Portorosa Fremantle

Friendly and helpful service, really relaxed vibe and truly excellent food at a very fair price. No criticisms whatsoever and happy to recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly.

A bit of a hit or miss. Sometimes the pizza is really good, other times its flavorless. Seafood platter was very oily. I agree with the other reviews having unfriendly interactions with some of the staff. Joyce was lovely but another staff member was rude over the phone when I asked for some dipping sauce. They seem a bit irritated by their customers sometimes.

Just went to have dinner but was “greeted” by an extremely rude man with a bandage on his forehead. Opted to keep walking to somewhere with better service.

The Bruschetta was the only thing that let dinner down which is highly disappointing because I love Bruschetta, it had no flavour to it, I also pinched some of my husbands fetta cheese to help it but even that had no taste (no I haven't got Covid), 3/10. The Casarecce Vegetarian pasta was very delicious, 8/10. Overall I would give it a 8/10 and would only go back for the pasta.

I phoned to book a reservation for a table of 2. The young gentleman who answered seemed almost new to the job with how he took my phone booking was unprofessional. This had sparked a red flag due to his casual way of being very vague on what information was required to confirm the reservation.
Upon arrival (7pm) An older gentleman was at the front counter and he seemed busy with some book work and didn’t exactly welcome myself or my partner in any way.
It was almost as if our arrival wasn’t of any urgency or that we meant nothing to his business. I presume he was the owner.
So once my partner and I were waiting for attention, not even a hello or any apology.
I told him we had reserved a table. He led us to a table that had been waiting for a turnover. So we had to stand there and watch him prepare our table. This was almost embarrassing as we had an awkward vibe beginning to unfold around us with other families and couples watching.
Once seated, Water was not offered as a standard default to a table service.
We had to wait almost 10 minutes after our first drink order before was delivered. We almost walked out until we received our drinks.
It was my partner’s birthday dinner and I felt ashamed on what I thought was going to be professional and at least provide attentive staff who yet couldn’t see we were already ready for another drink as our dinner order was taken.
It was not busy at all, it was like the table service staff had a busy night and the night only begun.
How are these people still in business is beyond me. I feel as though maybe they have a reputation that wasn’t worth upholding any more.
What a Shame! And we will not advise anyone to go to such a casual, careless environment. Not even worth our time and we have made a lot better a home.
2 stars is over rated on our belief.

A delicious meal they were quite short staffed the night we went but still did their best and served us with a smile! Food was delicious and we would happily go back!

Booked a table online a week ago. When we went in yesterday there was no booking. Ordered food omg it was really bad the steak was burnt on one side. The only thing good was their lasagne. Not sure if the chef has changed.overall I will not recommend the food and will not go back.

The food and service is amazing! Wanted a quality seafood meal and a friend recommended Portorosa, was a bit unsure as its an Italian restaurant but had to be 1 of the best seafood dinners I've had anywhere! Highly recommended!
Oysters and seafood platter were outstanding though the chilli mussels was the highlight.

The food is quiet good when dining in, however the owner and other Italian staffmembers were extremely rude. They are not friendly to costumers at all except the new English waitress who was very very friendly.
I also just tried to order again for pickup and a woman picked up the phone said hold the line and I was on the phone waiting 15 min? On a Monday? I’m sorry but I’m not calling a costumer service line? This is an absolute joke.
Also we heard from 3 different Uber drivers the owner is the rudest chef they’ve met.
Do not recommend!

Our host Elaine was so wonderful. Great wine recommendation and a smile all throughout her service! The funghi ripiene entree was amazing and our scotch fillets were so tender and cooked to perfection! And the garlic prawns on top were

This is the best restaurant in Fremantle. The food and staff are all top shelf. Couldn't fault it.

Food was atrocious, cold meat on pizza (most likely straight from the freezer). Noodles were hard and uncooked. Tap water tasted terrible and food was over priced for such small portion. You’d think it’s from a one star Michelin star based on the price to size ratio. However you can probably get a better bang for your buck going to your local gas station and buying a full course meal there. Definitely do not recommend, decent service though…

Excellent Italian restaurant. Pizzas and pastas are delicious and you can feel that it’s homemade. I would have tried the all menu if I could but i only have 1 stomach. I recommend 10/10

I ordered lasagna today but I vomited up after eating. I do not think it was made of good quality ingredients because It was a bit salty.
I have never had such a salty food in a restaurant.

Good location but the inside restaurant was hot.

I ordered the 1/2 crayfish tagliatelle $39. Perfectly cooked and couldn’t fault it!

Went on a busy Friday evening. Ordered Agniolotti and Scitch fillet. Both were very good and the steak was one of the best I've had.

Food was nice when it eventually came but by then I would have eaten the ring of a low flying duck. Staff were friendly and coped well with an increasingly edgy hungry crowd. We had a booking of over 50 for main course of a food crawl, had been booked for weeks so they should have been more prepared. I waited 1 hour 20 mins for my fish, after an hour my friend was told her pasta choice was no longer available and was offered another, this came out undercooked and chewy. Disappointed as my local Spearwood Potorosa is Fabulous so was expecting better.

Good food. Menu was a bit too big. Just a smidge pricey. Friendly service and nice drinks menu.

Good italian cuisine at a pretty reasonable price! I thought that the dishes had a good amount of flavour in them and they were very well portioned. The ambience of the restaurant was nice, we went on a quieter night so there were a few spare tables but easy to imagine the place packing out on a weekend. Food came very fast and the waiters were helpful. The Italian scene in Fremantle is pretty competitive but if you haven’t been here before then give it a shot!

Best pizzas and pastas! Truly delicious. The pizza bread is soft and crispy at the same time. The toppings are fresh and yummy, everything is just right.
We love to sit outside by the street to eat and drink while watching parade of fancy or unique cars and bikes passing by. Excellent service by the waiter and waitress.
