Prego restaurant

My husband and I shared the appetizer which was bruschetta. They were tiny pieces of bread. One with hummus and a sliver of roasted capsicum and one with a white anchovy. Very disappointing. My husband had the fish and it was the smallest piece of fish with a small potato and practically no veg. The gnocchi with meatballs was weird. The others enjoyed their seafood.

A quick note to thank you so very much for the wonderful birthday dinner held at your restaurant on Friday evening.
The food and service (special thank you to the lovely Michelle) was exceptional, and no request, either before the evening or during the night, was too much trouble.
All the guests have since commented on what a wonderful evening it was, and all really enjoyed the delicious food and there was much swapping and tasting going on around the table.
My mum couldn't have asked for a better way or place to celebrate turning 80 years young!

Fantastic dinner. Duck, pasta, gnocchi meatballs were absolutely beautiful. Best meal we've had all year. Great staff and service.

They didn't have our reservation booked, even though we had email booking and confirmation the day prior.

Shortly after arriving they allowed the table next to us to squeeze 8 people onto the table which was designed for 4 people. Which meant they were bumping our table and basically sitting ontop of us while we were trying to eat.

When we mentioned it to staff, the owner shugged and told us it was busy. Not really acceptable when we were paying these prices for what was supposed to be a special occasion. Needless to say, we didn't stick around and order anything else!

The food was fairly nice but it wasn't the dinining experience we expected, would not recommend.

Freshly made italian & Mediterranean dishes from quality produce, amazing spread of products.catered for all different palates as every dishes was just wow. The duck is a must try on the menu.
The restaurant is mind-blowing. Very well run restaurant under the management of Zhamille Sur.
Great wine lists, fabulous dinner and wonderful time. I can't wait to go back again!

Last night was the third time I have dined at Prego. Each time has been wonderful! The service is fantastic - attentive but never intrusive. And the food is exceptional - I love that the owners/chef have obviously listened to so many customers agonise over whether to choose the duck or the lamb that they now let you have a half portion of each on the same plate And both dishes are scrumptious! Prego is a fabulous place to celebrate a special occasion, or just to spoil yourself with an excellent meal as my friend and I did. We will be back soon!

Well I’ve been to Prego several times and let me say I’ve decided they deserve my loyal review. The chef is extremely friendly and satisfy our request that I can’t say enough. Once we commented that there was not enough garlic chips & rockets for the beef carpaccio and he said: Just ask and we can give you more! He is willing to take feedback and make sure we always enjoy our Prego experience. Now as for the food, wow! The duck never fails to surprise us with the high quality and consistent each and every time we dine there. The grilled prawns (entree) were outstanding and it has that char taste with their own dressing style which made it very balanced. We always recommend to our friends and like to bring our friends there for the fantastic food. And the service was always very pleasant. We hope they continue to keep up the good work.

This place came highly recommended, however the food was fairly bland, the wine pretty average and the service quite poor.

We only had an hour an a half to spend at the restaurant (due to baby sitter constraints), so contrary to my usual protocol, I held my hand up to attract the attention of the obviously wait staff who had forgotten about us for about 15 minutes post menu distribution. A gentleman in an apron who happened to be glancing over the dining area (possibly the owner), proceeded to come over, and remark on how he normally doesn't take orders, show his disdain for the 65 dollar bottle of Sangiovese we were buying, and remark on how odd it was we wernt ordering starters and going straight to mains. I asked him for a recommendation on one of the two fish dishes available and he treated it as if I had asked him for a kidney.

Amazing food! Fantastic ambiance and great service. All food was cooked into perfection especially the duo of lamb and duck. The concept and uniqueness of each dish in their menu is beyond extraordinary. Thanks Prego! We really enjoyed our dinner.

Had a fantastic family lunch here. It was a special event and was made extra special by being at Prego. It's a classy place inside, amazingly attentive service and most importantly the food was cooked to perfection. I had a medium cooked fillet steak and it was excellent. The roast potatoes were very good as was the accompanying sauce. It's not a particularly cheap place to eat but definately worth it for a special occasion. Everyone in our group really enjoyed their meals Can't wait to return.

I went to Prego, fascinated by friends advice on the outstanding quality of the food. Well, what I found is not only the food quality is superb, but the whole dine experience was sublime! Excellent service, refined atmosphere and extremely competent and polite staff made it a night to remember! Probably the best restaurant in Perth.

My partner and I have been going to Prego for a few years now. Always have professional, friendly service. We normally go during the week on a Wednesday or Thursday and just can’t go past the degustation menu. Food is presented beautifully, each dish tastes amazing and it’s on point every time, even better you are not rushed out of the restaurant nor are you left feeling hungry.
Would highly recommend Prego Restaurant and the degustation menu if you like variety in your meal.

A one hat wonder

We had our Prego experience last night and it bowled us over. The ambiance, staff attention to detail and the menu were all truely remarkable. Each dish was a pleasure and the extra mile was evident on every level. Congratulations Olga, Chef Joseph and all your team on a truely wonderful experience. It is so rare to find this level of service any where any more and the value that you place on your reputation is evident. Food as art is one thing but food as the heart of family is another level altogether.
Biggest congratulations and thanks, keep this up and the people will continue to come and beat a path to your home.

Honestly one of the worst meals I have ever had in 44 years in Perth.

3 adults 3 kids.

Byo brought two bottles for dinner.

Asked for kids menu they said don’t have but can make smaller dish. (Bill at end was 28 dollars per child for simple spaghetti - 2 with sauce one with olive oil and cheese)

Menu wasn’t what was available no Antipasto no gnocchi and my pasta special with moreton bay bugs were replace with octopus but still kept price at 44 dollars.

Entree was carpaccio flavorless with some weird sauce on side and middle eastern flavors.

Not a true Italian restaurant at all and definitely not fine dining

When I questioned the cost for children’s meal she said to me but you brought byo wine (15 dollars a bottle) I said what has that got to do with anything. She discounted to 18 per plate for kids meal but damage was done

If I am honest I have never written such a review in my life but this was without doubt one of the worst meals in my life. And definitely the worst hospitality I ever had.

Avoid and take with skepticism the positive reviews as they must be paid for.
