Rottnest General Store

Usually have a decent experience at this establishment but visited the island during NY eve and was pretty disappointed really.

Prices as usual were ridiculous and staff acted rude and entitled while products were also often out of stock.

Its pretty disgusting that a business would blatantly rip you off and then provide awful customer service knowing that the buyer can’t do much about it.

The general store needs a competitor otherwise these behaviours will likely progress.

Love Rottnest general store, nice old fashioned service and love that they deliver shopping free of charge to where you are staying. Its also nice to see one of the same workers there year after year and he always greets us in the same friendly way.

They have a pretty decent selection available, I was able to find everything I needed in my many visits to the store over the last few weeks. The staff are super friendly and happy, they definitely come across as people who love their jobs, which is essential in retail!

Really awesome hot chips. They were a bit slow with the drinks though and the chips were finished before the drinks came.

Very good General Store all necessities also tourist souvenirs a little expensive but you would have to expect that on the Island.

The store is located very close to the jetty. It sticks everything from your daily grocery items to liquor. Souvenirs are sold here at quite reasonable prices given their location. Staff are nice.

They still have many of my favourite childhood lollies. Also a range of sour beers which are my current favourite vice. Can't complain.

Everything you could need for your stay on Rottnest. The online ordering is straight forward and delivery to your villa means the food can be in place before you arrive! Very convenient!

For a small regional store, Rottnest General Store always seem to have everything you need, that you forgot to bring, for your trip to Rottnest Island. The people in the store are all friendly, and used to dealing with "Karens" there on holidays - while still able to put on a smile.

Great range of goods. Happy to report that the bottle shop has a decent selection of craft beer!

Great general store full of products! Place was clean and staff were good. Only downfall would be price but it is the only general store on the island so it is understandable.

This place is hell on earth.they charge you more than the product is advertised as.watch out for the prices.

This place is always a must go to for visitors but especially overnight starters. The general store has fresh food, grocery items, ice creams, equipment for snorkeling so on plus alcohol & more

Well stocked general store, friendly service, staff always have a smile, and why wouldn't you working at Rotto. Expect to pay a bit more for getting stock to Rotto, once you're over that and enjoying the relaxed vibe, you don't care.

Bit pricier, but no unreasonable considering its an island tourist spot.
I got sun screen, and hats. Water is cheaper at the Bakery, or, there is a water spot in the park near the recycling fish

Pretty good shop for the location and has come along way from when I use to line up for the chicken rolls 40 odd years ago (sigh). I must comment on one of the female staff at the checkout was always very happy and polite every day we saw her (2020 week just before Australia day).
One star off because of the alcohol prices.

Literally has everything you would need. Groceries, alcohol, medicine, souvenirs, fishing gear, snorkeling sets, outdoor needs etc.

They provide more or less the same stock as a conventional supermarket albeit a bit more expensive.

Lots of selections for making your holiday more enjoyable. Little expensive but reasonable. Good people and nice service.

What l love about Rottnest general store is the incredibly friendly and polite attitude of the manager and staff. I have been coming here for years and its always the same. It can be difficult in the tourism industry when dealing with endless streams of tourists and its easy to become jaded and unhelpful but these people don't change. Great store, great prices and great service.
