Saaj Indian Cuisine reviews
60Excellent food and great customer service. One of best Butter Chicken I have ever had and easily one of best Indian Restaurant in Perth
Since Saaj has opened we have dined here five times. The last time we dined with friends from Sydney. Always a little worried when you recommend somewhere and rave about the food. I am pleased to say Saaj did not disappoint. Great staff, great atmosphere and amazing food! Each time we have dined here the food has always been marvellous. Like to add we only order the vegetarian and fish options. Our friends ordered meat options and loved it too! My husband would eat here every night if he could. This is the best curry we have had in Australia (was over east for 14 years pre Perth).
Was looking for a place to have a beer and a briyani on a Saturday afternoon.
Most of the Indian restaurants here dont open for lunch. Lucky for me, found this gem of a place.
Ordered my favourite lamb briyani and a nice cold beer to go with. Later, got tempted to try the chicken lollipop as well.
Food was really good. Came in piping hot. Its family run restaurant and they were very polite and friendly. The lamb meat was really soft and succulent. Chicken lollipop was also good but just had a little more masala in it.
Great portions and decent pricing. Their menu card contains a plethora of indian dishes ranging from chaat to indo-Chinese fusion.
Would def try it out again!

Delicious, fast, authentic, reasonable price, very clean. Dine in, streetside or takeaway.
This place offers a lunch special (combination).
I had butter chicken and naan. Loved it.
Excellent food, great service and choice.
Good prices and deals for everyone.
Fabulous addition to Clarkson
Amazing experience with the food and service. My wife and I will be back again. Keep up the great work guys.
Utterly impressive. Some of the best food I've had in Perth, let alone my life. Again, utterly impressive from the people, service, atmosphere and food. This place deserves to be packed from start to finish with a line out the door. Briefly, their food in general has a richness and creaminess and level of flavors that will leave you wanting more and totally satisfied. Check this place out, and tell your friends.
Been to this restaurant from week 1 till now. At least once a week. So spoilt that they are local and whenever I'm tired we dine in here. My son loves their garlic naan and will only have that. Food is reasonable and very tasty. Can never convince my husband to eat in any Indian shop due to their reputation of reheating old curries, but rather convinced that Saaj cooks fresh daily. And the cleanliness is outstanding. Everytime you walk into the shop, you'll see the owner Abdul wiping something and that tells me how he handles food. I wish Saaj the best and to keep serving good food always with your lovely customer service! Btw we love his naans, chicken do pyaza (he makes it extra spicy for my son) and Indo-chinese dishes. I'm going to get my Briyani now!:)
Tried this recently and couldn't wait to go back, so we did! Service from the owners is so warm and friendly, and the FOOD! Everything is perfectly balanced and the chef clearly loves and understands every ingredient. The rice is fluffy and fragrant, and the naan would make the dreamiest, softest pillow if they could make one big enough. Only you'd wake up pillowless from munching on it contentedly in your sleep. This is husband's new happy eating out place and I'm not far behind.
Not big curry person but for me on point with what i got friendly service aswell price is good not too many place get curry and rice with nan and drink under 20$ in perth north.
Well after a long time had and outing for dinner and heard a lot about this place newly opened in Ocean Keys Shopping Center as true foodie this place keep up to it and both u r appetite.well as per my taste this should a place for food lover.quantity wise a dish is enough for 2 people.really loved the ambiance and the people working in it.from the entrance to the chief both quality and quantity wish u will feel treated like a king of the city. Thank you for making our evening so delightful and special Thanks to Mary the owner of this lovely food Joint.
Great food. Excellent service. Prices are cheaper than other Indian restaurants. Good location. Thanks
Friendly staff members, reasonable prices and beautiful interior. Loved it ️ I just didn't like the excessive food coloring. I know it is necessary for aesthetic purposes but too much of it could change the flavour. Overall I am glad I found this place.
First time here. I ordered a take away, took 40 mins to prepare when advised it would only be 20 mins so it wasn't a good start. But that was where the negatives ended. The Indo Chinese is amazing, ordered the Chilli chicken (spicy) and vegetable noodles. This reminded me of dishes in Goa, India. Will definitely be back.
What a coincidence! This is the same Saaj restaurant that moved here from New Lynn, Auckland, NZ. This used to be our regular takeaway after shopping at Countdown. We moved here 3 years ago and missed a proper Indian place just like some Brits do after moving from london. Glad you guys are here. Dont change anything for Aussie palate as they are well exposed to Indian spices. Just ate your lamb roganjosh-Yum.next up beef vindaloo.we shall be back and bring our friends who have been missing out on authentic Indian food.
The food was excellent.we ordered butter chicken, lamb rogan josh, sagwalla and a couple of nan breads. It is priced well and a good portion.keep up the good work! We will visit again.
Went here for a lunch date with my husband & we loved all the food. We were given a taster of most of the dishes & chose 2 veg ones (dhal & Bombay potatoes) & 2 meat (goat curry & lamb Rogan Josh). Along with the naan breads, everything was superb! Can't wait to go again tomorrow with my daughter:)
Very accommodating, even made a dish that wasn't available for us. Naan bread soft and tasty and very good value for money.
Cheap price yes. Service was excellent. Food though was quite bland and lacked flavour we had 4 different ones and all agreed. Nan bread very cake like taste and too hard. Sorry but there are far better Indian restaurants around.
Really lovely owners who provided great customer service, friendly attentive staff, good prices and delicious food. Love that they let us taste the curries prior to choosing our meals.
