Solo Pasta reviews
75 Chilli Prawn pasta was flavourless and tasted like boiled vegetable water and lemon.
Other tomato based seafood pasta was ok.
Wow food was so fast hot and delicious also staff so friendly and so funny will definitely return
Easy parking, great food, great service, food served quickly and fantastic desserts. Hands down the best pasta I've ever eaten!
We booked, but looked like some people were waiting for a table or takeaway.
Food came out super quick, within 10 min of ordering. We ordered the carbonara with spinach pasta and the crumbed chicken red sauce with normal pasta. Both were 4m of pasta in these pics (3m being standard and we bought the extra metre) we did have a small amount to take home but we were hungry so I'd probably do that again.
Note that the pasta is wide tagliatelle style and is cooked el dente as it should be - delicious!
Sauces were seasoned well and good amount of chicken in sauce. The cabbage and apple slaw though - omg that was sooooo freakin good. Best accompaniment to the pasta. We'll definitely go back and try some of the other, more differenr, sauce combinations like green curry etc!
Amazing experience! So many exciting young people there and unusual Italian Pasta! Ruby and Margarita were fabulous fun and impeccable service. The Owner David even came over to ensure best experience, which was appreciated. I am returning as soon as I can!
A gem of a pasta-house. It's always full of people and bookings are often necessary, but the online booking system is very easy to use. Sauces are excellent. Pasta is always cooked aldente, which I like but may not suit everyone. The kids meal combo is particularly good value for younger kids.
Loved it, thankyou very much! Ive been here a number of times, Great location, to parking or public transport! Professional and friendly service, Good variety of dishes & beverages. Nice atmosphere.
Fantastic food great service, the staff were extremely attentive, noting was too much.also check out the drinking straws - made from pasta - amazing idea
As the name suggests, pasta is the highlight. You can build your own pasta by choosing the sauce, and pasta type. All pasta are fettuccine, but can be spinach classic or beetroot based. A few entrees are available too. Pasta is quite tasty, particularly the classic and spinach ones. I didn't like the beetroot, but definitely not a let down, just a personal choice.
Food was good but the owner was rude, was looking at us in a weird way and she came to tell us how our kids were so noisy because they were running back and forth and playing around.
This place isn’t child friendly at all.
Pretty good pasta, good portion sizes although wish there a bit more generosity with the meat and mushrooms etc. The creamy base was tasty and not too overpowering. Overall a little expensive, but service was good and friendly
The only reason why I gave 4 stars is due to uncooked pasta on one of the dish that we had. Even though it is just part of the dish, still it is being unpleasant having uneven texture with parts not cooked and still sticks together. Understandable that they are packed and busy, this is why I cant be bothered complaining as we were really hungry and just savour it. Sauce were great.
Great dining experience here, we will be back again! Fun concept, plenty of options and everyone enjoyed their meal. Staff were friendly and attentive. Really appreciate how helpful the staff were to manage an allergy.
Never a quiet dining room. Always enjoy the filling savory menu items: Fresh pastas by the meter. Fresh ingredients, and sauces. Worth the wait or reservation. If you are a pasta lover = recommend.
‘Make your own” unique menu combinations.
• Accessible
• Veg options available
• Reasonably priced meals & drinks
If i could give a zero stars i would, I ordered the seafood pasta, seafood non existant prawns that were smaller then shrimp like bait. I asked the manager were is the seafood octopus fish prawns nothing in there she then tried to find a prawn in my dish it was that tiny she said she would get me more seafood when i got my plate back there were 4 king prawns i asked how come my plate didnt come out originally with these prawns and more seafood she said something about it being seasonal and we run out of stock. Miraculously 4 king prawns appeared on my plate. The pasta is so think and floury and hard i did not eat my meal dont bother they have no idea how to make pasta let alone being stingy on seafood.
My partner and I had our first date here about 9 months ago, and it was certainly memorable.
Service was great, we had a lovely time. Half way through my second wine however, I started to feel violently ill. My beautiful partner took me home where I just managed to reach the toilet to throw up my guts. I have never experienced food poisoning before then, but it was some of the most horrifically painful 8 hours of vomiting and diarrhoea of my life.
Serverly dehydrated with excruciating headaches the next few days, I reached out to the Solo Pasta facebook to warn them that something may be bad in their kitchen, I was immediately met with an arrogant, flippant message.
"We had 34 people eat the same meal as you and no one else got sick so you can't have got it from us".
My partner, who had reported the incident separately from me the night before, had been given the same defensive reply even though we hadn't mentioned that we were together, so I knew that that had been an out right lie. It was only when I mentioned going to the city council with my concerns that I had anyone take the issue seriously, with the owner reaching out to contact me. By then I was just too weak to continue arguing and spent the next week recovering.
I hadn't reached out to this restaurant seeking any kind of compensation, I had simply wanted to warn them so they could look into a potencial salmonella case and I was treated with absolute disdain and completely dismissed.
I'll never step foot in the place again, and I have warned everyone that I know against it. Let my first date story be a cautionary tale.
Probably one of the best, if not the best, pasta experiences I've had in Perth. I don't really have anything to complain about. There's an amazing range of sauces, and I love how you can choose the amount of pasta you get. The entrees were beautiful. The food came out really fast after ordering. The customer service was great. All round 10/10. Would recommend and would come back (and already have!).
By far some of the best Pasta I've ever had, my family goes here on special occasions and are NEVER left disappointed, if I could give this place a 6 star rating I would! My only complaint is making me go over my carb limit for the day! Can't wait to dine in here again
Enjoyed my beef dish, but the meat was overcooked and a bit tough. Pasta and sauce was excellent
I really love the pasta but the combination of a protein and some pasta don’t sit very well for us. Pasta was big and hard to eat but that was the fun, just cut it bit by bit before you take a bite. Still going back there as I love fresh homemade pasta and it’s spinach pasta!
