The Duke Bar and Bistro reviews
68 Dropped in here after a bucket of golf balls were hit at Carramar, ordered the special menu kangaroo loin which was honestly sensational, both myself and my dad very much enjoyed that meal, it was a large serving for a great dollar value and the best part was it was one of the best pub feeds we have had in a while and the Guinness to top it off,
Jake the manager on duty was also great to deal with.
Great atmosphere and good food but the table service was a little slow. It took over 20mins to get drinks.
What a little gem, had lunch for 12 on a Sunday afternoon. It was recommended by someone that had not been before but had heard really good things about The Duke. It was awesome! The staff were friendly, professional and attentive, service time for our food was excellent, everybody enjoyed their meals, I had the chicken with feta and it was delicious. One of the best Espresso Martinis I've had in Perth, overall the experience at The Duke was excellent! If I lived closer, it would be my local pub. Highly recommend.
Went with family for a Saturday night catch-up for Christmas. Restaurant and sports bar were a hive of activity. Arrive at 6pm and notice that the restaurant lightning subtly changed to a more intimate dining experience. Food great and well presented. Great option for the family to visit for a nice place to eat out! Highly recommend.
Great food with good atmosphere. The only caution is the staff, they are often busy and are prone to making mistakes. Would recommend.
Great "British" style pub in Carramar, good pub grub and friendly efficient service. Restaurant area as well as a separate sports bar. Seating outside for those balmy summer evenings in this peaceful suburb.
Lovely friendly staff. Tasty Sunday carvery. Only thing I could fault were the slightly overdone yorkies. The meal totally satisfied my craving for a traditional Sunday roast.
Good lean, good atmosphere but some staff really having bad day not friendly and fish was cooked from frozen so lots of water, soggy.
Monday, 21 June 2021 We (family group of four) had a fabulous meal; Chicken Parma, Cesar Salad with roasted chicken, Rump Steak (rare) with Duck Fat Potatoes and a Vegan serving of Nasi Goreng. The service was fantastic. The waiter took the time to find out exactly what each of us liked, or disliked, in the preparation of our food paying extra attention to my vegan daughter. On delivery, everything from the drinks to the meals, were perfect in every way. Hats off to the chef and staff. It was my first time at The Duke and in the words of Laurence of Arabia, "I will return"!
Always good. However, if there's 10 minutes left of an Nrl game and people are watching, don't switch it over to AFL! Second time that's happened and for a Richmond game too!
Love happy hour, great platters for group functions. Also love visiting on a cold day and fire is lit, love the fire!
Seniors deals great value includes wine at $20. Size of meal doesn't decrease like at the Ashby or the Wanneroo.
Steak and ale pie would feed 2.
Service very good and friendly, quality of meals superb.
Good wine list.
I think one of the best pubs around Joondalup for a pint and food. I always go off the specials board and I’ve never had a bad meal, it’s always good value. It would be my local if I lived closer.
Good selection of drinks and food, you can smoke in the beer garden attached to the sports bar.
Carvery was disappointing.meat was average.pork was ok. My caeser was the blandest I've had.my sons cheeseburger was the size of a golf ball and my daughters pizza was so sloppy the crust came off when she picked it up.sadly disappointing will not eat there again.staff were lovely
Pints 11 bucks. Food seemed cheap, only had two beers there though. Looked like they have events there too.
I Always enjoy this place?
The chilli mussels is the only let down for me as it doesn't serve with bread or even small bread sticks. But other than that It's a cool place
Fantastic pub and bistro, actually everything about the Duke is awesome, the atmosphere and cleanliness. The staff are BRILLIANT Keep up the GREAT WORK everyone.
The pub side is a mismatch of night club, sports memorabilia and fancy dining
What a joke
Bistro is nice
An enjoyable evening meal. Typical pub meals with specials each day, the chicken penny had the right flavours and was a sizeable portion. Various beers and wines to enjoy. Deserts are well presented and not overly rich in sweetness. Tables are well spaced for this years challenges.
