Samson's Paddock reviews
68Very nice venue with a warm and cosy ambiance. Savory food was delicious with lots of options. The dessert menu was not very rich but that's ok xx
Great tastings and the steaks to die for.
Loved all the options, Thankyou for a great night last night. Def coming again.
One of the waiters here was incredibly rude and disrespectful. I had been here one month prior and ordered the beetroot salad, which was reasonably sized and very tasty. The second visit however, I was served the same dish, at the same price and it was half the size.
I said to the waiter I'd like to cancel this as it didn't meet my prior expectations. It was at the point of an extortionate price for a few slices of beetroot. I even had photos to show them what it looked like 1 month prior when I ordered it. I was at the point where I was about to walk out, pay for our 2 beers, and completely refuse to pay for the $200 worth of food that was already sitting in front of us. I know better places nearby to go, believe me.
My friend and I spent over 200 dollars here on our meal, and the waiter ruined our entire experience arguing over a minor bill item that he refused to remove, either out of good grace, or good customer service. Absolutely terrible service, very rarely to never, have I ever been treated with this sort of attitude from any restaurant, either cheap or expensive. This was the English male waiter, with his hair tied in a pony tale (Pictured original salad, not half sized salad I refused to pay for)
I stumbled upon Samson’s and immediately fell for the place. The atmosphere, menu and the great service and friendly staff. The food we ordered was fresh in regards to preparation and the recipes innovative. Their pairing of whiskeys with food is a treat and I will return to partake in them. Cheers. Great work!
I can not recommended the duck enough.crisp skin, melt in the mouth meat and the flavours, devine. This is definitely a place to visit for dinner when in town.
Outstanding place. Nice welcome from the guy with the English accent. Casual but quality. Food was amazing (recommend the riblets) and the service was very friendly especially from Megan. Highly recommended.
We had the perfect evening at this fantastic place with amazing food from the kitchen showing some serious cooking skills. Great flavors and techniques. Very well matched with the Whiskey which this place has in abundance. All quality stuff. We will definitely be back for more. Can't wait to pair up a new tasting platter of Scotch with some delicious food. Great concept! We'll be back!
Amazing food and friendly staff. We have never had anything but fabulous meals here, and always look forward to our next visit.
We had a few vege dishes and the sirloin tasting board. The vegetable dishes and dessert were excellent. Three of the meat were decent but the Wagyu left a lot to be desired. Wasn’t the best meat portion and tendon in the meat. Unfortuneately that ruined the meal a bit for us.
Very nice food, great service and enjoyable ambience. Extensive wine selection but the bottle we had wasn't that great and still quite expensive.
Little gem in Glyde Street.professional friendly service from start to finish and a fresh creative menu. Panko whiting was super! Thoroughly enjoyed thank you
Had a wonderful time at Samson's Paddock. The food was delicious, especially the sirloin platter. We had a wonderful time comparing the different textures, flavours and tenderness of each type of meat. It was cooked to perfection. Everything else was great as well the dishes were flavoursome and the ingredients were fresh. The staff were attentive and friendly, the food came out relatively quick and the place itself was relaxed yet refined.
A real fantastic find in Mosman Park, Perth. A simple menu but superb. The meat tasting board is an obvious choice
But do not neglect the rest, a must is the whiskey chocolate truffle before exploring there incredable rang of spirits
With an extensive whisky list, great selection of wines, and incredible menu this neighborhood restaurant should be a no brainier.
Chef Georgi and the team prepare delightfully rich and balanced food, with a focus on fresh. Feeling like a carnivore? Try the Steak tasting platter with veal, grain fed, grass fed, and wagyu beef!
Cost in winter with the wood fires, or chilling in the garden through the warmer months the team at Samson's Paddock are always welcoming.
I'm not really sure what Samson's Paddock is all about? I'm not sure they know either? Perhaps they do. & maybe the locals do, but the average walk-in is greeted with a Cafe / Restaurant / Bar.
I sat at a table for 90 minutes before anyone paid any attention to me (and only to give me a glass of water, which I appreciated). Sure I could have walked up to the bar and asked to see a menu or ordered a drink, but I was hoping for some service. At least I had a quiet environment to get some work done and not be bothered.
It's a nice place the staff just need a little more focus on what's going on.
This place was excellent. Was here for a function, food was fantastic, service was sensational and atmosphere was awesome. Highly recommend
Great place to go for a different and chilled experience.
I've been several times and always enjoy it. They have a half price happy hour. The beer is different to most places and I've tried 3 of the 5 available They were all really good. There is one beer (6%) called 'Red Nail' and it has a unique taste and I'm having it again on my next visit, in a couple of weeks time. My guess for the average age is around 40 which is great.
This is a very cool spot that seems kind of "hidden". Good location if you want to cover all basis for food/drinks/atmosphere. Highly recommend if you want to eat out for 2 or grab a groups of friends for wine and tapas. Went in winter and will be back in summer
Quaint little restaurant with a fine-casual air. Lovely atmosphere and open til late. Great for some late night cold-cuts and cheeses and an extensive whisky and cognac selection. Would come back any day.
This place was amazing, celebrated our 2 year anniversary and was astonished by the level of hospitality and food they had. I look forward to making another trip there again.
