Swings & Roundabouts Winery reviews
71A great place for lunch. Great view, Laid back with pizzas and good pizza wine. A great combo for a lazy lunch. Highly recommended
We arrived to a table that was down in the sun despite the booking being made in September. We were then asked to move within 70 minutes as the next customers had arrived, I must add the pizza wait time was 90 minutes. We were then moved to another table inside where we were promised the pizzas would be redirected. We received some of the pizzas and ended up getting a refund for the undelivered pizzas at our request. I will mention this was a group of 12 that would have spent in excess of $1200 majority in beer and wine.little to no customer service. In all honesty I won’t rush back, was a pretty horrid day.
Went on a Thursday for pizza, waited an hour and left with no pizza. Went to find out on eta twice and was told oops we have 2 of that number. So some randoms got our pizza twice and we left hungry and annoyed. If you know you have 2 of the same number and it causes issues do something about it. Used to be a fav but service has gone downhill. Local teens working DGAF.
Relaxed garden vibes, with fun swing seats and lots of space. Delicious pizza, with fast service and attentive staff despite being busy! The two of us were able to walk in on a Sunday without a booking.
Love the ambience of this place. Great and extensive playground but still plenty of grass to play cricket on or sit on. Pizza's and wine are delicious also. Love the swings table!
We went there with friends and kids, a really beautiful place and the playgrounds are awesome. The wines and pizzas are delicious and the staff are really nice.
Will come back next time we down there. Thank you for the great lunch and afternoon at your beautiful venue!
So glad to have found this place! Great view, family friendly and delicious thin pizzas. Not to mention we really enjoyed their white wines. Highly recommend and make sure to book in advance to secure a shady spot.
It's a lovely place to visit and very kid friendly. It's set up to take walk ins though you will be sitting outside. They do provide sunscreen if you didn't bring any. The pizzas tasted nice though a bit on the pricey side.
Main negative is they won't let you change/remove any of the ingredients on the pizzas (it really isn't difficult to remove chilli from a pizza)
Staff were nice until we ordered, having people at the table with food allergies I understand it’s a pain to change the dishes on the menu but to be rudely told “no we can’t change for allergies” is not ok. Then going to get a pint and having the bar staff talking to their friends and not serving anyone doesn’t help. Paying over $60 and our food can’t come out at the same time. Heard nice things but won’t recommend
This place wins if you have kids. Although- RULE NUMBER ONE- don’t serve the adult meals before the kids.
It is expansive and set up for your children to run wild giving you the chance to finally enjoy your glass of wine. However, the food is average at best and needing to visit multiple areas within the expanse to order different portions of your lunch is mere ridiculousness. The pizza was ordinary and the kids pasta was truly horrid. Our 8 year old that eats anything put in front of him couldn’t quite bare to get stuck in. His meal arrived AFTER we had finished our entree, salad and half of our pizza. A true no no for any parents trying to get to that glass of wine before the kids go totally off the reservation.
Nice winery but I would not recommend coming here on a hot day.
The winery looks lovely and the food was delicious, but they are not equipped for hot weather at all. Inside has no air conditioning, and there are no fans, misters or anything else to help with the heat outside. One of the patios has a plastic roof that made the area feel like an oven.
I was also disappointed by the wine tasting experience. The staff member was essentially silent the whole time, but this could have been because of the heat situation as well.
I’d say this place is the best place in MR for families to visit. Lovely view, fantastic playgrounds and dog friendly was a bonus. It would be better to book in before you go as I couldn’t get a shady table when I went (not saying it’s their fault, was mine who didn’t book in advance). You might think there isn’t a lot of options for food but with covid resulting staff shortage I totally understand. I tried 3 pizzas and they were all tasty as well as the pumpkin salad. Even though there was a bit of wait time, we weren’t bored at all taking photos and playing at playgrounds. I will be back with family friends!
Awesome place with great food and friendly and helpful staff. Very busy but great to see lots of staff and very little waiting time. Was going to have a meal at Clairault Streiker but found the staff unwelcoming. Glad we stopped here, will make this a must every time we are here. Loved the Rose’ and the SBS.
Really enjoyed our time here. Heaps of cool seating areas both inside and outside depending on your preference, so it would be good to book based on which section you would prefer.
The menu is simple but the food is really good with two or three entrees and a bunch of pizza options. We were here in summer so there was also an ice cream cart available for dessert. There were only two beers on tap but a lot of wine options available.
Be sure to make a booking as lots of tables had been booked for two seatings when we were here (December school holidays).
We love this beautiful place. Fantastic wine, authentic Italian pizza (it’s not meant to have lots of topping FYI) helpful staff, stunning setting, amazing for kids. Please be patient, everyone in the region is experiencing staff issues due to covid. Be patient and kind and sit back and enjoy the wine ️
Delicious pizza with a variety of selection. My favourites are Boscaiola and Bomba. The venue is also nice and family friendly.
Average wines compared to a few others in the region. Watch out tho when it's busy, they don't allow any modification to the pizza menu (diatary requirements beware) we asked for a pizza with no cheese and were rudely told no. Tables that were also 'reserved' but not labelled as such, and told we have 30mins. Pizza would take almost that long to come from the kitchen leaving us little time to eat and enjoy.
1 Star for customer service
1 star because it is a nice family friendly venue
Loved the Sparkling, Rose's and Cab Sav. The new renovations done in 2019 are amazing - rustic vibe with lots of room. The bathrooms look great with use of exposed copper pipes and troughs as basins! Cassie was friendly and knowledgeable. We will be back on Sunday!
Love the atmosphere, if only they actually made our coffee when we ordered it rather being reminded they still have to make it 30 minutes later
Best pizza in WA!
The calzone is a must go.
The chardonnay will go perfectly with it.
