides are also generous. Delicious and definitely recommend!
I ordered a lobster roll and fries from them through Uber eats. The food are stone cold and doesn’t taste fresh. Wouldn’t recommend it.
The interior decorating, quality of the food, and good service, make up for the prices being perhaps a little on the high side, and the limited options on the menu. Recommended.
The service was exceptional and the food, excellent! We tried the butter, truffed and cheesed, and chilli crab lobster rolls, all the different sides and the calamari tower.
The setting is cosy, in a good way.
Really nice atmosphere and food is well priced and portioned. The young man who served me was very professional and friendly. Would come back again!
Excellent food and extremely friendly staff. Venue is quite small so it's best to have a reservation beforehand or have food as take out. We had ours as take out and it was very well packaged and kept intact.
I stopped her on a whim today, and was pleased to have the best sweet potato fries I have ever eaten. They were perfectly crispy and just slightly Cajun seasoned. Honestly, I would come here again just to eat those fries. The Lobster roll itself was good. The Lobster was cooked properly and the bun was soft and buttery. Do be advised, it is quite different from a "New England" style lobster roll. No mayo in sight. Although they do offer a truffle cheese version. The staff were very friendly as well as cool decor.
Not impressed one bit. Both rolls were ok but the lobster lacked flavour and seasoning.
The truffle chips lacked any truffle flavour at all
Horrible lobster roll, very dry. We ordered 2x packs with corn salsa and a salad and both meals were horrible. We only enjoyed the sweet potato chips. Won't order here again very expensive for a underwhelming meal.
Despite not having the option for the oven roasted lobster (which, mind you, the manager called me personally to explain that was the case beforehand). My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the lobster bun with truffle and cheese.
The service was excellent and I will most definitely be coming back to enjoy their signature dish.
Just a short walk from His Majesty's Theatre as well as the hotel we stayed at, Citadine.
Went for lunch and ordered the $49 best seller meal option. Lobster was overcooked unfortunately. The meal was just ok overall, was expecting better with all the good reviews.
The lobster rolls and Atlantic rolls are so good! Fresh lobster meat with well toasted bread! Love the pasta sides too! Good food always comes with a bit of a wait.
Lobster roll burnt (again) and about half the usual portion in it today. I finally give up on this place.
Had confirmed Booked through TheFork only to be told there is no lobster and our booking is not gone through on our arrival time. Had high expectations due to their good review, only to be left disappointed.
A simple place with creative food! Highly recommended for the lobster roll and the sweet potato fries.
Got the lobster roll and was very disappointed as I had heard good things about this place. The roll was burnt and dry, could barely taste the butter sauce. 0/10 for this meal and still yet to get a response to my email
When you are serving something as simple as lobster on a roll, there is nowhere to hide! We were so disappointed. Both of the lobster rolls that we ordered were not worth the price charged. Lobster was over cooked, brioche was not fresh and no hint of buttery sauce.
The only tasty part of the meal was the sweet potato chips.
What a waste
