Peel Alehouse reviews
75Often understaffed so be prepared to wait to be served. Some staff seem surly and disinterested.
We used to eat at the Peel Alehouse almost weekly because the food was great. But over the last year it has gotten worse and worse. They’ve now cut down their menu and the quality of the food was so disappointing. We wanted salad with our meals- not possible, only slaw. We ordered a drink- didn’t come so I had to go and ask for it and it was still wrong. We were trying to eat our meal and a staff member decided that was the perfect time to go and pop a bunch of balloons with a knife while cleaning up a nearby table in the middle of the restaurant. Highly unlikely that we’ll be back again.
We would like to thank everyone at The Peel Ale House for looking after us on Saturday during our small event. The food was wonderful and plentiful. The service was spot on. I would highly recommend this Pub. With a special mention to Cheyenne thank you so much.
Hubby got gifted a voucher for Peel Alehouse. We had the Thursday special of a sirloin steak with beer battered onion rings chips and salad, and a garlic bread. Not one bit of it disappointed us. For drinks we ordered a gentleman jacks and a fruit tingle and they too were made to perfection.
All up our meal and drinks were $105.50 worth EVERY PENNY! (not that we pid the voucher did haha)
The staff were the best! Smiles and very friendly. The venue was lovely and clean.
The only thing that wasn't very nice was something Peel Alehouse had NO control over was the flies (we were inside) but other then that everything was FANTASTIC!
We will be back 100%
19 of us went on Monday for lunch to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of our fathers passing. Talk about disappointing. All our meals were terrible. My wife & my parmigianas were the worst we have ever had. The chips were tasteless and the salad was a wet clump of awful coleslaw. The staff, at best, were rude, from the serving counter to the meals being delivered to the table.
I will never again go to this place.
Went for food here yesterday after taking the kids and family out in Mandurah. We all really enjoyed it at this venue. The layout is really nice with indoor/outdoor spacious areas, including a kids play area and the food is delicious! We could not finish it all such big portions. The service was amazing and staff so friendly! Big shout out to Amy and Ray for being so lovely and accommodating! Will definitely be recommending this place to all and be coming back when visiting again. Thank you Peel Alehouse team you are all 5*+
My medium cooked steak. 3 out of 4 meals came out together. The 4th was forgotten, even after a reminder the 4th never came. Nothing worse than looking like a Karen when you politely ask again and again for that missing meal. All 3 meals that arrived were cold and that didn't help whilst I chewed on my under cooked steak. Felt like I was chewing at it straight from the cow.
Honestly some of the front of house staff were great. The others lack direction and hospitality!
Do the chefs know when to change their fryer oil and seriously stop refrying chips it just makes them oily and horrible. As for the salad, it was hot and your dressing is way off (try it) unbalanced and bitter. Your steaks were almost almost cooked the way they were ordered. I'd honestly say more attention to detail and less about playing games.
My food was only luke warm, the soda & bitters I ordered came as lemonade & bitters, staff were having problems at food ordering cash point. Noise outside was deafening. I recommended this venue to a small group approx 14 persons and was embarrassed by similar comments from my friends. I won't be returning!
What a great atmosphere and set up! Loved the outdoor area and has a great playground for the little ones to keep them happy as well as quizzes and colouring in with pencils for the older kids too! Love the ordering process for minimising contact and added bonus is the TAB! Food was pretty tasty, well presented and large serving and the service was friendly! We will be back for sure
My family had a booking post funeral, it was lovely, fairly quiet. The staff did a great job checking and stamping ppl for their covid vac certificate. I had a pumpkin salad, yum.
Last night I had the best meal I have had in a long time. I ordered the Peel Stuffed Chicken and it was delicious. It was so good I devoured it before thinking to take a photo. Compliments to the chef… I will be back
Awesome food and super helpful, friendly staff. Service was quick and they made the double vax thing very no fuss. We'll definitely be back!
Our family arrived with an 8 week old Staffy and were more than happy to be welcomed and seated in their expansive outdoor, undercover area, with a number of seating options i.e. Standard table seating, high / bar tables and a splattering of lounge seating. Menu read well, so far as a pub menu. Multiple options for the obligatory Parmi (something for everyone). The 'Boss' ordered the fish of the day which was Barramundi, I selected the lamb wrap.
45 minutes later. We enquired if our food would be much longer? This was a Monday afternoon.maybe 7 -9 people in the restaurant section. On arrival, the Barra was muddy and had no substance, lamb wrap was lacking lamb. The stand out however was our waitress. Amy, hat's off to you! She went far beyond to fix the 'fishy' problem. Without Amy stepping in to remedy, it would have been a bust. Peel ale house.hang on to Amy (7 stars to her, this review does not do justice to her professionalism.) Great outdoor setting, sadly lack's character.but has potential.
Thanks to the lovely danni that went out of her way to find us a table had a great night very much appreciated we will come back again
We haven't been here in a couple of years, last time I had a fantastic steak and was so eager to come back. Unfortunately the Philly cheese steak sandwich was very disappointing, the cheese sauce as stated on the specials menu was basically gravy, and the "chips" it came with were clearly wedges, the bread not fresh, the steak was tender. The service was friendly and on time.
Food was horrible, straight up disgusting. I had a scotch fillet that tasted 5 weeks old. The vegetables were not the same as shown in the photo, the prawns looked and tasted undercooked.
My friend got a grilled fish, I tried it and spat it out straight away.
Went for dinner last night food was awesome customer service was outstanding thank you to all the staff we had a very enjoyable night…
A truly remarkable Tavern we are really lucky to have in Mandurah. Menu changes regularly and food is always what one would expect. The venue is clean and tables well spread out and the staff and ambience is bright and breezy and friendly. Parking and access also easy and cannot fault this tavern - better than any in Perth and they deserve their loyal following.
Food is of good standard and large portions. Service a bit slow tonight, but this seems to be the norm when the place is busy.
