South Beach Cafe

This is a handy cafe near the beach but the coffee was not good at all. I couldn’t drink it tasted like plastic. Savoury muffin was tasteless and floury. Worst muffin I’ve ever had.

Been there twice in 3 weeks & both times was greeted & served by the same rude, sarcastic, condescending, judgmental man.assuming he is the owner.clearly hates his business/job so much he has to take his sad life attitude out on paying customers.which is disappointing as the juice & food i got was nice.wouldn’t recommend giving this place your business.make the extra 500m trip to south terrace.

Good food and coffee. Walk through the dunes to the beach. Plenty of outdoor seating and parking. A hidden gem.

Good place to grab a bite to eat with the pooches after a walk along the dog beach. The Tropical Thunder smoothie was really yum and refreshing.

Terrible customer service. Staff could not be less interested. Older guy (not sure if he was the owner) but rude and abrupt and it was not busy at all. Coffee was terrible, not extra hot as I had asked. He left my Dad's muffin in the microwave for over 15 minutes, had to go ask for it and then he just handed it over in a bag. It was cold and soggy.
The Bruschetta I ordered looked great but was the most tasteless I've ever had. No garlic? No seasoning, awful.
Tables were appallingly sticky (gross) and the place is in need of a good clean! Disgusting.

All in all, give this place a big miss. Won't be back.

A favourite coffee Cafe, we often take our dogs here as it's a dog friendly Cafe.
Great food can also be purchased here. A gem of a place frequented by multitudes.

Had their salad sandwich for lunch while trying to keep cool under the beautiful trees at South Beach. Without doubt the best salad sandwich I have probably ever had - all the components were fresh and plentiful. Will definitely eat here again.

Loved it. Only thing I would say is the PA call outs for orders are really hard on the ears and disturbed the dogs quite a bit. Would have been a 5 star otherwise:)

Casual: Friendly, busy, almost on the beach great steakburger the food comes in generous serves. And the dogs are allowed outside In the El Fresco area.

My first time at South Beach and I will definitely be back! Lovely service from staff and the chicken roll I ordered was absolutely delicious! I also had a hot chocolate which was the best hot chocolate I've had in a long time.

Great iced coffee and my girl had a green slushy which was a little bit on the high side of median priced, the coffee about average price, service was pretty quick considering they were fairly busy, seems very popular!

One of the nices cafes with one of the nicest fish+chips Ive ever enjoyed. The coffee is great too+its a beaut outlook as well

My wife and I went to this cafe Thought was wonderful and the food was great, The only real problem and reason that we never gave it five stars is that in this cafe is one Lebanese man with a cap that never smiles who seems to think that it is OK to talk to the customers and especially the children like he was something that he scraped of the bottom of his shoes. He talked to our well behave grandson harshly saying that he could not stand near his grandmother in line to make space for other customers that was not even there. There were no other customers waiting and as our grandson is very little he was scared holding onto his nana"s leg. Everytime we come to this cafe we witnessed him always being very rude. But the rest of the staff are completely wonderful

This cafe is very welcoming. Nicely situated close to the beach. Very busy at times but the food is lovely. The beach is reasonably clean and the water is very inviting. A great place to take kids as they would enjoy the calm waters.

What a fantastic kiosk. Great products and very friendly service, well done. Coffee is delicious!

Super cool cafe.old school. Perfect location for the beach. Friendly and relaxed. Come off the beach with family and pets.no problem. Come off the beach, changing and showers next door. Heaps of parking. Grass and trees right outside the cafe.

The simple, cobbled-together feel the beachfront cafe is atmospheric and authentic experience. It is a nice place to meet up with friends and get a bite before you head down to the beach.

Great dog friendly cafe. Enjoyed eggs Benedict with salmon and pancakes with berries. Able to reserve a table easily. Only downside were found the plastic chairs uncomfortable to sit in for any length of time. Maybe a ploy haha!

Its not fancy but it has a lot to offer. Big menu, plenty to suit all dietary requirements. Not overpriced. Humble café. I like it.

Didn't actually go in the cafe just checking my old swimming beach has changed from 60s and 70s
