The Grape Place reviews
44 Visited on 30 December 2023 in the morning with my sister's family. Ample parking and I liked the fact that the parking bays were under grape vines with hanging bunches of grapes (NOT to be picked) which provided shade.
The people serving were very friendly and allowed samples of grape varieties to try for comparison and before purchasing - globe (red), ivory (green yellowish), dawn (green) and sable (black). It was a bit busy on arrival but the lines were quick. There was no messing around.
Kudos to the young guy manning the rockmelons. I asked how do I know I've picked a good one. He swore, hand on his heart that they were all good. And y'know what - with luck of the draw costing $4.00 for a whole one, he was true to his word. Adamant that the one I picked felt very firm and not ready. I was wrong. It's fleshy, super flavourful, has a small seed cavity and a top quality pick.
Always fresh grapes from this place during the grape season. My whole family loves it and the best ones we have had are the autumn crisp & scarlet royal. Sweet & crunchy. They also lasts longer than the ones u get at the supermarkets.
The Autumn Crisp grapes are so delicious! Autumn King had a strong sweet and sour flavour. Also got a 7-pack of large figs for $10:)
We visited end Feb 2023 as we heard the autumn crisp is back. Based on what we bought, this year's harvest is poor like last year - sweetness and the crisp flavour were both lacking. Whether it's intentional or not, the samples we were given to try tasted a lot better than the ones we purchased - so just be aware. I thought to post this to manage people's expectations. I think the recent weather events have just messed up this season's fruits in general.
Excellent excellent place for fresh and good quality grapes. Have been buying from them for over 6 years and counting.
Best grapes in Perth and straight off the vines. I shouldn't give them such a high rating cos this morning they were so busy. It was supposed to be my secret
My favorite place for grapes and Autumn king is in season now! We usually have them packed In styrofoam boxes to bring back to SINGAPORE.
Excellent quality grapes, but they aren't cheap thats for sure. Very busy place.kids like the ice cream too
Autumn Crisps grapes are SO AMAZING. The peaches and plums were so juicy and sweet. Service is friendly and efficient!
Besides their grapes, don't buy anything else. Sold us an unripe watermelon. And it's not cheap. What a rip off.
Delicious grapes and fruit farm fresh. The extra large Green grapes my favourites the say at end of January so full and fresh can not wait to go back for more every year to get them tasty sweet summer grapes.
Swan Valley's hidden gem. BEST grapes in Perth. The fresh watermelon juice is always refreshing. Always the premium quality seasonal fruits. The local products are fit for a gourmet kitchen.
Top that by really nice family members working hard and with pride
Really impressed. A must visit of Swan Valley.
Keep it up
Top quality grapes and melons with a friendly welcome from the staff it was worth the sunday drive.
This year's crop of Autumn Crisp grapes is a mixed bag literally - mix of big and small grapes and taste ranges from poor (small ones) to good (the bigger ones). Fresh grapes as always but lower your expectation and be sure to test the small and big grapes so you know what you are buying. Not a good harvest for Autumn Crisp unfortunately, the red ones are better comparatively. The peaches are definitely sweeter than the ones in the supermarket.
Have never had a bad batch of grapes. Not the cheapest around but every last grape in the bag gets eaten so there is no wastage.
Its ok. Grapes good.not awesome.this time. Not cheap either. But busy.so doing something right!
I had a positive experience the grapes seemed yummy and ended up buy 4kg of grapes and honey too.
Consistently great grapes and they have added icecream since I was here 4 years ago. Plus you can buy cuttings of their grape vines.
I liked the seedless red grapes. Crunchy fresh skin with sweetness inside. The baby seedless plant is sold at $15/plant. So good to drop by and grab it. Just non-stop eating it. Now is the starting of the grape season. Wonderful!
Lovely owners and staff with the best and freshest grapes picked and sold daily. Also a selection of in season other fresh fruit for sale.
Very happy repeat customer. You pay more than USA grapes but you get todays (unlike 1-3 month old USA fumigated grapes like in the supermarket).
10/10 Would recommend and return there over and over
