We had Tartan Spice cater for our Dads 70th on the weekend- IT WAS SOO GOOD. Dad is Sri Lankan and naturally super fussy when it comes to curries- not one bad thing was said!

We ordered the vindaloo, Rogan josh, vegetarian and butter chicken (a massive hit with the kiddies).

Best part was there was SO MUCH left over we all went home with containers of food.

Waste of money and time today, it happend with me before as well after that I tried again today but again Naan bread were uncooked and chicken breast was not good quality in butter chicken

I ordered the tandoori mixed grill and I am absolutely disappointed by it. I am not gonna try to order food there anynore. Never again.

We have recently moved to Byford. We were recommended Tartan and Spice by friends. Definitely did not disappoint! Great service and very tasty food. Cannot wait to try more of their menu

Had a delicious meal here tonight. Very authentic indian, just like the Scottish indians we were missing. Chicken pakora, spiced onions, curries and garlic nan very tasty. Friendly welcoming staff. Will definately be back.

Always great tasty curries, but last night, we had sooo many cardamom pods, & these weird black spice, like the size of a,
10 cent peice,
Never had that before, normally just dig in. &&, dont have to take all those hard over powering spices out

Ordered last week and was good.
Ordered tonight and got dry chicken in flavourless water pretty much. Didn’t even eat it just the rice. Very inconsistent unfortunately

WOW! This is hands down PERTH’S BEST INDIAN.
Dine in or takeaway it always taste perfect and customer service is on point. Absolutely love supporting small, family owned local business’. I sure do not handle spice well and the Korma is perfect! Soooo much flavour! Perfect portion of rice, naan and curry and if you can’t finish it all grab a container for takeaway and eat it the next day. They put so much love and effort into every dish - highly recommend!

With all the positive reviews, we were keen to try however we were very disappointed. The butter chicken sauce was extremely sweet and the chicken pieces were massive meaning it was over cooked and super tough. The nAans were not cooked properly.chicken tikka was also not cooked.very disappointing with my order

On Friday night We ordered again to give them a second chance butter chicken.rice. Nhan bread and poppadums.
So so dissapointed
chicken was so dry.sauce flavourless and so runny.rice was hard and dry.poppadums were left in fryer to long and were so dark.
Never ever order from here again

Really good food. I am a regular here for takeaway. The staff are very friendly. Compared to regular Indian restaurants this one has a unique taste

Second time having ordered from here first time was over an hour wait only to have forgotten to deliver naan bread and all meat dry, again ordered last night and delivery was over an hour an a half and 15mins before delivery was told no rice available with again dry and chewy chicken

Since coming to Australia we have struggled to find somewhere that does curry similar to what we enjoy back in Scotland. We made the drive from Freo to Byford after reading reviews of Tartan Spice on the Scots in Perth Facebook page and it lived up to all our expectations and more. Great food, great service and an amazing vegetarian selection. The garlic naan was huge and it was the first time we have found spiced onions in Australia too! Can’t wait to come back and would 100% recommend!
