Riverview Tourist Park

Nice location, friendly staff and clean rooms and facilities. Overall a very pleasant stay.

After having to change our travel plans, we managed to book Riverview Tourist Park at the last minute. Even though the pictures look simple and unassuming, the place itself was super comfortable, ample with space and covers all the basics really well. You could shop at Woolies and make a meal for the missus here. We arrived late but the staff was kind enough to wait for us to give us our keys.

The location is fantastic as it is walking distance to the city centre, but it is also smack bang next to the river and heaps of really pretty trails. Go for a walk in the morning here before you get your day going. You're likely to meet some of the wildlife here. On our first night we ran into a couple of possums that said peeked their heads from the tree in front of our door. I'd definitely come back here if I stay longer next time in Margaret River.

Clean, well equipped, nice area, friendly people. Walking distance from the town centre and walking trails to other areas.

We had a very relaxing stay! We stayed for five nights and the park was a fantastic base for our time exploring the South West. The staff were lovely and incredibly helpful with sorting out our late arrival, and our chalet was super clean, well-equipped, and really warm! We did not want to leave We only left today and are already recommending this park to people! Thank you for a fantastic holiday

Very nice clean and tidy tourist park on banks of Margaret River, and our studio unit is great and convenient.

The Riverview tourist park was wonderful! Steph the manager was lovely and extremely helpful in every aspect. The walking tracks in the immediate vicinity were amazing. The property was immaculate and I will return here when I come back to WA. I would recommend this park highly!

Better bring your own toilet paper if you are staying here because. "Replacement of towels and toilet paper are available from reception but it will attract extra costs. " it says on a policy stuck on the fridge door.

A half roll of toilet paper (not even a full roll) was provided to us and no extra rolls available as a normal accommodation would offer. I find the towel replacement policy reasonable, but toilet paper? No even a box of tissues was provided. I've never encountered this during all my trips around OZ.

Stayed here one night 38 a night small park bore water fair way from town you couldn't walk it.

Tiny room, bare minimum of everything. No tissues or paper towel. After the allotted 2 rolls of toilet paper we would be charged.
No spare towels.
I could touch both lounge walls at the same time it was so small.
But clean, so that's good.

Clean 2 bedroom cabin. Importantly no mold smells. The walls are really thin, so you can easily hear movement and noises but the size is decent. The beds aren't bad. It's not saggy or super hard. Sheets are clean and we have new towels.
Hot water shower and the fan is a little noisy.
We had ants in the kitchen but at least not in the bedrooms. Kitchen has a microwave and medium/large fridge. 2 stove top gas burner. No oven.
Small wall mounted TV, 3 seater couch and 4 seat dinner. It's an easy to clean place.

1 carpark available per cabin. If you have someone else park in your spot. There aren't any spare car spaces. It's very aggravating.

Not a large group caravan park but just right for a more intimate stay. A communal camp kitchen, a covered table and bench area near the river access.

Popular for kayaks or hikes or mountain biking with a fantastic track close to the river.
Location, location, location. The main street is a few minutes away.

The price is reasonable for each type of cabin.
With studio, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom cabins. We also saw caravan parking area too.

OK that was a long description of the place. There are positives and negatives about this place and some quirky things. A no frills holiday park with sloping tiny roads. Will stay again.

After a bit of a rough start with someone leaving their car engine running for over an hour on arrival, and the shock of the size of the sites, this place really grew on me. Don’t be put off by the size of the sites, you need to look at what else this place gives including the great staff.
Well situated on the river for swimming and walking distance to town either along the river or the road. Easy access to bike trails or just put your kayak or SUP in the river.
All facilities were well looked after. There was a power issue in the toilet block late one evening but this could happen anywhere and what amazed me was one text to the after hours number and they had someone come put to resolve it within the hour.
We will be returning

Booked the 2 brm cabin on the river for 2 nights in November. Could not have chosen better. Spotlessly clean, great view, beautiful walks. Comes with complimentary friendly ducks and ringneck parrots. Staff lovely and grounds immaculate. Highly recommended.

What a welcoing and friendly introduction to Riverview Tourist Park! Clean and accesible amenities, well kept and a very good house-jkeeping team.
Ellen makes the check-in very easy, is friendly and will help out where possible. Both Ellen & Mick who manage the site are a vault of knowledge about the area too. The site itself is right on the river, and has a lovely grassed area, BBQ and shaded seating, with frienldy ducks.
It has kyaks for hire and also is very quiet and serence with local bush-walks just seconds away. I found it a safe site with at 10pm 'Quiet Time'.
The site is a 7 minute cycle into the main street of Margret River (I timed it!) and a short drive to the local beaches.
I would highly reccomend Riverview Tourist Park if you are in Margaret River!

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again. It was a comfortable and pleasant stay.

People should not feed human food to the local wildlife, including birds, it makes them very sick

The only good thing about this park was its location. It must be under new management as the reviews don't match the experience. We had an en suite caravan site and the shower was cold after 10 seconds running. There wasn't much toilet paper so we asked for another roll and they wanted to charge us $2 for another 1 ply roll. There was an over zealous maintenance man who asked me to move my car to make more space whilst taking up the majority of the spare car parks with his 25 foot caravan making it hard to back the van in. He was constantly on at the kids playing in the park by the river for just playing, not doing anything wrong. Wouldn't stay again.

Actually a nice campground, but at the last morning the security man was talking very rudely to me and my girlfriend. It was 10: 06 am we were just about to leave (check out time 10am) and he started threatening us with a 20$ fine because we were too late for check out.

Great place to stop in for a over nighter or longer. The cabins are cosy and comfortable.
This place is situated along the river with BBQ facilities and a big Gazebo with 4 picnic tables. If you walk along the banks of the river it will lead you to a bridge where you can cross the rapids to continue on your walk.
The office ladies are lovely and very welcoming.

Nice and quiet, obviously set-up for more of your tourists without a caravan, but really well kept if a little dated facilities. Nice river side walk with rapids etc.
