Northbridge Medical Centre

The team at Northbridge Medical went above and beyond to help with our travel vaccinations. They were flexible in finding and changing appointments and everyone from the front counter, doctors and nurses were great to deal with.

When we needed help to continue with a course of rabies vaccinations that had been started overseas, they spent over an hour working with Dept Health to ensure I got the right dose on the right day. They even stayed back late so I could stay on the right schedule.

Just as importantly, after many injections here and overseas, the vaccinations at Northbridge Medical were the most pain free and as comfortable as can be expected. I’d highly recommend the team here and will be back for any future travel vaccinations.

This medical centre it's the best drs and nurses are friendly people you can eve find in Australia. They are very communication good and if you do not have money just talk to them and they will help you through your consultation. Friendly people I recommend very one if traveling to visit this medical centre for your vacation

The doctor was very informative and polite regarding what vaccinations I would need for my international travels. The nurse who provided the vaccinations was very clear about what side effects I may experience and information for further support if needed. Overall, the team at this clinic were very professional and most importantly kind to me as a patient.

We scheduled a phone appointment and a woman called us 10 minutes before our appointment to confirm we are coming in. We told her it was a phone appointment and she didn’t realise until she checked the system and realised it was in fact a phone appointment. She then said payment needs to be made up front over the phone but we can come into the practice to get a $40 Medicare refund so we agreed to pay the $90 fee. My partner then came into the practice to get the Medicare refund a few days later and was told no refund could be given as it was the first time we had an appointment there. They then called us after complaining and put blame on my partner saying that they “would have told her this on the phone”. We would have never agreed to pay this money in the first place if it was made known to us. She also would have never made the effort to go into the practice if she was told over the phone that she could not get a Medicare refund. Very unprofessional way to deal with a patient and bad customer service.

I love the Team at NMC because they have an easy and efficient online booking system, the doctors are personable, knowledgeable and most are LGBTQIA+ friendly which is a bonus for myself and my husband! A great service! No hassles! ️‍️ ️‍

Don't recommend this clinic at all. My first visit I paid 50$ more (125$) because it was longer that 25min. There is no information about this. Rip off. My 3rd visit was waiting more than 40min for the visit. My parking ticket expired and then lady told me there is free one for 45min next to. 3rd visit there is no information about parking as well. I'm going to change my doctor. And don't recommend this place at all!

I took my mother to see Doctor YingXin (Catherine) Liu. The doctor was very rude and didn't have any human skills when dealing with a patient that is going through psychological problems. On top of that, my mother is going back to Brazil and we're requesting the medical records from the clinic so she can present them to the doctors overseas so they can have the context needed to keep her treatment. The clinic and the doctor are refusing to send the medical records. This is a privacy right my mother has and they have by law to comply and refuse to do so.

My positives: I found the receptionist and pathology technician to be very friendly and accommodating. The opening hours are good and they were running on time and I was seen promptly.

My negatives: Unfortunately I was not impressed at all by my treatment from Dr Catherine Liu - she was unfriendly and had a very curt manner, which made me feel unwelcome, rushed and self conscious. She questioned my symptoms and experience and did not appear able to remain impassive when I was describing the issue and my background to her - showing visible disbelief and disapproval on her face and in her tone. I would not see her again and do not recommend that others visit with her.

We usually comes and see Dr Koh (who by the way is amazing doctor) but he wasn’t available. Mum had rash developing and we were worried it’ll be shingles. So we booked Dr Catherine Liu who was only available that day and I do not recommend her to ANYONE. She was not friendly at all, made a WRONG diagnose which led to make mum’s rash worse and turns out it was shingles. It now is too far for her to take any medication she only can take the painkillers. I do understand sometimes people make mistakes but her description said she studied dermatology? Wasted money and time.

Dr Low was professional doctor, who was patient and nice. He can speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese. If you are waiting for Lab results, staffs would sent a message let you know, no need to waste time on missed call. The clinic was 40 kilometres away from my home which worth the time to see the doctor. The front desk staffs were friendly and helpful.

Shame for this experience. Try to book online an appointment but because I’m land 3 days ago with all the negative test I can’t have appointment. So calling the Center people at the phone say no problem coming, and when I coming she just say we can’t take you because you have travel in the 2 past weeks even in the phone I had explained that. Doing 1h of transport for nothing and no refund…
