Thai Thyme reviews
59My go to restaurant every time I shop at Joondalup. Ive eaten here many times and it is always delicous, fresh and full of flavour
The food comes out so fast and OH MY GOD is it tasty and fresh! I have never waited more than 10 minutes for my food during lunch time and I have always felt so full and satisfied after. Bonus, the prices are really fair.
Fantastic food, pricey, staff are amazing, love this one much more than the food court as service is very personalised. Thank you
Had a chicken laksa from Thai Thyme and it was delicious! Huge meal, fresh and tasty. Definitely recommend grabbing lunch here.
The staff said this is the standard Fried Chicken Flat Noodle selling $13.5 and is about the Large plate made me feel this is small, can someone tell how many noodle on the plate? I would appreciate, not recommend thank you!
Stopped in to try out the pad thai for lunch. It was good and tasty. Fast service and friendly staff.
Im in love with this place.i just want the flavour in my mouth all the time! Bought tai green curry to eat now and one for later!
Would have been 5 star cause the food is always excellent.the 2 old chucks serving should learn to smile and be courteous. J have never seen them do either
My husband and I eat here often - we’ve tried the foodcourt, take-away and dine-in options. The food court is your best value for money and the food is always delish - lots of fresh veggies compared with other Thai take-aways we’ve tried. Will continue to support them.
We ordered 2 yellow curries tonight - usually if we sit in at the restaurant, the sauce is thick and full of flavour - tonight it was watery. It was still nice but just ok. I hope the owners see this message and improve the sauce.
Staffs are very unfriendly, thai people generally are very warm but thos place is dissapointing, i realise its not a 5 star but doesnt hurt to be friendly. Dined in at the city store, ordered fried rice, it looked like it came from the bin. Big chunky pieces of veggies looked like it was slapped into the plate. No love whatsoever. Guys, if u dont love what you do better find a job in the butchershop and chop bones
Really, truly good food at a great price I'm probably their most frequent return customer, tbh, haha. I'm disabled and preparing nutritious food for myself isn't always possible. There are also a ton of foods I can't eat.
Their vegetable stir fry with peanut sauce is sooooo absurdly good! Like, I've eaten a lot of different peanut sauces and theirs is by far the best I've come across. Plus, the veggies are always super fresh and cooked perfectly - like they still have a satisfying amount of bite to them, but are never undercooked.
The staff are also fantastic Abled people ask disabled people the weirdest, most invasive questions all the time - like, I get approached by total strangers who, without so much as a hi, ask, "So what's wrong with you, then? " o_0
But the staff at Thai Thyme treat me no differently to anyone else. They've never questioned my walking stick, why I mostly buy the same thing or why I'm there so frequently - all things staff elsewhere have questioned me on, in the past.
Oh and they're also great when it comes to dietary restrictions, whether they're medical (eg.gluten) or ethical (eg.veganism).
Honestly cannot recommend this place enough
Only 10 people in restaurant, but still waited 20 minutes for drinks order. Was only served after a reminder. Thai beef salad was ordinary. Fatty beef with onions and a bunch of rocket leaves. Nasi Goring had no flavour, loaded with carrots, zucchini, and onions.
Dissapointed.
The food leaves a lot to be desired at this place. Definitely not authentic Thai, though priced like it.
THEY GIVE VEGETARIANS MEAT
If I could give less than 1 star I would. We have used Thai Thyme twice. We are vegetarians and specifically requested no meat on both occasions. On both occasions we were given chicken. That’s both times.
When we contacted the restaurant to let them know they informed us that we could drive back and collect the right order as no one was available to deliver the correct meal. When we told them we wanted a refund they told us we had to drive back into the restaurant even though we were already home. After arguing with the manager they told us they would direct debit our refund. On the 2nd occasion they requested that we send a photo of the meal >1.5 hours after we had received the meal otherwise we wouldn’t get the refund. They expected us to rifle through our bins to prove to them that yes once again they gave vegetarians (which was clearly explained to them prior) meat.
I can’t tell you what the food tasted like because this place is too useless to provide you with the correct order and are even more incompetent to rectify their own mistakes.
Basic principles:
- don’t give vegetarians meat
- rectify the issue
- don’t doubt your customers
- don’t blackmail your customers
- teach your staff customer service etiquette
Purchased a chicken fried rice with veges, got instead fried rice with veges with no chicken. Discovered this half way through eating, thinking oh chicken must be underneath. Unfortunately, to my dislike no chicken. Took my plate back and advised them no chicken, instead of making a new batch with equal portions, I saw them reuse my left over food from the very same plate I gave them back and just added chicken to it. They gave it back to me (probably didn’t see that I was watching) I said excuse me that’s not good enough, first you give me my order without chicken, now you hand me back my left overs re heated with chicken, now my food is NOT equally portioned probably. No apology from the start just a sour look of disbelief that I would even say that or bring it back. I simply said “look this is not good enough and I want a new one” she looked at me again with her sour look. Tell me who’s wrong here? I have also noticed that portion sizes are getting smaller and smaller every time I order from here (Joondalup) come on seriously not happy at all!
Came here to eat. It says open until 5pm on website. The door is open, the sign says open and the staff member is asleep at the back.
Tells us the shop closes at 3 pm.
Really bad service!
So frustrating!
Best Thai around. I live in clarkson and have tried all the Thai restaurants in the area, nothing compares to Thai Thyme.
Last weekend I ordered beef pad thai with vegetables to take away, what i got was pad thai noodles with 2 pieces of carrot, 1 piece of broccoli and 3 very small strips of beef - it wss literally rice noodle pats in pad thai sauce. The lady at the check was so rude, she was serving me in between talking to another worker, it took around 11 inutes to take that simple order, and when i went to pick it up i had to check for cutlery and napkins, which the checkout lady said she had put in the 'plastic' bag, which she hadn't, I hadto insist onputting them in the bag.
Very disappointed!
Had dinner here and absolutely loved it. The customer service was absolutely wonderful and from the moment we walked in we felt extremely welcome and at home. The food was out of this world! Ive been to Thailand and still think this place has better Thai food. And too top it off the cheap prices make everything better!
