Stay Margaret River

Danger! My partner and both had our skin BURNT by the scalding hot water coming out of the tap. We told the lady at reception for the safety of other guests (especially kids) but she just said “no it’s set to a standard temperature. ” If someone from Stay Margaret River reads this please have a look at the water heater - something is definitely not right.

Good value despite being older accommodation, very enjoyable stay.

-breakfast delicious
-restaurant menu has become smaller, but still has a good variety. Food and service both excellent!

We used Hip Camps to book our stay at Jarvis Estate Winery. Great location, great hosts, definitely returning.

Unfortunately we have been scammed by this place please before you stay in a room check the furniture. We got accused of marking a table and they charged us $500.
Also room service isn’t room service you have to go and pick up what you order.
Would not recommend staying here at all

We have stayed at Stay Margaret River several times as a family now. Staff are always great and facilities are good for the price

This is the 6th time we have had our breaks at Stay Margaret River and really enjoy it every time. Beautiful setting, walking distance to town, spacious parking and set amongst the trees. A well maintained complex with a very well managed team. All staff are professional, attentive to customer needs and friendly. The Willow Restaurant has very nice breakfast and evening meals, spacious and clean.

Clean rooms with nice gardens and outside ambience. If there is anything that can make it better is a bigger playground and seats for families

I'm a very positive person but when we arrived at Stay Margaret River, to find that our room had inadvertently  not been booked and we then had to downgrade, was NOT the issue. Justin, front manager, could not find it in himself to even offer an apology. It was always someone's else's fault. When asked about breakfast times he responded with, "It's all on the back of the sheet. "  When we asked about retrieving our voucher his response was "You've been here before! ". When asked about getting more milk for our  fridge in our room,   he directed us to the lovely young waitpersons in restaurant, who then advised us to return to Justin in Reception. We once again returned to reception and was offered one small "juice size" milk by receptionist. We asked for another and the woman walked away from us visibly shaking her head.   Another unwarranted gesture.
Rudeness is uncalled for in any setting especially if you want repeat business. Management needs to treat visitors with respect. If an error is made, just own it - your visitors will be more understanding of the issue if you just accept that, as the company's front face, you need to make amends.
You may have worked long hours but so have your visitors who have worked a full day then had to jump in a car and drive 31/2 hours to stay in your hotel. We don't want to be confronted by grumpy, impatient management.
The girls in the restaurant made our day. Thank goodness for Happy staff.
We won't be returning STAY. Perhaps management can reassess how they treat their guests because you did not do yourselves any favours on our final visit this weekend.

It met our needs but I think its more a motel than hotel. Staff were friendly and attentive. Good breakfast choices. However one bath mat for 4 people over 3 nights meant very wet underfoot and very smelly.

We spent a lovely 5 nights at Stay MR. Accommodation was good and access to a central room for using a microwave was really helpful. Stay is close to the centre of MR and very easy access to all the region has to offer, although you do need a car to stay there. Breakfast was fantastic and we highly recommend it! The large open fire at night in the bar was very welcoming in an August stay.

Great Location away from the hassle and bustle town centre with fantastic breakfast and dinner. Stay has wonderful pond next to Willow Grill restaurant, pool, giant chess system and mini golf game.

My partner and I stayed with our baby recently and we absolutely loved Stay Margaret River. The staff, in particular manager Justin made us feel extremely welcome at check-in and our room was perfect. Very clean and well set out for a small family. The breakfast included was spectacular and the property is in a perfect location to easily visit wineries and other attractions in the area! Definitely recommend to anyone and everyone.

Had three nights and queen room small but comfortable and shower amazing!
Clean fresh towels every morning would have been nice but we got a good deal so this wasn’t included.
Buffet breakfast was terrific however disappointed with Tapas dinner menu and value for money. Restaurant staff friendly however Reception staff could have been more accommodating. Overall a 3/5

On every visit to Margaret River you always find something new and on this visit, it was Stay Margaret River.
We booked a deal and to be honest were not sure what to expect.
The hotel was lovely, about 1.5km from the town centre, set amongst beautiful trees. It was a lovely location
We had a 2 bedroom unit which was very clean and spacious.
We had a little patio at the back which we sat every afternoon and had a couple of drinks.
There was mini golf, chess etc and we enjoyed every minute of our stay.
The bar was nice and so was the Restaurant
I believe this is rated 3 star, i have travelled a lot and this is a nice 3 star place. It is older but very clean

Comfortable and clean accommodation. Friendly and efficient staff.
Very impressed with our king room had everything we could possibly need. The hotel has beautiful grounds and is very close to the town centre.

Prior to arrival, excellent communication after reservations made. Friendly, professional welcome and service throughout our stay. Very generous with the little extras provided. Delicious Tapas dining. Gardens beautiful and location close to CBD but far enough away to avoid hustle and bustle about town. Thank you to Justin and staff. Looking forward to a winter stay with you!

What a fantastic and welcoming establishment to stay in. My wife and I have some special needs plus a very cute dog. We were welcomed and every effort was made to meet our particular needs. Our Dog soon had the run of the place, which made it a very relaxing 9 night stay. Right from the first phone contact when we worked though our needs and came to a very agreeable arrangement concerning the Tariff it was a pleasure to interact with the Staff. We hope to return very soon. I can't speak highly enough of the staff and the facilities. A more recent 2 night stay with Bonnie, my Dog, for a live Concert was everything I've come to expect from Stay Margaret River

Thoroughly recommend Stay Margaret River. Beautiful rustic garden setting with trees, plants and birds everywhere. Relaxing around pool with a choice of sun loungers in the shade - or in the sun. This would have to be the best value accommodation in the area (with lovely breakfast included - delicious bacon, best poached eggs ever, mushrooms, grilled tomato, baked beans, hash browns, toast, cereal, fresh fruit in abundance and choice of fruit drinks, tea and coffee. No need for lunch after this delicious feast.

The room was just right staff friendly great location and we will come again next time for several days.
