Tao Cafe Joondalup reviews
71Clean, friendly staff, excellent food…. What more could you ask for. Definitely visit again.
The service was great, my friend had booked a table online for us but for some reason the booking had gotten lost. However, the staff was extremely accommodating and quickly fixed the issue. They also made sure to keep updated on what we need.
PS. Door is not locked, it’s jammed. Pull harder.
Place looks nice but disappointed that there’s no sashimi’s on the train.
Unless that’s how they run it and I just had to order separately for the sashimi on the menu.
Also might came on the wrong time. Staff’s are not accommodating enough.
Delicious Asian food, bought a few things off of the sushi train. I had the Japanese curry with katsu chicken, all delicious. Highly recommended!
Serving size of noodles was tiny, paid $23 and it didn’t even fill the container, the flavour of the noodles was ok but not that nice. We previously had been to Innaloo Tao and that was amazing flavours was great and portion size was good too, I expected similar but this was much smaller and not as nice. Sushi was good at both.
This particular Tao is AWESOME. The sushi train meals have these frozen tiny packets to keep the sushi cold and I like that a lot. I also tried my first Japanese drink, sake, here, thanks to helpful staff' guidance. It was very smooth. Staff are lovely here. Meals are consistently tasty. Very clean and inviting. I come here regularly.:)
It's great that you guys make your own laksa base, but it should be a PASTE that combines with the broth & coconut milk to make a smooth soup.
Might be time to upgrade your blender?
Quite unpleasant chunks throughout the soup!
So my experience with TAO Sushi Train was a pleasant experience. There was great customer service and also great sushi on the trains, however the reason I’m giving this place one star is because I was lucky enough to get food poisoning from the food.

The food on the sushi train is a real treat. They have staples like salmon nigiri and sushi rolls, but also some dishes I haven't seen in other sushi train restaurants. There are a lot of desserts to choose from, and it is a licensed restaurant. A new favourite of mine, highly recommend.
Fast table service. Instant food choice from the sushi train. Always super fresh and full of flavour. Tao is often a go to when looking for healthy food, restaurant dining. Highly recommend.
Absolutely delicious and fabulous service. Spoilt for choice. I had a great birthday. Thank the Tao.
Great experience everytime, this is where we have been going to introduce our kids to Asian style foods and they never fail to disappoint.
First time visit but wouldn't recommend. I was sat waiting for my food whilst my son had his. I told staff, but not bothered. The food is nice but I can't give more than 3 stars.
Sushi on the train was ok but kitchen was struggling on the day to keep up with the demand. They appeared short staffed. Also i realised after leaving that the serving staff overcharged me because they miscounted the plates. Not one to go back to.
Good food, good pricing, good service.
Only 2 small gripes.
Entrance from the street could have been a little more presentable & the front entry door was jammed.
Decent sushi train, not so good with the pad Thai. The Korean K Pop was different, but decent. Friendly staff
Beautiful place. Feels very warm and cosy (especially in this weather) Food was delicious and the service was great:) will be back again soon
Tao is, without a doubt, our all-time favourite restaurant. The staff are always fantastic - the whole crew are always super helpful, professional, friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable and hard-working. The food, however, is what really makes this place stand out.
Their menu features a range of Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese dishes. My favourite is the vegetarian Pad Thai and my partner raves about their chicken katsu curru and chicken teriyaki. But everything we've tried has been amazing - not just good, but genuinely excellent. You can really tell that whoever's running their kitchen clearly puts a great deal of care into the food they're making.
The sushi train is also fantastic and always full of fresh, delicious options to pick and choose from. We often fill up just on sushi train options and we're never disappointed.
They also have a range of fancy French desserts that can be either ordered or just grabbed from the sushi train and those are all amazing, too. I really just can't rave about Tao enough.
5 stars and all of the praise!
Ordered a satay chicken and a beef pho and we were very happy with the food! Also grabbed a plate of sushi while we were waiting and enjoyed that too! Will likely come back here again
