Rosso's Italian Restaurant reviews
48The pasta I ordered was meant to be vegetarian with mushrooms and it had small pieces of chicken all through it and a tiny amount of mushroom. The garlic bread was awful, just buttered, dry, stale toast with no garlic. Terrible food at a high price.
Tonight was my first time here and OMG! My Fettuccini Pommodore was exactly what I wanted, I was so full afterwards but wanted more- that's how much I enjoyed it. My son said his kids spaghetti bolognese was tasty which is rare as he's a fussy eater and only orders nuggets and chips everywhere we go My friend who took me there had the Penne Alla Vodka which is her favourite dish there and that's what she orders everytime The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming and the staff were very friendly, I felt like I could've sat there for hours. Definitely coming back for more
First time @Rosso. Very friendly staff. Small restaurant but warm. Prices are reasonable, not cheap nor expensive. Some portions are small.like the calamari. It is well worth a try. Main thing is, it is yummy!
Disappointing. I love Italian food but I've never had a runny sauce all over the lasagna thats bright orange, plenty layers of pasta with bearly any meat, not tasty at all. Tasteless garlic bread and carbonara was terrible. I hate to write a bad review. But sorry just had to.
To add reply to response from mangement. I had pickup takeaway, so didnt realise until I got home to eat it, so unable to advise staff at the time.
Hidden gem and so glad we found this place! Came here on a Tuesday night and everything was delicious and flavoursome! Flavour was spot on! Love supporting small businesses like this and will definitely be back
Owner is lovely. Went for Valentine’s Day and he went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Food came out quickly and was so delicious. Had no room for dessert
Second time ordering pizzas. First time they never put the order through to the kitchen, second time, order. Paid. Staff asked me to wait & they’ll bring them to you.waited nearly 48 mins. Pizzas left on the counter no one took any notice while staff hang out behind the bar. Support your local businesses. Not anymore.
Been living in Thornlie nearly 3 years now and didn’t even know about this amazing place. Best tasting Spaghetti Bolognaise iv ever had and my gf had the Barramundi and Calamari and I just wanted to eat all hers too lol Yum Yum definitely going back 10/10 and the service was really good too.
First time trying this restaurant for takeaway.
My partner had the chicken parmigiana and was good.
Ravioli La Pana was tasteless and yuck and it went in the bin.
Thought we’d also treat ourselves to a BAKED vanilla cheesecake but it’s a slice of store bought Sara Lee French vanilla cheesecake!
Could have bought a whole cheesecake for that price! Not authentic, false advertising and a rip off
Was very much looking forward to a home style suburban dining experience that family had raved about.
Sadly it was worse than awful.
Completely lacking service basics from the very start.
Portion size of mains was great and was hoping this would make up for the lack of service. The dishes were very underwhelming, an over priced surf and turf with boiled prawns… $42.50?
I would have loved to give my feedback to the waitstaff at the time but not one of the 3 visited our table at any stage to check in. Even when delivering dishes, complete disinterest and not a single question asked.
Empty entree dishes were pushed into the middle of the table when mains were served and remained for the entire sitting, we sat with empty main plates for over half an hour, eventually we had to request the bill and then dessert was offered. A water top up was offered to us as we were getting up to leave.
Working in hospitality myself, I’m always reluctant to leave reviews for restaurants knowing how difficult it can be however it wasn’t busy -
42 guests / 9 tables / 3 waitstaff should have been a walk in the park.
I read all the low ratings so was very dubious about visiting this place. Another member of our party ignorantly chose it so I went along begrudgingly with very low expectations. I ordered a parmigiana thinking ‘how bad can one be? ’ Amazingly, the answer is ‘Quite’. It somehow didn’t even come close to being tasty. Same can be said about the osso bucco which my partner ordered. The execution of all our tables dishes were well below average. For that price point you’d at least want an semi-enjoyable meal. We won’t be back
Food was delicious. Canningvale’s hidden gem. We’ve had Pizza, pasta and cocktails.
We enjoyed the pizza and the delicious pasta, was served hot. If you want good food and a nice atmosphere you must definitely try this place.
The customer service was great and food came really quick.fantastically amazing. Two thumbs up
I ordered the beef cheeks catchetori pasta. What I received wasn't even on the menu what I can describe as pepperoni slices instead of beef cheeks as myself been a chef for 25yrs utterly disgusted an insult to my profession. Cannot recommend this to anyone.
DONT ORDER FROM HERE Ordered via Uber Eats, incredibly disappointed given the price point. Pizza was like the $6 Ristorante frozen pizza from Coles. Carbonara was bland. The Tiramisu was watery and the chocolate pudding was actually chocolate cake and again, it was not good. Only saving grace was the Jalepeno bread.
90 bux not well spent. If youre looking for great italian food, avoid this joint and head to Casa Del Amici.same price and WAY tastier. ️Uber Eats drivers do not impact the taste. Your food was warm but it was gross. Ease up on the excuses and get a new chef. ️
Were to start the food was amazing, taste quality and portions the place was full and atmosphere was great being cold outside and so comfortable inside. And the service those ladies offered was fantastic they were prompt and quick to take orders, they offered when to start mains from entrees instead of all out nearly at once.
Cant recommends this place enough
The best Italian food I've had, outside of Italy. Excellent service as well. It's a shame you can only give a place 5 stars, because it deserves at least 6. Will be back very soon.:)
Food absolutely perfect. Typical Italian perfection. We will be back but will check first if your white wine is cold and that in accordance with advertising within the restaurant, that you have Lemoncello (not sure of spelling).
your yothat you do have Lemoncello
As a frequent customer over the past year and a half, driving all the way from Fremantle to pick up, the past two experiences have been beyond a disaster and outright disgusting.
The most recent of which; my Wife ordered a gnocci (the same meal she orders every time) however the meal was caked in parmesan cheese in which she gets sick from.
Upon advising the manager, we were fought and argued with regarding that the dish had always served this way.
I have never had a staff member, never yet the manager; have 0 customer service and down right argue with the customer over a dish they have always ordered and loved.
As we returned, we were not talked to, we were handed the replacement (without cheese) and the manager reached out to take back the other dish to bin.
Truly disappointed with how things were handled.
Took the family in for my sons birthday the other day, all meals were so lovely and tasty. The staff were friendly and very attentive. We felt very welcome. Will definitely be back. Thank you
Delicious food made with love. Nom nom nom nom nom. Generous servings, great friendly service.
A meal I will brag about to friends and family. Can't wait to come back ️
