Odyssea City Beach reviews
79Expected more for such a great looking place. Food needs improvement as well as meal presentation.
Had Lunch here and was nice, we ordered the fish and chips and they came out with old oil and really not great tasting. Service was not faulted just the dish was spoilt due to old oil used
Food was great. Prosecco was on offer. The shade from the sun was welcome and the staff were great helpful and polite.
Our meals were all beautifully presented and tasty. The waitress was delightful, one of our favourite restaurants.
Lovely staff and a great venue however food is far too expensive for the quality provided. $28 for (very obviously frozen - not fresh) fish and chips is not acceptable.
This restaurant has become our favorite after a delicious meal last night.:) Really enjoyed the flavor combinations in both entrees and mains. The men pronounced their steaks were cooked perfectly as requested and generous servings. Worth every penny.
Good place to visit with good food, good service, good views, with plenty of parking if you're patient.
We went to lunch yesterday taking family for the first time, I had been for breakfast previously and loved it. But yesterday thoroughly disappointed with the food. Service was good, but food was very below average. It was just warm, small serves and very expensive. We were there early and took 45mins to get our mains, for 4 people. Won't be returning again.
Had a great breakfast here. The flavours on paper looked a bit eclectic but I went for it and was really surprised by how well everything tasted together. (It was the chorizo and avocado)
My wife & I had lunch today after a long while visiting Odyssea. From the warm welcome from Thomas & the charismatic service from Wills, we won't be waiting too long between visits next time!
Complementing the excellent service was the sublime food & drinks order of freshly shucked oysters, the Salmon & Kangaroo with a side of their delectable potatoes, washed down with a delicious Chandon Spritz. We couldn't leave just yet without dessert: Chocolate Hazelnut & Coconut Dome.
We rolled out of there fully satisfied & look forward to returning with additional family & friends. This time we'll book & get a gorgeous table out front. Hoping Wills will be there to serve us again!
This restaurant never diissapoints. Fantastic venue, view, service and amazing food. We will be back again and again. Thankyou everyone at Odyssea
Been to Chakra a few times in last years.
Hospitality by Chakra's friendly staff is always outstanding. Food, cocktails (Indian flavours) and service is always top notch.
Keep up the great work.
Sunday breakfast: busy but fun atmosphere. Friendly staff and other customers. Lots of well behaved dogs. Food very good, but my scrambled eggs on toast was on the small side and no embellishments like butter.
Coffee hot and nutty.
Probably 4.5 stars
Large size restaurant with alfresco area, verandah with the view of auditorium and ocean. Food is good but can't order outside of the menu. Alcohol is available.
A lovely view, superb and inventive meals, large portions! The cane seats were a it low for table, I'll bring a cushion next time!
It's such a wonderful place to have a delicious meal. I visited with my partner in a Sunday for a lunch, and the 3 different plates ordered were just amazing. Their cooking chef's brings the best of flavour from each single element on the dishes in a way never experienced before. The counter staff was very pleasant and the place itself is great spoted, with beautiful views and a peaceful vibe (I sited outside).
PS.: I would only replace the knife, as the ones used by ourselves were very ruthless.
I'm a fan, we go often and this time 9-10-2021 (fiance's birthday) was like all the others. We were happy with the good table service, the food - quantity and quality. An all round good experience. Recommended.
Rather limited menu.
Swordfish option not available
One meal had to be returned as chicken was cold/uncooked
Would possibly re-visit but unsure
We come here quite often and it’s a great place for a coffee and a catch up. However, we came this morning and were disappointed by the service of who we think was the manager. She was very dismissive and passive aggressive for the entire time we were there. Unfortunate as every other time we’ve been it has been lovely!
Beautiful venue but that’s all that was enjoyable about our experience here. Variety of food for dinner was limited especially for my vegetarian friend who had an option of hummus or salad. Over priced and out of a group of 11 only one said they completely enjoyed their meal. It also took over 20mins to be asked what drink I’d like to then have to wait another 15 to receive it. Disappointed to say the least. Have also previously been for brunch and didn’t overly rate the food then either.
