Salvos Stores Morley reviews
29It seems like Salvos Morley has joined in the insanity. Prices are so high that I’m sure, people who are not well off, could not afford to buy anything. One vase I spotted was $700. I’m not joking. Plates in the bric a brac are priced higher than what they originally cost at KMart. It’s a shame because these op shops have forgotten their original mandate; to help the poor.
Price is extravagant, and staff are rude. Wake up guys you are helping people, and stop making massive profit on people donations.
Who is the person who decides on the price tag? That person must be so clueless. Have a look at Kmart or Ikea and see how the same brand and same type of items are cheaper over there than in this Salvos shop Morley. Those desk lamps, look old and as expensive as the Kmart brand new ones. The shocker was a low display timber cabinet of 1m20 high with a price tag of $400. Are you serious? Again, have a look at Ikea how the price of some better looking and higher display cabinets selling for lower than $300.
Second hand and old items given for free are being sold at those exorbitant prices? The management should have a good look at their pricing policy.
Prices have become a bit extravagant. E.g. 2nd hand towel $7. Yes, it is a charity, and as such it works both ways. Reduce yr prices so those on low income can afford to shop there.
I used to work here and loved interacting with the customers. Lately Ive had encounters with rude staff which was disappointing. I wont be back.
Gone are the days you get a bargain from these stores. Well this store anyway. I have been to a few Salvation Army stores and none of the price their items as high as this store. Most have a $3 scarf box. These were a min of $8+. Cheaper to go get one brand new at Kmart. Furniture was just as ridiculous being a tallboy $180+. Even kids clothes cheaper brand new at a store. Ridiculous.
My experience at The Salvos is a nice treat to a lady thank you for the outfits n household to kitchen stuff.n thank you to the beautiful ppl who donate and the staff
Good prices and a good range of clothing to choose from. Recently updated the store layout and it looks great
For a second hand gear Salvos is way over priced! $5 for one glass is soo expensive, they really need to re assess their prices.
If you are looking for a lucky treasure this is probably the last place to go in the area. There used to be a lot of really good things there, but lately there seems to be virtually nothing except so-so clothes and tacky bric-a-brac at inflated prices. I have often been told by the volunteers at the store, that there are some great things out the back, but for some reason I never seem to ever see them put out on the floor for sale. The volunteers are generally very nice people, but as for the quality of the actual items on sale, I wouldn't recommend going there. I won't be wasting my time.
Amazing shop for buying kids books.
10 for $5 is the price 2nd hand kids books should be.
It’s a shame that there is no consistency across all the shops. Some are $1, some are $2 each.
Loved the shop once upon a time, but my God I watched customers being ignored by staff and the "manager" should not have that title, sour woman needs to learn how to give good customer service or find a job that doesn't require her to interact with people.
Staff are nice dont know about the manager if its the same one as last year shes not really up to the job, good prices especiall in the jacket section.
Disappointed. Used to be one of my favourite op shops. Now its smaller, much less stock and the layout is confusing.
Huge range of goods, most at a very reasonable price. Parking can be difficult as it is a very popular store.
Nice store when you can find all kind of things like clothes shoes toys furniture books and it's good for the environment. You give articles a second life and you serve a good course.
Good money for old rope, these shops are becoming very greedy, I now support the smaller charity groups with my donations
Not the same anymore.big prices. Its secondhand people think they have lost touch with not for profit.its cheaper at Kmart for new.
Lots of good stuff. But the store needs to be bigger. Everything is cramped in especially the clothes racks
Wide range of close to choose.from.
The staff are very friendly and very helpful.
The place was very busy the time and I went there and it was a Saturday afternoon so yeah very good.
I would highly recommend going there if you need of clothes on a decent price tag.
