Had an absoultely amazing haircut with Aimee! Had a total restyle of my hair, and it's one of, if not THE best haircut I've ever had! Feels really good to have my hair reflect myself so well!

Had a discovery session with Aimee initially and they were very sweet and accommodating! Aimee walked me through the entire process and made sure that I was comfortable the entire time. Salons usually make me very anxious and stressed but Aimee was fantastic and the whole salon felt very welcoming. Super happy with how my hair turned out, will be coming back!

I had a hair discovery (consult) appointment with Aimee yesterday. The studio was nice and quiet with a super friendly and inviting atmosphere. Aimee was very accomodating and talked me through everything. I can't wait to go back and get my hair cut at a salon that understands my needs as an autistic person.

Cannot recommend Studio Misfits enough. I feel so comfortable when coming here, no judgements at all. It's like spending time with friends during services.
Product range is great and salon is always clean and presentable.

I really, really wanted to love my appointment there. Atmosphere-wise I absolutely did and I find it amazing that the team has managed to create a safe space for everybody here!
Sadly I just wasn't really happy with my haircut. It ended up being way shorter than I wanted and simply looked nothing like the pictures I showed beforehand. Also my haircut felt really rushed and instead of one hour the whole appointment took roughly 25min. I seemed to have been the last customer for the day and it felt a little as though my appointment was cut short in order for everybody to go home sooner. (Maybe I'm wrong in that assumption, if so I'm sorry. It was simply my experience).
I'm sure it was a one-time-thing and just bad timing.
In general I would recommend the salon to everybody who just wants to feel accepted and well taken care of when going to the hairdresser.

Really great place! Very accommodating, kind and respectful to anyone and everyone. I immediately feel comfortable and able to express any ideas or needs that I have, staff are more than happy to walk through their process with you and have a good chat. I've only been a couple times but I will absolute return when I need a fresh cut: D Really happy to have such a place in Perth.

Had a great haircut done by Rachel! They were lovely to chat to, and shed some light on what I need to do with my hair in the style it currently is, and what needs to be done to make it what I wanted originally (before another hairdresser didn't do the right thing). Highly recommend, super lovely people, and easy to get to; theres a bus stop super close and a carpark across from them!

Great cut from a well informed hairdresser who offered me great tips on looking after my hair between cuts. End result was what I wanted and suited my needs. Awesome!

Excellent salon that caters beautifully to neurodivergent and gender diverse people. A warm and friendly team that welcomes and accepts everyone just as they are, and also does some rad stuff with hair.

My hair found it's safe home space here.

A few years ago I went to another (now out of business) salon, the hair stylist didn't listen to what I wanted and I walked out traumatised.

It took me two years before I let another stylist look at my hair and whilst that experience was better I still didn't feel comfortable.

Fast forward to the second half of 2021 and I saw a recommendation for Studio Misfits, a couple of months later I booked a consultation with Rach and when I walked in I instantly relaxed. Six months on and I love my hair, I love the colour and style that the team here has helped create for me. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else now and my hair appointments are one of the things I look forward to most on my calendar.

This place was incredible! Everybody was so lovely and welcoming, the conversation was great.zachary did an amazing job on my hair, giving me a full cut + colour and it was exactly what i wanted.the whole time they were checking with me and asking about adjustments to the hair, taking the cut really slow and consulting me.and the end result was amazing.the place itself was also really beautiful, very open and spacious and i felt comfortable there the whole time. 100% would go back + recommend to others) thanks again!

Another wonderful experience with the awesome folks at Studio Misfits yesterday. The service I received from Riley and Zachary was warm, welcoming, accommodating, kind and empathic. Zachary listened to and clarified what I was seeking. They talked me through every step of process, explaining what they were doing and why, and made sure I was satisfied as things progressed. I have severe anxiety about getting hair cuts due to several horrible past experiences and Zachary is the first hairdresser I trust to not do me wrong. They also have a great vibe, sense of humour and really easy to engage with. Will never go anywhere else and can't recommend them enough ️

Amazing, inclusive salon experience that allows you to tailor the experience to your needs. Don't like small talk? Stunning, book a quiet service. Don't like touch? No head massage for you!

It is so so wonderful to see that high quality, inclusive salons exist - and I'm so grateful that my hair stylist joined their team.
