Old Faithful Bar & BBQ reviews
61 People behind in bar on the phone.
Welcoming on our way into the venue was already not great but still love bbq food and wanted to give a go
Food is great, we had lot to take home since the person behind the bar even we order a good ammonir of food for two suggested to buy even more since apparently was not enough for two what we ordered … not coming back
Great and large selection of beers on tap, service was friendly and attentive, and the food was spot on…. Beef Short Rib and Lamb Ribs were both well prepared, tender and tasty.
Upon arrival, one of the staff yelled across the restaurant to ask us to wait at the sign on entry. Yet people we were eating with were already seated.
We were there for a birthdays dinner, it was SO embarrassing to be yelled at and have everyone staring at us.
No smoke ring on the smoked brisket, everything come out cold.
The side dishes were nice, but the main meats and burgers were underwhelming.
I wouldn’t recommend - looking at the responses to the other negative reviews, doesn’t seem like they are keen to take feedback on board …
Food too expensive for the quality delivered. We ordered a meat platter. The lamb rack was good and fresh but pork and brisket arrived already cold and didn't taste freshly cooked. Just couple of cuts of each type of meat for almost 80$ with no sides, looked more like a tasting platter.
After visiting The Comedy Lounge, we wanted to get some food and drinks for the team. We went to Old Faithful and had some fantastic food and drinks! Great venue with amazingly delicious food!
Place was half empty, walked through the door and the door man mumbled at me "how are you" so I happily said "good thank you and you? ", He rudely said "NO!? Get back here now, I said how MANY are you" like I'm some kind of criminal!? Tried to ignore his behaviour and continue to enjoy the night, food and drinks and the rest of the staff were fine. But that kind of treatment and first impression means I'll happily not go back
Good atmosphere (apart from the beer menu TV’s), decent service, awesome pulled pork (it didn’t even need the sauce), clean tasting pickled coleslaw was really good. A big fail was the brisket though… tough, fat not rendered through, chewy in parts… disappointing!
Food was good but slightly misleading portions. All star says feeds 4 to 6. We had a table of 4 and was touch and go. Only had 3 pieces of bread, wouldve thought at least to fit the minimum 4 & one slice of brisket to be shared was quite slim.
Had to get a quick meal and went to try old faithful for the first time! Katie was an awesome foh staff full of energy, good vibes and was very informative! She helped us throughout our whole meal and had an eye to detail! The foood was soooooo bomb! Lamb ribs and iverson + mac and cheese were so filling for our yummy stomachs! We left happy and cant wait to come back! Great service and great food! Such a great chill spot for good times!
MY FRIEND, THE BIRTHDAY BOY, GOT THE WRONG PLATTER. AND TO TOP ALL OFF, IT CAME WITH WHITE SLICED BREAD.
EW
Do not go here.
Food is third rate rubbish better off going to KFC and I'm not joking.
The tiny wannabe, door person waiter grumpy smurf! With the beard and maybe his own gender issues? , needs to calm down.
Situated on king's st on one of the best streets in Perth is what I thought would be a eating experience. Wasn't I in for a surprise. The service is good and the staff helpful but the food is lacking in quantity and quality. The brisket was dry and ribs small. The barbecue chicken wings was the only highlight though my wife was happy with her chicken burger. The beer pricing is ridiculous. I personally will never set foot into this establishment again. I actually had to get a snack later in the night. If you want to pay a lot for very little then this place is for you. Otherwise give it a wide berth.
The chiefs do a fantastic job in bringing out the best brisket and burnt ends. So juicy and delicious. We also had a incredibly tasty serve of brussel sprouts and rosted roasted broccoli. A fantastic team, chiefs and staff
Very nice bbq. We always go for a mixed platter to enjoy a bit of everything. Try to get in early as its walk in only. But if you dont finish it all (possible but not optional) you can take it away. Mega bonus.
Share platter enormous.
Food was to die for.
Even let us bring a birthday cake, supplying plates and candles.
Excellent value
They don't do reservations but we didn't have to wait to be seated. Very efficient. We had a platter, grilled Brussels sprouts, jalepeno poppers and loaded fries. The meats were fantastic and tender. The Brussels sprouts were so tasty. The loaded chips and poppers came with Lime Cream. I didn't like the taste of the lime cream, it ruined the poppers so just ate them with no dipping sauce. Overall nicely designed place with a relaxed atmosphere. Lots of craft beers on tap, I had a sour which went well with the meats.
These beer prices, even for a craft beer bar in central Perth, are really tough to justify. Add to that a mediocre taplist and a $15+ pint of Otherside Harvest Red IPA which was brown and cloudy when it should have been red and clear and which the bartender saw nothing wrong with because it tasted OK and you have a really underwhelming experience
Omg everything we had here was absolutely divine! Cannot get over how delicious the brussel sprouts were
Good food and service. Great place to have a few drinks, something to eat and catchup with friends
First time here and sat at the bar. Bar service was amazing.ordered a pint of stout and later a Hornet IPA both excellent but abit pricy at $16 each! Crazy won't be back for this rip off!
Might possibly be the most expensive pint I've ever bought!
The meal of Beef Brisket and lamb ribs were amazing but the corn bread was really yukky compared to what I've had elsewhere, dry stale tasteless and the expensive coleslaw was very yukky way too much vinegar inedible keep away from those 2 items on the menu.
Overall a nice place to have a beer and meat with amazing service.
