THE HONEYCAKE SHOP in State Buildings

Purchased a slab yesterday for over a $110 dollars, frozen still, from under the counter, when purchased, wanted to charge me $10 more to have it cut in half and put in 2 boxes.
It was in a white box, they could have given me, transferred to a Honey cake shop box, so I said nope, your not charging me for that.
Got home had cut up cake into pieces to freeze, when got home.
Finally got to cut a slice and have some and it was disappointing, tasted pretty much like butter and very little flavour, heated up and tasted like pure melted butter, wasted all.that money, to have something that would have to be spread over toast.
Disappointed after spending so much, not sure whether we can give this out now, should get a refund, sure this has happened to a lot of people and then, they try and charge me, another $10.
Hell no.

The Honeycake is the sort of cake you keep going back for. The Honeycake usually have a stand at expo's and give away small samples. This stand you walk passed more than once to have a taste test then you buy it because it is so nice. I highly recommended this place.

This honey cake is so delicious! You haven’t lived till you’ve tried it. Love the pandan flavour!

Tastes good but it’s too small for the price price, which is 6$ per slice. I estimate the slide is 3 cm x 5 cm.

The honey cake is lovely so l feel bad given this rating but the cheesecake literally is a waste of space, l am so upset l couldn't wait to get home and try it for the first time l tried to have a spoonful and it is hard cream cheese lol there is nothing done to it, no flavour just salty plain block of cream cheese! I don't know if l should laugh or cry! I literally paid $7 for a small slice of cream cheese with a bit of something sprinkled on top

Best cake ever in Perth. I knew this will be my next birthday cake after tried some sample. The staff are friendly. They didn’t mind bringing some coffee in the shop.

So disappointed that the gluten free option has been discontinued. Not for lack of our custom! 5 stars if you bring it back!

I took some of the taste samples and decided that this was going to be my Birthday cake of choice always. I went a few days later to get it at Yagan Square shop which is very convenient. The opening hours are great, so I went after work. The service was really good, the whole packaging was very nice. This cake was an excellent present, people really enjoyed it and it was delicious.

Treat yourself and buy a HoneyCake from HoneyCake. Unique cakes in charming and contemporary store in one of Perth’s most beautiful buildings. We LOVE HoneyCake and every time we are in Perth it is MUST Stop for us

Small but mighty or should I say sweet! I liked their original best compared to the chocolate as you can really taste the flavour of the honey with the layers of cake. But you can decide for yourselves as they give perfect bite sized priced to try. Good celebratory or gift option, or simply to indulge.

Honey Cakes are really good but an extremely rude guy at the counter pushed me to never go back there again.

My life's complete when I found you honey cake. It's now my healthy sugary diet that replaced my regular chocolate and yes I eat the cake everyday. Never knew there's something better than chocolate.

Best cake ever. We are always sharing it with friends who all fall as much in love with this beautiful cake as we do.:)
