Don't recommend! Very slow service they said it will be done in 2 days, but it takes a week to get it done
and price doesn't makes any sense - too pricey!

Most incompetent manager ive ever had to deal with, mistake after mistake and is unable to accept any part of it nor help get to the solution. Reported to RAC head office.

Avoid with all possibility.

We had our car towed in after it had suddenly stopped starting one morning. We had originally thought it was the battery and replaced that ourselves, but the car still wasn’t starting. Mario at RAC looked over the car and diagnosed it as an immobilizer malfunction and said only a Ford dealer could fix it. We’d done a bit of our own research, and specifically asked him if he’d checked the fuses because that’s been an issue with our model in the past, especially after having a flat battery - he lied to our faces and said he had. So our car sat in the lot for 3 days over the long weekend waiting to go to Ford. We got a call from Ford after they’d taken a look - in 10 mins they’d found the blown fuse, replaced it, and the car had started up fine.

Had my car towed there after stalling on the highway. Was quoted over $1300 for a new fuel pump, gaskets and a fuel sender. I then got a second opinion at my local mechanic, who called me to say my car had simply ran out of fuel. He charged me $30 for some diesel, told me to get a new earth cable (20 bucks from local auto store) to fix the unreliable fuel gauge, and sent me on my way. Car has been running perfectly ever since, and thanks to them I have $1300 to use on things that actually need to be bought. If you look at the previous reviews for this place it is clear they have a very unreliable reputation, with a history of mistakes, bad service, miscommunication and lack of care. Don't take your car here, especially if you are not mechanically minded. The discount from RAC is not worth the risk of being lied to, misinformed and misled.

Unrealiable dishonest and absolutely incompetent people at this RAC centre.

My car was towed in on Father's day 05/09/2021 and is in a worse unrepaired state right now.delvered 5 complaints to RAC and still no reply.
Car was stripped without my consent or knowledge and expect me to pay damages done by their incompetency.

My Car is a DIESEL ENGINE vehicle.they poured wrong fuel (PETROL) into diesel fuel tank and blame others for their faults.

They striped the car without my authority and knowledge, called me up and told me they found injectors damaged and blame wear and tear whereas it was faulted by petrol damage caused by them

I believe the car has petrol contamination throughout the DPF and exhaust system and possibly engine damage.possibly a write off after they have tooled though it.
I'm not the first to have wrong fuel poured into the fuel system and won't be the last one.

OWN UP FOR YOUR STUFF UPS

Avoid this place.could cost you thousands more and weeks of car rental.

Lazy workmanship at a premium price. Replaced the alternator and left the turbo hose loosely attached afterwards (popped off within a couple of days).

Earlier this year I brought my car in for an annual service and besides from losing my booking even though I had an email confirmation, the icing on the cake is the quote I received to replace the rear break drums for over $800. Decided to get a second opinion from the car manufacturer who gave me a much lower quote and then after checking my car informed me my car is absolutely fine and does not require any repairs. Never trusting RAC ever again.

Worst experience EVER.
WASTE of money, time and energy.
The garage quote the damage 750$ meanwhile other garage only 300$. Fortunately we checked on internet and called other car services.
So as the RAC member it's how the treat me! It's not respectful at all.
Then we had to move our car to an other garage after fighting with the call center that gave us 10km free to move our car, we had to pay 80$.
80$ WASTED and 2 days of calling and researching.
I hope the RAC will contact me to refund me, because it's really an unacceptable situation and I am willing to spread the words to everyone.

My car broke down and I got the RAC down to see what was wrong with it. They suggested I get a tow to the RAC mechanics to see what was wrong, they came back with a problem and it cost 977 to fix. Fair enough. But when I got the car back there seemed to something still wrong with the vehicle as it lacked power when accelerating. There was also what sounded like a noise being generated from when I accelerated. I though this would come to the attention of mechanics when fixing a car because they’re the professionals. Yet they didn’t fix it for some reason as the car was in for all problems to be fixed.

Also when picking the car up, attitude from the woman was unnecessary. Go get some customer service training and a sense of professionalism.

Terrible, take your car somewhere else as you will only get robbed here.
I had to organise to get the part repaired myself and basically pay to train a mechanic to remove and refit it.
Happily told I get a member discount, doesn't mean a lot when you've just been shafted!

Took my car in for air conditioner regas - very disappointed. I was contacted shortly after taking it in, and was told there was noise coming from the air con unit and the bearings may be going. I was told they could replace the unit for $1400 or regas it (as is) but couldn't guarantee how long it would last (six weeks - 6 months). There was no conversation at all about it not working at all. I was under the impression it would work when regased (all be it maybe for a limited time). When I picked up I was told that the temperature of the car was down to 12 degrees. I drove the car home, it air con air was so hot. It was more like 25 degrees. The regas had made no difference what so ever. I was charged regas for no improvement at all.

I feel frustrated that I was lead to believe it would work, and that it had made a different to the air temp.annoyed.

Worst experience. Picked up my car after a service and it was smoking from the bonet on the way home. Couldnt drive back to the workshop as it was past 5pm. Managed to get home. Next morning couldnt leave my driveway as the car had no coolant in it.aparently the colling system was checked during the service? Yeah right!
Also not the first time my car has broken down within a day or so of a service here. Very dissapointed and upset about the amount of time I have spent going back and forth from this workshop. Not coming again!

I inquired about a quote for a basic logbook service at this service centre. They quoted me over $800 to change my oil, wipers and spark plugs. Excessively expensive. I would look elsewhere!

Very bad experience with this service centre. I left my car on friday for the service and they assured me to deliver the car same day. However, In the evening they called me and informed they can't deliver the car because they don't have a parts that got broken during the service. When I asked for the spare car, they told me they don't have any. My entire weekend plan got screwed because of these guys.

Two days to fit new starter motor.
Car has done less than 50,000 kms.
Offered spurious excuses several times as to why car not ready.
$800 for starter motor, not Honda, cheaper version.

Went there for major service and requested a couple of items be looked at (one being the retractable roof). Nothing was addressed or mentioned to me regarding it in the recommendations after paying for the service.
Had to go back after reading in the invoice and was told they don't touch retractable roofs in cars (would have been handy if this was told before the major service as I could have gone elsewhere).
I will not be going there again.

I went with RAC as I was able to use the members discount, but the service was pretty poor. They fitted my tires but their machinery was down and so I couldn't get an alignment. I was quoted 2 hours, they rang after 3hrs to tell me they might not be able to do my alignment, and then when I didn't hear from them again I went to pick up my car to be told they couldn't do the alignment after all (having had the car now for 5 hours). Not their fault of course, these things happen, but I wasn't called to confirm it wasn't happening and that I could collect, and I wasn't given much of a sollution regarding an alignment as they were closed the next day (but I did get quite a bit of attitude from the woman on reception). I was able to drop the car off at Kmart and they fit me in that afternoon and service was amazing. I'll be using Kmart next time, discount or not.

Destroyed my rear brake rotors and claimed that they were too thin to machine, likely for me independent mechanic measured it prior to RAC service. In result tried to sell me new rotors instead of admitting their fault and at the same time offered me rotors $120 more expensive than nearest auto store. I obviously refused to accept such a “generous” deal. So, instead of changing brakes and machine rotors, I am facing more expensive job which I am going to do elsewhere. BEWARE of machined rotors by RAC

The RAC charged me extra on my service to find the fault on my heater/ac and gave me the wrong information. They said it needed a new motor for the fan wich would cost me $430, - (it’s only 4 screws and in store it cost $120, -) so checked it out myself and that was not the problem. The problem seems to be electrical or with the switch. Very onprofessional, will not go here again.

I can't thank Josh enough- he helped organise a solution and contacted a third party which saved me a lot of hassle. Thank you so much for going above and beyond! He didn't get anything in return for it which makes the service and effort all the more extraordinary:)
