I have to say that our overall experience with these guys was excellent. From the initial booking, to the combination throughout.the people we actually dealt with in Kununurra were really lovely, helpful and nice to deal with.

The car itself was brilliant, perfectly kitted out for a legit off road adventure in the roughest of environments. We had the family set up with everything included, tents on the roof etc.which will not be for everyone as it does mean you cannot unhitch a trailer or something like that once you get to the campsite and then have the freedom to roam without having to pickup every time you leave - but beyond that it wa absolutely 5 stars.

We have just finished our Kimberley experience and I highly recommend RedSands Campers. From the communication from the admin/sales staff to the staff at the depots everything went seamlessly. The vehicle was extremely well set up and comfortable. Everything you need for a camping trip was included. Our Toyota Hilux was named 'Baldy' and it hummed along on the highways and took the battering from the Gibb River Road. You get a solid instruction on pick up and by the end of our trip we were experts at set up and pack down. We were time poor hence the need to hire a vehicle and I think these guys offer excellent value. I would not hesitate to use them again and have recommended them to our friends and family.

Right at home in our Red Sands Camper on a Gibb River Road adventure. Everything we needed to be comfortable and safe was included and we had no issues at all even on the bumpiest of roads. Sleeping in the cosy rooftop tent under the stars in remote, peaceful places by gorges and waterfalls was a highlight!

We have just finished 3 weeks on the road with our RedSands Camper “Schuncky”.

Such a fabulous vehicle to compliment the Kimberley region. We drove the Gibb River Road and while everyone else was complaining about the road we were very happy with how Schuncky handled it. Not even a single puncture! The roof top tents are so comfy and easy to set up and pack away. By the end our 7 and 11 year old children only needed help with one step of the set up of their tent.
The vehicles have everything in them that you need and nothing you don’t.

I was concerned there wouldn’t be enough space for our family of 4 with all our luggage and food, but there was ample. We had so many questions from other travellers who were very impressed by our set up. Definitely the best set up of any hire vehicle we saw!

The team… what can I say, everyone we spoke to was amazing, really friendly and very knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble, even when we needed to make changes on the road due to Covid.
So thank you, Adam, Lucy, Louise, Ashton, Wayne and everyone else that makes RedSands Campers the fantastic company it is.

My recent trip around Kununurra and the East Kimberley in ‘Baldy’ the Redsands camper was one of the best trips I’ve done in a long time.

I’m so glad Redsands have opened a depot in Kununurra giving travellers to the area an opportunity to see places like Purnululu National Park (Bungle Bungles), Gibb River Road and El Questro.

It’s obvious how much time and effort went in to create a camper which can be setup efficiently and supplied with all the essentials without going over the top. Well done.

The whole experience from making the reservation, online pre-check in, Wayne’s demonstration and return process in Kununurra was all awesome. Thank you!

I’m already thinking about my next hire with Redsands and can highly recommend them to anyone considering a 4WD camping trip.

Simply the best Car & Camper hire for the Kimberley. Adam really knows his stuff, can make sure you see the best of the Kimberley.

Great 4x4, great team, great fun. They took time to show us the car with all the equipment. Everything was in mint condition and working problem-free. The support with our flat tire also was smooth and uncomplicated. A big thanks to the whole team:)

We had 12 days to drive Scotty from Broome to Darwin along the Gibb River Road. Once we hit the Gibb River Road the hilux handled the corregated roads very easily. The vehicle is equipped with everything you need and more. The bed is very comfy and easy to put up and close and so much room in the vehicle for all your supplies. Both depots for pick up and drop off are very helpful and lovely to deal with. Thanks Adam for all your help and for the opportunity to see our beautiful Kimberley. Susan and Alan

We don't normally take the time to write reviews but the experience that we have just had with Red Sands Campers needs to be acknowledged.

My partner and I had the opportunity to take a small break from our business here in Melbourne and decided that we would love to explore the coast of WA. After much research on 4wd companies we picked Red Sands and can honestly say that there is nothing that could have been done better. Every interaction with Adam and the company was positive, right from him explaining why we should pick his company- they focus on a 'premium service'- to their motto 'buy cheap buy twice' was truly reflected in what we received- premium equipment, very high quality Hilux, and the envy of all other campers with an imported annex from South Africa that took all of 30 seconds to set up, to the James Baroud pop up tent on the roof.

A quality vehicle, "Owie", who gave us the freedom to explore WA's pristine beaches away from the crowds (even if it was our first time 4wd'ing over soft sand dunes), the ability to set up and pack up in 15 minutes, and every tool and product to ensure that we had a fantastic camping experience. The comfortable rooftop tent gave us the ability to enjoy views of the ocean from campsites - there is nothing like drinking your morning coffee while gazing over the ocean - and protection from the wind when all other vehicles struggled with that WA "doctor" blowing in from the west.

Owie truly gave us the mental relaxing break we needed. As a managing director I am always weary on hearing pitches from companies but hand on heart, everything Adam said, he delivered and we would not hesitate in recommending his services to anyone who wants an adventure filled holiday. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to explore more of WA but we will be back to drive young Owie again (never thought it was possible to get emotionally attached to a car.)
