Sweetwater Rooftop Bar reviews
96Food and service was top notch. We were seated at a great table and received excellent advice about the menu. Service was attentive but not obtrusive. Feed Me Menu- recommended.
Such a great spot to catch the sunset, looking out over the Port. Service was fantastic and we loved using the app for ordering. Food and drinks were delicious, best take on a 'Pina Colada'.
Lots of other groups enjoying their Christmas lunches and we were there doing the same on 8.12.23. Yummy Feed Me degustation with excellent cocktails, mocktails, beer and red wine
Service was great, very friendly wait staff.
Food was sub-par and I'm glad we went for some smaller dishes. San Choi Bow (watery pork, dry, not very tasty), chicken & ginger dumplings (these were excellent tbh) & Mongolian sticky beef (extremely dry). We also ordered the bao buns as a recommendation with the sticky beef but these were just so dry, we couldn't eat them (taken off the bill).
Be prepared that this place is very LOUD, overwhelmingly so.
We had a blast. The people we were with made it the best brunch! Caleb was an amazing server (would smash), looks like bellamy from the 100 series on Netflix. Vish was nice. Food was awesome, could me less sweet but the portion size was very big. Didn’t hold hold us back on drinks thanks a lot. Matched our vibes.
Caleb, Taylah and Jazz gave us the absolute best bottomless brunch we could imagine, the drinks flowed perfectly and the food was amazing as always, and the staff was soo soo friendly. I would and absolutely will recommend this to all my friends as the best bottomless brunch I’ve ever been too
Wonderful selection of delicious food. Lovely location. Attentive service. What I was hoping for and needed. Plus some.
Great venue with really good quality Asian cuisine. Nice drink selection. Definitely worth a visit
Happy hour always my favourite time at Sweetwater! The food is a massive hit with my family and I every visit. Had a phenomenal spicy gin cucumber cocktail recommended by the bartender Jazmin. Can’t go wrong with this place:)
Food was amazing but service was a bit slow but the reason was new chefs and the manager made up for it which was nice. The restaurant is well decorated
Sweetwater food was tasty however could have been improved (hor fun and Dan Dan noodles, the papaya salad was delicious). We were told they were under staffed so they’ve done well to accommodate the 6of us adults (no thanks to their grumpy boss). Decor was on point.
Fantastic night at Sweet Water Rooftop Bar. Our host Dylan went above and beyond to ensure we were well looked after, this kind of service goes a long way. We'll be back!
Omg where do I start. Stunning location/venue, AMAZING food, professional service from the waiters. Couldn’t fault a thing. Cannot wait to return next time I’m in town.
Delicious, beautiful looking meals delivered quickly to our table. Love the vibe and the complementary drinks for our anniversary were a lovely touch.
Probably one of the nicest meals ive had in a long time. Everything was delicious especially the calamari and the cauliflower. Booked in for Christmas once we had finished dessert
The atmosphere and vibe are very nice, and there is no intrusion from the canning highway at all. We went on a very busy night and we understand they were suffering from last minute staff shortages. Unfortunately this coloured our experience as we had a long wait for drinks and food and staff were obviously under the pump, some dishes were not as good as they should have been and we did not get one dish that we ordered and paid for. Also the on table phone based ordering system did not seem to work. That said, we all agreed that we would definitely return as the staff, food and atmosphere were very good, just impacted by the circumstances. Please go, give it a try, maybe on a quieter weeknight and you will not be disappointed.
Food is good, the cauliflower dish is delicious! Drinks are a miss and arrived after we got some of our food, they look fantastic they just don't taste it. Service wasn't great as no one greeted us without having to be waved down after a long wait or brought anything for us to eat with, instead just dropped dishes off one by one on our used/dirty table top from the previous guests and walked away. We got up and got our own cutlery and plates from the front reception area. After the meal I was keen to move on and get another drink elsewhere. I'm glad we visited, this was on my to-do list for ages but I won't rush back
My partner wanted to book dinner here for my birthday as a special occasion because he heard the bar was really great, so he made a reservation almost a week in advance. We got to the bar yesterday no tables were reserved so the waiter put us in the back corner instead if outside up against a glass window that only displayed the walls of the building next to us. We ordered our food in a tiny menu and the food was out of stock so we ordered the waiters recommendations and he brought out 4 dumpling each for us. Both 'meals' and two drinks were extortionatly priced and we had to get take out afterwards because we were both still starving. This was an appalling experience.
Beautiful ambiance, lovely food, good customer service and amazing cocktails. Many vegetarian options which is great!
The lift from Silas street is filthy. The lobby area was full of cleaning equipment as we entered. Passed a long table (obviously where there had been a Christmas party) full of empty plates and glasses that no-one had bothered to clean up. Once seated by the "maître d" was told there was no staff to take our orders - we had to download an app to order direct from the kitchen. Clearly no option to discuss dietary requirements. Decided to leave before ordering anything. Menu looked quite good too. Went to Tao Café in Myaree where we had a great meal. I understand it's a busy time of year, but if Sweetwater is so pressed to find staff to provide even a modicum of service, why do they continue to take bookings?
