Oct 2021 - Well we booked this time, and I am pleased to say its a great place, pizza are good, the beer was great. I think the place is great if you have kids, but I am pleased we have ticked it off our list.

Oct 2020 Called in on the off chance of getting some food, it was around 1: 30 so hopped a few tables were free. We did get told we should have booked and the only tables are in the open area despite seeing over 10 tables free in the undercover area. The staff were not the most friendly so we decided to leave. Shame looked like a nice place.

Not very good quality, crust under cooked, un-cut, very little toppings and a clumb of mozzarella straight from the fridge.
I wouldn't recommend

Your booking system should not allow bookings 15 mins before your closing time. Very disappointed to have travelled 40 mins to get there, only to be told the kitchen is closed and we should try a different business down the street.

Delicious delicious pizza! Best pizza I’ve had and I would say it’s even better than most pizza places in Italy! Soooo yummy.

This is a mint spot to chill out on the swings with a cracking view of the valley. Their gluten free pizza is the best I have ever had and I am a coeliac. A must visit on your south west holiday.

Ok, so, lovely venue, great kids playground.

The menu is very limited. It's essentially just a pizza shop. I really wanted something healthy, but there was just one salad on the menu (you just don't make friends with salad.everyone knows this)

The pizzas themselves aren't bad, great bases and ingredients. Beware the Parma, which has a whole ball of mozzarella, still icy cold from the fridge just dropped in the middle. Overpriced, but we didn't mind as the venue is lovely.

No cutlery and staff were very busy.

Dog+kids friendly.
Great seats outside. Amazing that they let dogs indoor which is great for when weather is bad.
Wonderful playground on site and beautiful hills scenery.
I always saw this venue being recommended and now I know why - it's definitely the type of place where you would want to bring your out of town guests to wow them!
We were lucky to visit on a weekday where things were not hectic but we've tried going during school holidays and they said there would be at least 3 hours of wait for the pizza. Make sure to book and try to go early or late in the day!

I'm Italian and I really liked the doughy pizza, almost got a second one. We also had the baked camembert and the quinoa salad which we were both great, wish they had more side/non pizza choices as well.
Tasty beers but wish they had more non-alcoholic options.

Really friendly waiters, especially the Italian guy!
We hope to be back soon!

From 5 stars to 1 in 90 minutes or less. My families experience here was unfortunately the end of an otherwise amazing trip down south. It started well with a fantastic greeting at reception, grounds and outdoor / kids play area most parents would be over the moon to see, however that's where the 5 stars stopped. We were taken to a bench table that barely fit 8 people despite a booking for 13. We'd requested two high chairs for young children, which weren't present, we were then provided one, placed in the main thoroughfare to and from the bar. When asked the staff told us they were in shortage. After realising and showing the staff for the 3rd time (as more guests arrived) that 13 people would not fit, we were moved outside. Behind our new table outside was a wheelchair ramp full of baby seats.we stuck with the one we were given anyway. At this point we'd been told we had strictly 90mins before we had to vacate, however had no menus, no table water or had any proper explanation of the bar service versus the wine tasting bar versus the beer collection point outside after you'd ordered and paid at one of the first two bars. We've now gone from 5 to 3 with a positive outlook, what ensued hereafter however near on ruined our otherwise fantastic trip. We had 'undercooked' wood fired chook served then once par eaten removed from the table by waiting staff when they realised they'd only half cooked by sous vide - hadn't actually been in the wood fire yet. Specifically in relation to the chicken, the passive aggressive manager treated two of my sisters very awkwardly and after 3 offerings of a refund still coaxed to charge for it as the second one was actually cooked. NB 5 of the 13 people ordered the 'wood fired' chook and were all now put off their meal wondering whose was actually the suspect dish as all ordered on same table number one of which was almost fully eaten half cold. More importantly here we learn the false advertising that the batch pre cooked chicken is sous vide then thrown in a wood fire to brown off - not a wood fired chook as described on their specials board.
Now we are at two stars.the rest is unbelievably rude staff at the bars, quite frankly some of the most awful humans I've interacted with even through COVID working in retail.
Next is the layout and table placement meaning every dish is brought thru narrow serving aisles, hot plates over children's heads, the poor table next to us had a toddler whose chair was knocked and the baby physically knocked that many times, we actually moved to another side of our table and spread out to allow them access in and out, without constantly banging their child.
No sooner had we done this, the staff seated another group of 15 behind us who had to use the same thoroughfare and compounded the existing issue further.
If we hadn't moved that table would've been unserviceable.
Quite simply the worst restaurant experience I've ever had in my entire life.
Gutted to be honest as we were all really looking forward to it.

Honestly can't say I've ever felt so unwelcomed at a venue ever. The venue itself is really nice and funky but the staff were very unhelpful and cold. There was no music playing so everyone was sitting there pondering to themselves. The staff have no sense of urgency to serve you as we waited at the bar for a few minutes as people walked straight past us (there was no other customers waiting to be served). I was told that I needed to come here while in Margaret river but can't stress enough of how horrible it was! Definetly won't be back.

This place serves the most amazing mushroom arancini and will go out of their way to provide a personalised level of hospitality!

Massive thanks to Tony for making this trip memorable and we can't wait to come back!

Just average and over priced could be so much more. The pizza had very little toppings on it and was expensive. The bowl of chips cost $12 and wasn’t very big.
3 cans of beer to choose from ranging from $10-$12 for a 330ml drink is just excessive. I and my friends will not be back. Good luck with your over priced low quality food.

Such a beautiful place but let down by the lack of service and the demeanour of the cellar door staff. Demeaning, disorganised and a disaster is probably the best way to describe our experience. Not one to be critical or negative but bypass this stop at all costs.

Location and setting were excellent, food was good, no beer on tap and very expensive cans ($14 from memory). Heaps of ground for the kids to play and good music on offer.

Only slight heads up is to not book at the end of the day as we did, felt very rushed as the staff cleaned up around us. Early afternoon would have been perfect.

Great grounds and good service.only had time for quick visit.was well looked after with their homemade Bottled cola, wine and their chips (should be called wedges)

Was looking forward to what I ordered.chips not wedges.

Lovely settings. Worth a visit.

The place is wonderful, but not impressed with the rude manager that was allocating tables. Maybe he was just having a bad day but customers don't deserve his attitude. Best pizzas.

Decor inside is amazing and staff very friendly and helpful. Ordered a $28 dollar pizza that was very disappointing and hugely overpriced.

Have come down to this region for 14 years and have sadly NEVER come upon such a grumpy wine tasting host. Didn't talk to us, no explaining the wines and not a single smile.
Even IF someone is having a bad day, you CAN'T treat your guests like that.
