Sweetwater Rooftop Bar

Very nice rooftop restaurant with a wonderful view of the sunset. Access to the restaurant with a lift, suitable for wheelchairs.great atmosphere in the restaurant.cozy seats.the service very very friendly.the cocktails fancy and well done.only the food was very disappointing, except for the dumplings, which were very good.but the dough with theSpring onions was hard and oily.it must have just been thrown in the fryer and baked in there for too long.the cauliflower dish was also dripping with fat and didn't do the place justice. We wouldn't go there again to eat, but for Cocktail drink absolutely recommendable.

Loved the place and ambiance, pretty darn view from the top and it was all packed. Great drinks and food to choose from Only suggestion if I could make would be to improve vegetarian food.

This is the worst meal I have ever had. The chicken was non existent just thick revolting batter that was supposed to be chilli with a maple glaze and the ribs were a container consisting of 5 bones both with a salty yucky soy sauce coating even the dog wouldn't touch it. I would give this no stars if I could. The rice was okay.

Came here with my wife. Ate the ribs, noodles and laksa wonton! Absolutely lovely! Cocktails are to die for and the service was lovely! The vibe is perfect for a night out with the girls or a cute date! Love it will be back

Love this space, it’s a rooftop bar that has beautiful views in summer and is kept so toasty and warm in winter. The cocktails are delicious, I recommend the one with coconut foam on top. I’ve had many dinners here and have had a few birthday events here, the staff are always friendly and accommodating and their gluten free options are amazing. If you’re going for dinner I recommend trying the chef selection for $65pp. It covers most of the menu and there is so much food. Guarantee you won’t regret it.

Most disappointing! Food was rushed, fish over cooked and food average. For the price it’s ridiculously priced! Expected more! Service was rushed. Expected much more for the amount we paid

I live here at this point…. I absolutely love their food and drinks. Happy hour is my favourite time to come but regardless food is always reasonable priced.

Had my birthday dinner at sweetwater rooftop bar lastnight for the silk roads Turkish event. All of the staff were great and had absolutely amazing customer service!
Big big thumbs up to the head chef billy and the rest of the kitchen crew for such amazing food, most of it was food I would never order but now I wish it was on the regular menu all year round so I could get it all again! The flat bread, with fennel and lemon balm and the braised beef cheeks with Hummus, Turkish bread and pomegranate were my absolute favourites!
All big portions and amazing flavours!

Went for daughters 18th, we ordered a bunch of dishes to share and all were amazing, as was the service, very impressed! Special shout out to the chilli chicken and Dan Dan noodle’s. We will be earlier next time for happy hour.

What a find! What can I say about this place, firstly my expectations were pretty high after looking at their website to walking through the front door were spot on.

Without even eating or drinking anything Sweeteater have set an amazing scene with their decor, making you feel like you have transported yourself to a completely different place with an amazing rooftop vibe. I liked how the place was split into two halves where they have a specific bar and chill zone whilst still catering to a restaurant section which in my opinion was done perfectly. At no stage did I think this place was just a bar because the two sections were done in a way where you both have privacy and couldn't hear the other side which was great.

The food, oh my what a selection of classic Asian dishes. So many amazing dishes I will have to come back to try more. If you are struggling on choosing I would suggest the chefs selection as it is $65pp and you receive 3 small dishes, 2 large and 1 dessert. But oh my for 2 people we were thoroughly full with delight.

The portion sizes were very generous for the price. Where we were struggling to prepare ourselves for the next course hahaha.

The staff were exceptional in their hospitality and attentive service. Always helpful with questions and organising a takeaway container haha.

I cannot wait to return to Sweeteater soon, hungry for more.

I had been wanting to come here for a while, I went on a Sunday and didn’t realise you had to book, the name being rooftop bar I thought it would be more of a bar. The staff however were able to accommodate us. We ordered dumplings as we are both dumping fans, but we were kind of disappointed, the dumplings were dry and lacked flavour, the skin was chewy, the seafood ones were the best because of the sauce but the ones that had the peanut sauce on them tasted like peanut butter, that’s all you could taste. I was going to give 3 stars but the cocktails however were amazing! Some of the best cocktails we’ve had and it was happy hour so of course we had to try as many as we could. I don’t usually like pina coladas but I’ve been converted from the cocktail with coconut cream. I will be back again for the cocktails not so much the food.

A hidden gem of a place that you wouldn't really expect to be located where it is.but a gorgeous & stunning open rooftop bar. We had their Yum Cha $49 set menu which gave great variety & the food was presented beautifully & tasted amazing! Cocktails were on point too! Friendly, efficient & knowledgeable service. I'll be back again, definitely worth a visit!

Best service I've had in a very long time, thanks to waitress SU. She deserves a medal. Not only did she manage a big table of over 20 women with ease, but she remembered all the dietary requirements at the table - and assured those who were waiting for their special meal, when it was coming. SU - you are a LEGEND! Food was excellent too!:)

We had our Christmas work lunch here. The food was really good, however the service was a bit slow. Will definitely try for dinner next time.

Visited Sweetwater after reading reviews.
We weren't disappointed, the food was of a very high standard particularly the Duck & Lychee curry but in all honesty all the food was amazing.
Great menu with alot of choice can't wait to visit again.

Sweet water rooftop bar is usually a regular for myself and my bestie however last night we brought our husbands to a place we bang on about and love BUT unfortunately we we're all very disappointed the 2 best drinks have gone including your signature sweet water cocktail which was amazing! The new one being sold and told by staff its similar is actually disgusting, I really hope more people complain so the other REAL sweetwater cocktail comes BACK! PLEASE PLEASE also our meals took so long to come out and most were delicious except your new cuttlefish sambal one its pretty uneatable (because of the chilli and I love chilli) but we left it and no concern from staff was given to not charge us so we didn't bother to tell them the drinks were rubbish shame really! I guess though that's what happens when you get your regulars come they know how and what your food and drinks are meant to taste like and sizing too the sticky beef was a much larger version 2 years ago and the beef curry is delicious but you use to give a larger portion anyhow we usually come on our own and sometimes with friends and I was planning on bringing family that are visiting in Dec/Jan im not so sure I'll be bringing them now I will have to check cocktails before hand I can most definitely forgive the busyness and that food took awhile to come out but not smaller servings and Definitely need better cocktails. Anyhow sorry for the 2 stars that's because of the drinks and staff not really caring that we weren't happy considering the price of things and the time we waited, otherwise usually 5 stars for old drinks and delicious food even if it is getting smaller
