Saowanee's Place Thai Restaurant

This place is amazing. Best Pad Thai and Thai green curry I've had out side of Thailand will definitely be back.

Usually a nice reasonably priced meal, fresh and tasty, the meat could b a bit more tender, beef and pork, slightly chewy

The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and accommodating, me and my bf really enjoyed everything. The only thing I could say negatively about this place is they are long over due for a revamp of the place, it’s a bit run down and could use a makeover.

My partner is from Thailand so I wanted to take her to an authentic Thai restaurant for her birthday. She loved the papaya salad & the pla` rad phrik fish. The crunchy prawn salad was magnificant. The service and food was great, the food was plentiful and the owner makes your visit feel warm and like you are in their home. They have a good alcohol list and also a byo (wine only) licence. We booked a table of 7 and shared the dishes off the centre turntable. Saowanee even gave my partner some jars of her "world famous" sauces that she makes herself as a birthday gift. A very enjoyable evening.

Our favourite Thai restaurant in Perth. Came here for the first time 7 years ago and fell in love with their Pad Thai. I think it is the best I have ever had and I have come back for it many many times, it is just consistently great. My partner and I have also tried all their curries through out the years and they are all amazing. The food is definitely best when dining in but take away has been very good, too. The staff is super friendly and helpful with dietary requirements. I am already looking forward to our next visit. I can just highly recommend going there in general.

Friendly staff and good service, the food was good but not great. Have had better but definitely have had worst.

Authentic thai food! We got a curry, pad thai and fried rice, the three of them were excellent. Good service!

Ordered the deep fried mushrooms and they were not mushrooms but processed dirt balls.

Got 2 other meals one was the duck 22.50 and they were 5 extremely small pieces of duck.

Great service. Food was good, but not quite value for the price to be honest. The Combination Fried rice and the Beef Stir fry was nice. THe Prawn Thai curry lacked the zing for some reason - would rate some other Thai restos across Perth higher.

Food was good. Also, the staff here was too friendly. They reserved a table for us for the time we requested.
Ample of parking space available so that isn’t an issue either.
Staff understands your special requests and gets the food prepared as you request.

I had a wonderful evening with friends, sharing great traditional Thai food, it’s definetly made with love. This place is a hidden gem and a must try. The service is very prompt and efficient, they go over and above to accommodate. Child friendly! Thank you for a wonderful experience

I don't eat Thai very often but I ordered take away from here and the food was not worth the price.

Just celebrated my brother's 5oth birthday here. The staff were lovely and we were very impressed with the food

Went there for dinner with my wife and my parents. The dishes ordered were Papaya Salad, Stir Fried Chicken and Red Beef Curry

This place has an authentic de`cor about the place, it has indoor, outdoor & takeaway. The staff are very friendly & patient. Has some large & small table so good for parties or a romantic dinner. But no on site parking so you need to park on the street, a little expensive & my green curry lacked a variety of vegetables. Worth trying because we all have our own opinions of thai food & how we like it.

First time to this resto. Food was very good. They have kept to the real thai tastes (apart from the maybe the lack of chilli). Staff were pleasant and very helpful. Maybe time to take down the awards from 12 years ago and earn some new one which if the new owners keep up the quality they surly will.its worth going just to see how they turn a napkin into a paper bowl. Will definatly be going back.
