The Colony of Midland reviews
48This place never lets us down, food is always good and coffee is always amazing! The atmosphere here is very inviting and happy!
Very pleasant place to have a meal or a coffee and snack. Indoor and outdoor tables. Very good customer service. Nicely presented meals. Recommended.
Really top spot for a coffee and a meal.
Family owned business.
Tastefully decorated and furnished.
Had delicious breakfast.
Good value and they were accommodating when it came to special request on a meal and drinks.
A lovely open and friendly environment. Food was of quality and enjoyed. It would be a good thing if you had a selection of sauces like Worcester sauce, tomato sauce and maybe hp sauce available without extra charge.
Otherwise, a great spot with friendly staff. Thank you.
Friendly service and great food. There is always enough space to leave the pram too - unlike many of the cafes in the shopping centre. This little café is only a short walk from the North side of Midland gate and definitely worth it!: -D
Great food and even better service, looking forward to celebrations for your first birthday. Kylie goes out of her way to accommodate.
Bring my mum and her dog Angus here frequently. Lovely staff who always do their best to make you feel welcome. Hubby just had a gorgeous steak sandwich on gf bread and i pinched a few of the tastiest freshest hot chips I've ever eaten!
Food was amazing beautifully cooked, service was friendly and they were smiles all round. Drinks were perfect and wait wasn't long. I highly recommend this place for its high quality
The Rueban sandwich promised to have "home made corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, spicy Mayo on toasted rye panini. "
It was very dry, hardly any spicy Mayo and the smallest helping of sauerkraut possible. I've had lots of Reuban's before and they are usually very generously lashed with sauerkraut and Mayo but not this dry sad little sandwich.
All I can say is wow, the the Reuben sandwich was awesome, so much so I've now had a few. The colony has now had a face lift with lots of colour which looks awesome and has really nice warm feel about it. The owner Kylie, thank you for the great customer service and friendly chat. Keep up the good work during these trying times as a small business owner. You got this.
I often eat a meal or just have a coffee at The Colony in Midland.
Why?
Because the food is great.
The customer service is top notch.
You are welcomed with a smile each and every time and the food is quick to arrive.
When leaving you always get a big thank you for coming and see you next.
I will continue to support this little place for these reasons.
Well done Kylie and your beautiful team of workers. You have a great crew.
We had an 80th birthday with 30 people on the weekend at The Colony, Kylie and her team were amazing, the event was well organised and catered for with beautiful food and beverages, the service was excellent and the venue was set up in a allocated space which gave us privacy, we could not be happier with the way the morning went, thank you so much to you all
What wonderful cafe, the staff, food, ambience and overall hospitality is second to none, the food is fresh, tasty, well presented and did I say tasty.and the coffe is great.
Great place near the valley for breakfast, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea.
Will rèturn.
Best cafe I've been to in Midland! Right across my apartment aswell so very convenient!
Staff are super lovely and the food is great:)
I have had the privilege of dining at 'The Colony' several times - food is great and the service is always friendly! This morning's 'The Stacker' breakfast was quite possibly the best breakfast that I have had.anywhere.ever! Chilli jam may be my new addiction! ️
Coffee is also fabulous.
I came here for breakfast this morning as my family does every Saturday (supporting local businesses) and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The staff were fantastic, the food was brilliant, tasty and filled me up, and the coffee was great too! I highly recommend adding The Colony of Midland to your places to visit if you are ever in the area.
Ordered the bruschetta, it was actually very nice, however it was just a bit pricey to what they other places price it at but it wasn't the normal bruschetta either.
Nice place but very uncomfortable chairs. I still gave you 4 stars but I won't come back because of those uncomfortable chairs. It's not the seat it's the horrible steal back. Get some comfortable chairs (no arms) and I will come back. Don't get those horrible aluminium chairs that us larger people can barely fit our legs between either. Comfort, comfort, comfort.
Now our favourite coffee shop for our regular Friday ride. Kylie is very obliging and the coffee and range of cakes is great. I highly recommend The Colony to all cyclists looking for their coffee stop in Midland.
I have come a few times and the Colony breakfast is very good. Delicious bacon, eggs, tomato, mushroom, baked beans, hashbrowns and sausages. All high quality ingredients which were delicious. Friendly service and a nice indoor and outdoor eating area.
