I have recently been going to see Joseph to address some back pain and postural concerns of mine. He was very forthcoming about how his treatment could and could not help me. He was patient, and would clarify anything I didn't understand. He also sent me away with a clear plan on how I could continue my progress outside of my visits with him. I will happily continue to see him!

Joseph took me in last minute as I was stuffed and couldn’t move my back. Got a booking on the same day, and in 3 days it was solved, he is very professional and even talked me through exercises to do at home and even send me videos of the exercises. I definetly recommend him

He is not just limited to adjusting your spine or working on you, he also works with you for some section of benefitable exercise. I'm surprised to see my body's improvement and reduce the suffer of my pain in just a few visits.

As a regular gym goer and someone who leads a very active lifestyle, health and fitness has always been a priority. Trying to maintain this lifestyle with chronic shoulder, neck and back pain (which has continued for 10 years) has been debilitating. Hot sweats, throbbing pain, immobile joints and bed ridden days was at one point normality.

Over the course of 10 years I have seen countless chiros, physios, specialists, pain specialists and experts to treat me. These injuries have stemmed from a childhood car accident, rotary cuff tears, post op shoulder pain and nerve damage. All visits with previous clinicians have found intermittent results, but ultimately all treated by bandaid solutions where the underlying problems would just re-emerge over time

I was then referred to Joseph by a close friend. Expecting the worst (based on former success rates with previous clinicians) and hoping for the best, I am so grateful that Jo was recommended. He is a practitioner who has genuinely stepped up to holistically understand my pain and resolve my years of frustration. Jo is a very detailed orientated professional and through process of elimination was able to get to the crucks of all my issues very quickly and methodically. His advice is constantly well-rounded, clear, succinct and intuitive. His sessions comprise of rehabilitation regimes/exercises which requires patients to take proactive step in their recovery – this for me has been key, keep it up despite any set-backs, but the discipline with Jo’s lead has been my ticket to pain free. His hands on / soft tissue work is targeted, evidence based and importantly for me, pain relieving! Jo is not a salesman who promises the world and underdelivers, he is a practitioner who properly cares for his patients wellbeing and will work through and through to achieve the best possible results. I would highly recommend Dr Joe to anyone looking for a Chiropractor that wants the root of their problem solved. Joe is kind and professional, and I always leave feeling positive about my treatment plan and progress. Finally a chiro that doesn't just give you an expensive 5min appointment for a quick crack! Joe makes sure the root of your problem is addressed and helped through a combination of manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation. Step One Chiro is a bright and airy clinic with a great range of exercise equipment, and loads of parking during peak times. Hands down best chiropractor in Perth that i've been to!

I can't recommend Joseph enough! He is so knowledgable and good at what he does. He has mapped out a customized recovery plan for my knee pain that is so clearly tailored towards my specific needs (no cookie cutter stuff here). He took the time to go over each exercise with me to ensure it was being done the right way, and fielded all of the questions and concerns I had with a remarkable level of professionalism and compassion. I have absolute confidence that he will be able to get me back to functioning and moving the way I was previously, which is a massive shift from the mindset I had just a short month ago. If I could give 6/5 stars, I would!

Highly recommend seeing Step One Chiro! Joseph integrates a great holistic philosophy into his practice - it's not just manipulation of the spine but incorporates mobility, movement and exercises for injury prevention.

A mobility and exercise plan was tailored for me to help improve the flexibility and reduce the pain in my upper/middle back. After 2 weeks the pain had greatly reduced, and pain free after a month.
