Rottnest General Store reviews
52If you come to this liquid store, be sure to take your PASSPORT with you, because the damn lawyer behind the counter may not be satisfied with your ID or a copy of your passport.
Very helpful staff, great selection of goods. Unfortunately the free wifi only works whilst in the store, near the till
Stand out customer service, with happy helpful staff.
The delivery service they provide is efficient and convenient. They even let me add a birthday cake I ordered from the bakery to my delivery. Thanks guys for getting it there safe and sound.
This is a well stocked store on Rottnest Island. They had a great range of souvenirs at reasonable prices.
My wife and I visited the store on the 15th February and purchased quite a lot of memorabilia. When we arrived back to Fremantle I realised we had been accidently over charged after checking the receipt. I rang Glenn and he asked me to send him a copy of the receipt. The young girl couldn't remember the transaction as it was very busy at the time. Glenn however, without hesitation, rang me and said he would gladly refund the overcharged amount. Thankyou Glenn and all of your friendly staff. We will certainly be recommending your store to all of our friends.

They've got everything, considering its a small island and prices were reasonable to.
Really impressive customer service from their friendly staff, Jennifer!
In 2021, due to the lockdown in Melbourne, I couldn’t make it to the island myself, and Jennifer kindly organised the shipping of quokka plush toys to my place (with a surprising postcard)!
In addition, recently, I visited Rotto and this store to buy some more quokka plush toys. I wrote them another email to ask for a replacement since one of the items is a bit broken. Surprisingly, it was Jennifer getting back to my email again! And she was super kind and offered a shipment of the replaced item to Melbourne for me.
Thanks to Jennifer’s service, I’m sure I will visit the island and this store again in the near future.
Great service. Friendly helpful staff. Yes maybe tad dearer but no more than any other holiday destination store. Love it keep up the great work Pete and staff.
Great customer service from Ben who asks all of his customers what their favourite part of the day was. Appreciate it very nice touch!
Prices of the items are rather close to those on the mainland. Great selection of items and staff were super friendly.
Perfect staples for day on the island. Shoutout to the man serving us who gave us tips on the best spot to swim
They should call it Rottnest mega market. The ultimate in holiday supplies. Lots of thought has gone into what to sell. The guy at the counter was a really fun friendly upbeat guy, great attitude. The food we bought was of a very high quality.
After finishing riding your hired pushbike around most of the island how do you recover? Go to the general store and bottle shop (combined). Get your litre bottle of coconut juice a can of beer then get a 6 inch Subway. Sit and relax on your joice of comfort before hopping your on Sealink (or other) ferry back to Freo (Fremantle) or Perth. My joice? Train ride from Perth to Freo, Rottnest then back.
Great store, product variety, friendly staff.everything you need whilst at Rotto.
Some items are priced accordingly for the location and logistics, others not so and quite expensive, ….
Overall reasonable and will return and easy to recommend
The facade and the staff are worth a visit. Semi heritage building with lots of goodies to buy, from Rottnest Island souvenirs to decadent chocolates that I wish my local woollies store would stock. I do wish they would cater more to the need of a small size to tide you over until you get home. I don't need a soap pump that would last for 5 weeks when I am going home in 3 days. A must to visit tho!
Friendly people, store was packed with goodies, no need to bring anything. From gourmet cheese to natural confectionery lollies, so much to choose from ️?
The old man in the liquor store was extremely rude and I happened to catch him having having a quick look at my eighteen year old daughter in her bathing suit, absolutely appalling. I will not be returning to this store anytime soon.
Amazing customer service. Gina was fantastic on the phone. She assisted me on the phone with direction and list of products in stock. Very friendly staff and high standard customer service within the store. You guys made our Rottonest Island trip more delightful. Thank you:)
No need to pack food or utensils it has it all here.
Bottled Soft drinks overpriced, as is most other items there took, but it has almost everything here you need.
The store with everything won't miss much in here, prices are on the higher side but this is to be expected considering where it is etc.
Friendly staff and quick checkouts.
