The Grove Distillery reviews
73This place is amazing! I found this place by accident and have been back three times since. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The liquor tastings are a must and for those that don't like liquors, theres bourbon and coke or beers on tap.
Love this place and the unique liqueurs and cocktails. Owner is always a great entertainer and some people may need to take a chill pill and not be so offended by the dry humour
If I could give 0 stars I would. I am a local and will never attend this brewery. A paying customer shamed for being vegan and kicked out.
I haven't visited but have a trip to this region booked for later in the year. I am vegan and from what i have heard a fellow vegan was shamed for asking about vegan options. WA needs to move with the times. So many people are vegan these days and those businesses not offering options will fall by the wayside. I will be avoiding this place.
Last time we went to the Grove we had to endure a bizarre onslaught of rude comments disguised as jokes during our tasting experience. It was so confusing and weird and it was part of a guided tour where someone is talking at you the whole time about liquor so we didn’t realise what the heck was going on until it was over. We left feeling rattled.
Fast forward several years later and I figured that was a one off and the guy was having a bad day, but apparently not. Steve was still there and the “Steve Show” continues. It’s a shame because the liquors are nice - I feel sorry for his workers and sorry on behalf of Pizza because what we received was not it.
Thank you Steve for a truly entertaining and informative taste session on the liqueur's. So glad we had the opportunity to drop in and taste a bloody awesome array of fine beverages. Cheers
The most insulting experience I've had in hospitality in this decade. The owner was extremely rude to us and made extremely inappropriate comments to my friends. His employees were very embarrassed on his behalf. I do not recommend this distillery and because of his behaviour will never endorse his product. Please contact should you want any more information. Disgusted.
The current rating of 3.8 is absolutely under rated. This place is a nice escape from the rest of the tourist traps in the Margaret River wine region. I recommend pulling up a pew and interacting with the wonderful staff while sampling amazing beers spirits and liqueurs.
Had a very poor tasting experience. The staff did not talk abou tasting notes, did not explain what was in the spirits unless asked. When asked, the gentleman behind the bar with the bald head was very condescending and was not very welcoming. I went in wanting to spend quite a bit of money as I was excited to try local spirits and instead left unhappy and unsatisfied with my experience. Absolutely would not recommend if youre going there to learn about spirits and what ingredients they use.
Absolutely awesome. Excellent pizza, and amazing customer service. Louise was great and the liqueurs tasting was well worth it. Thanks team!
I have been to The Grove on several occasions and always had a great experience. Visited this weekend and had a great tasting with Pam who was so lovely and accommodating.
8 lovely local Dunsborough ladies had an enjoyable experience today. Finishing the day with Spirits & liqueurs.

Your venue a beverages are nice but sadly your attitude and staff's attitude leave a lot to be desired.rude, obnoxious and cant take what you dish out.
I wouldn't recommend the Grove to anyone.
I aid $12 for a gin and tonic cocktail and it came in a tiny tumbler what a waste of money and the pizzas were like cardboard.
Well that certainly was an experience. Don your best trackies and hit this place for a bourbon and coke. Avoid the pizza and avoid the pale ale.
This place was part of our winery tour, (we went with "Cheers Scenic tours & wine tasting") the tastings provided as part of the tour were more than ample. Steve (the Grove host) is a real character, he served generous tastings with lots of tongue-in-cheek humour (almost a forgotten Ozzy trait). Can't recommend highly enough!
Was very much looking forward to trying some single malt whisky but all out of stock. Young guy serving had no idea about their previous releases, just recommended their first release for $1000 a bottle.
The dishes were dirty, which was the main problem. Apart from that, would have gotten 4 stars for decor, venue, distillery, and toilets.
Very impressed with the liqueurs, and at a reasonable price. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed our experience with the owner and staff. Would highly recommend!
Great liqueurs and whiskies on tap to try. Prices aren't too bad either. Make sure you aren't the designated driver - you will leave this place plastered and with bottles upon bottles in hand of the different liqueurs on offer. Tasting prices are reasonable and they demonstrate the different combination of cocktails that can be made with each liqueur.
