Odin Tavern

Had a very nice dinner at Odin Tavern tonight for mother's day. The Roast was cooked very nicely and also included dessert for $20 as per their special which was very reasonable. Will definitely come back.

I heard there was new owners and new Chef. Thought I would give it a try as I haven't been back for a while.
Food was amazing had a Chicken Parmi very tasty, large serving and staff were very friendly and helpful. So many different options on the new menu.
Highly recommended and will be back soon to see the ongoing Renos.

Had a senior's roast of the day (pork) with all the trimmings. Great value at $17. Very generous serving and tasty. Staff are friendly and helpful. Recommended.

The Odin isn't what it use to be. Tonight, my steak and salad consisted of lettuce, onion, 12 chips, mushroom sauce and steak. Where was my tomato, cucumber or sprouts? Where were the rest of my chips? There were two other groups in the restaurant and they were gone by 8pm. At 8.30, someone brought out the vacuum cleaner. Obviously time to go.

We did not like it, maybe it wasn't the best time to go 4pm to 6, no people servicing at the front, took time to place the order.

Brilliant Sunday roast. $20 for perfectly cooked veges tender meat and a dessert second to none, why go anywhere else. The staff friendly and attentive, atmosphere peaceful, no crazy loud music. Enclosed veranda it dining inside. Yes yes yes

Just had a great ride with a good mate of mine on our bikes and saw 2 of the prettiest and talented barmaids around

They do a really nice stake sandwich, but the reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because at the front entrance there is a sign that says "please wait to be seated by staff" we waited for 30 minutes before I went up to the bar to ask to be seated, now at that time there was 2 tables occupied out of 30 available tables, so he said just choice a table and come to the bar to order your food, we then went to the bar and ordered food when it was ready he yelled out our table number and we had to get our own meals and then we had to go back to the bar to ask for cutlery bad table service but food is okay.

Service not good and not friendly. Ordered chicken and sweet corn soup which tasted like a can microwaved soup with chunks of chicken put in. Garlic bread was gross. Steak sandwich was not that good. Onion rings and chips was the only part that was good. No specials board or drinks menu and had to ask waitress to tell us these. Owner/Manager ate in the resturant area watching tv. Nobody asked if our meals were ok.

Great atmosphere excellent food and great place to go for a social drink with family or friends

We had the Sunday roast which was very "old school " but tasty and good value. The place itself is definitely in need of a makeover tho.

Caught up with a friend on Wednesday night. Steak was raw and needed to be returned and calamari cold. Had the lights turned off on us at 9pm and when we asked why the response was 'there's no one else here but you now so we're closing for staff drinks'. Not sure what the official closing time is.

1st we called up and booked got there and they hadnt had a table ready. 2kn had to wait about 25 minutes for someone to come to the table they then still did not come to the table we had to go ask for someone the guy said you can order at the bar but i will come do it he was not happy. 3rd had to wait 30 minutes before getting food. 4th the sraff were unfriendly and misserable. Use to be a local place and now would not go back!
Also i was given the wrong drink told the guy about it and he just oh then sighed horrible place!

17.9.19 - we decided to try the place again and the mash potatoe was cold and found plastic in one of our meals

Absolutely disgraceful kitchen closed at 8pm on a Friday night all TV’s for the footy were behind in the sound and display that are all in the same room, food was rubbish and overpriced will never come back again

The food and service are exceptional
Not quite old school but when you have really reasonable priced food and drinks along with attentive staff you can't go wrong. Will be back

Nice cozy place for a meal and a drink or two. Although the range of food is not vast, what food they offer is well made and tasty. Portions are also quite large.

Great atmosphere great food attentive friendly staff. The food is beautifully presented. Highly recommended.

Good pub food and really nice staff. Depending on the chef on the night the food is either good or very good. It's never been bad just a little inconsistent. Overall it's great here, especially when they have the kids eat free nights on Monday and Tuesday.

"I'd like to order please. " I said as I was at the bar. The woman seemed busy and I was perusing their menu as she placed a glass of water in front of me.
"There you go. " She said as she was turning away.
"No no sorry, I'd like to order. " I reiterated. (Not to water?)
The look of annoyance bordering disgust shocked me as she said "You could have told me that as I was pouring it. "
I should have told her to stop pouring a glass of water that could have been for anyone? Gee whizz.
