Santai² Cafe Perth

Wanted to eat Mee Rebus this morning and found Santai Cafe near us with 4.3-star review. The service is top notch starting with a prompt reply to reservation, and then a warm welcome upon arriving. The atmosphere is cosy and pleasant with a few private cubicles. The food is nice and the price is reasonable. We love the Mee Rebus, Lontong and Roti Canai. Would recommend a visit.

(1: 30pm) There are only 2 staff in the restaurant (kitchen & counter). Food order at the counter.
We been seating nearby the window but the table is oily and many food crust, maybe short of staff coz no one coming to clean the table, so we just change to other table instead. (There are only one table of customers when we arrived)

We ordered Chicken Tom Yam Soup wf rice, Chicken Rendang wf rice, Fried Chicken & Teh Tarik. Overall is average

A fairly solid Malaysian restaurant. Good drinks, good food. Just missing a bit of the atmosphere, sometimes a bit quiet.

Food cooked do a improvement. It wasn't as good as it used to. Used to love the teh tarik and corn drink. Now it been a bit water down. Fried chicken are good.

The person on the counter is so good. He confirmed if noodles are gluten free or not, it means he was considering my request. It’s very rare these day.
Food is yummy. It’s our second time.

Amazing layered out restaurant, very friendly staff and amazing food. I can only say satisfaction is the proper description after each bite I have had for the meals.

I highly recommend this place for the people who has a big family like me. The food is yummy. The owner is very friendly, generous and very accommodating. I organised a buffet for my family I never felt the food is running out because the owner keeps filling up the food warmer.

The food portion is humongus, worth every penny. Awesome hot teh tarik. KT kerang is phenomenal. Yong tau fu & its gravy, amazing. Satay is moist & very succulent. Truely 5-star from me.

First time coming here tonight. This place is so slept on! The food was so authentic and tasty! Reasonable prices and good portion sizes.

We ordered the cendol, roti canai with curry and dhal w/ sambal on the side, nasi lemak with beef rendang, nasi lemak with lobster and fried chicken on the side.

Everything was so delicious. The flavours brought me back to Malaysia?

Next time when we come back, we'd love to try the other Nasi Lemak varieties and the Sotong Kangkung.

Food wasn't very great. Better food in other Malaysian restaurants. We ordered nasi lemak but the rice lack the coconut milk taste. Char kuay teow was disappointing. We requested for the ais kacang to come after we've finished our meals but it was served together. Dishes came very slowly despite very few patrons in the restaurant.

Not bad. The lobster was to dry tho.
But the staff was friendly and was a nice place.

Great authentic food however although there were only 2 tables occupied and it took 40 mins to get nasi goreng.they need to work on their kitchen speed

Outstanding Malaysian food. Fairly quiet on a Sunday night with only 2 other tables so the food & drinks (3 layer pandan tea, iced teh tarik, milo dinosaur, iced tea) came out very quickly. Vego kuey teow, Nasi Lemak with prawn sambal, chicken paprik, beef satay, roti canai with dahl & curry. All fantastic. Will return

Santai2 is our family favourite Malaysian cafè. The nasi goreng kampung and the lamb satays are my personal favourite dishes The ambiance in the cafè feels cosy and all the food tastes authentically Malay. The menu may be small, but what they offer is affordable, high quality foods and drinks. The owner is always super friendly and the service is fast

What a lovely place to dine in. A very calm and relaxing place. The owner was very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. The ambience was warm. I Felt a place where people can bond with food. I had the Mee rebus. The gravy was authentic and flavourful. All ingredients felt like freshly plucked from a farm.

Lovely Malaysian place with spacious seating. We shared a murtabak as an entree and also ordered a traditional nasi lemak and char kway teow. All very much to my taste and the teh tarik was one of the nicest that I've had in Perth. There's a 10% surcharge on weekends and public holidays (noted in the menu). Free parking in the car park behind the café, which can be accessed through a one-way lane (see last photo). I also really enjoyed the music - instrumental covers of classics! Will definitely return to sample some of the other dishes.

Great food, best roti canai super flakey! Lovely customer service! The satay, CKT and Thai boat noodles were all winners. We’ll be back regularly for sure!

Amazing experience! The service was warm and friendly, the interior was vibrant and aesthetically pleasing and the food was mouth watering, extremely delicious!

Warm welcome, as its name Santai very cosy and relaxing. Very delicious food authentic reminded of mum's cooking, serving portions was good, service was exceptional, highly recommended, will return for seconds, an awesome feed for a family of 5.
