Staff do not listen clearly on orders and it takes a 15 minute to explain what we after. I was so unimpressed by the service here. I ordered takeaway and was told 30 minutes, I arrived 40 minutes after and it wasn’t ready. I could tell by the awkward way the service staff said it is ‘almost’ ready (and from past experience with this restaurant) that it was going to take a while. I went away and came back 15 minutes later and it still was not ready. Waitress not paying attention and was busy on her phone by using different language which highly embarrassed. After sitting around for a while and upon return a further 10 minutes later I went in and it was finally ready. Well, over an hour later. After 1 hour 20 minutes when I went home I noticed I got a wrong dish. Then I call back to the restaurant and even waitress can’t understand English properly and hung up the phone several times. I spent over $50 and furious at the time it has taken me some time to decide whether to write a review, but it is not just good enough. Not recommended at all.

It's wonderful here - we always have lovely family nights with plenty of authentic Indian food. A favourite for all.

WORST SERVICE! We ordered on uber eats. They said it would be 45 minutes which then changed to an hour and 5 minutes. We could see in the app a driver had arrived to collect but he didn't leave the restaurant. Then the app said the restaurant needed another half hour. A different driver arrived at the restaurant to collect then almost ANOTHER 10 minutes later we got another message saying that our order had been cancelled! We called the restaurant and no one even answered the phone. Would give zero stars if I could.

Lovely welcoming staff and delicious food! Never had anything like the sizzling tandoori eggplant before and the potato curry was super tasty. Would recommend!

Me and my family went here for my sisters 23rd birthday and it was excellent! They had greylat customer service, the staff where very kind and paitent with our order much better food quality! Good job Darbar

I have never been to a more unorganised restaurant in my life. Not answering the business phone, Constantly getting orders wrong, blaming the customer/others for wrong orders, and not providing a full refund when explained it would. Disgusting behaviour. Didn’t appreciate the smirk on the waiters face when attempts were made to rectify errors. Wouldn’t waste time here!

We go here regularly.
Always receive service with a smile and very tasty indian/Nepalese food.

One of the best food ever. Good food friendly environment. Nd u knw what chef can make your taste.waitstaff always ask that what type of taste u want nd chef try his best. And 1 more thing not expensive at all. Must go nd enjoy ur night with darbar.

Came here with high expectations from the reviews. Bitterly disappointed.decor is very tired, obviously a pizza place in its former life. A few pictures of Nepal and India does not make the place authentic. Service was non-existent even though it was quiet. The one waitress obviously did not want to be there. 20 minutes to take our order and a further 30 mins before the starters came. Over an hour and a half for two courses. The food is good but not worth the wait. The place is NOT licensed as stated on their website, byo. Been there done that. Probably never again.

Unfortunately this restaurant was not open when they say they are. Ordered online and received text message from 'eat now' that order cancelled. They do not answer the phone and now I don't have money for lunch as takes 24 hours for refund to come through. Very disappointed as usually enjoy food from here. Would have at least been better if they could have given a reason to eat now service than just to blank their customers.
Update: money came back to my account so now I can afford dinner (still had no lunch). Decided to order from here as I know the food is okay. Called to order and the exact same order was quoted at more than the online price. Seems a bit backwards as it's a 3rd party app and I prefer to give my money direct to businesses wherever possible, but I'm not going to pay more to do so. Added an extra curry for my house mate and the overall online price is still less than quoted on the phone.
Raised my 1 star to 3 stars purely for the food being okay.

Love this place - they make a cracking madras and the Nepalese curries are worth a try. Service can be a little slow at times, but it's the food that matters

Food is excellent with generous portions. Enjoyed it very much and ate so much for lunch that did not eat anything until breakfast the next day.

Food was fantastic, service a wee bit slow (which is why 4 of 5), but well worth it for a cheaper dining experience.
