Onslow Beach Resort reviews
68It's the best place in town. The big fryup breakfast is real good. Rooms are comfortable. You should still go to the pub for a beer
It was a quiet day. Food was good. Enjoyed the coffee. Rate it as Average. Have since returned and had dinner there. The duck entree was delicious as was the fish. Faith restored.
Ordered a pizza there came out soggy, saturated and oily.staff were rude to the Mrs.nice view! 1 out of 5.
Nice place to stay when in town for a site visit. Much better than other places I have stayed in.
Absolutely excellent customer service from the management over the Easter period. Would highly recommend to stay here. See you again in June. Thank you
Nice place. Better than the local pub for sure. Expensive however.
Interestingly. It's owned by the same board of directors that lease Mackerel Island (Thevenard). This is interesting if you look into the history of Mackerel. Not the best history
Anyway, was a nice place.
My steak was requested to be medium rare. It came almost raw. Some parts were cooked but one I found a bit that couldn't even cut through. Then u discovered the meat terribly raw.
Give the manager credit for offering a refund and agreeing it was raw. My buddies pizza. Was good.
I noticed some reviews have replies from someone in management (describe themselves as 'owner') with direct avoidance of issues raised by visitors. Poor form.
Ok. Let's head over to tripadvisor.

This place gets packed, not so much due to the quality of food and service.more to do with lack of choice! Staffed mainly by friendly backpackers. Service and food take a while. Food tastes good. Very expensive though. View is amazing, any closer to the water and you'd have to wear your boardies for dinner. Align your expectations with the remoteness of the place and not the scenery and you'll have a good time.
EDIT: Went again recently and asked for a Captain Morgan and ginger beer - I was told I'd be charged for a bottle of ginger beer as a mixer. First time I've ever heard of this happening at any bar/club I've ever been in around the world.
