Northbridge Chinese Restaurant reviews
58It offers traditional HK style dim sum. The atmosphere is similar to HK dim sum with waitresses pushing trolley with of different types of dim sum. Tasty and nice. However, some of the dim sums were not as temperature hot / warm to my liking, especially when you were the early customers. The char siew for the rice roll can be more refine and smaller pieces.
We went there this Saturday morning and the service was like a chaos. We haven’t even sat down and they were already trying out food on our table and no one will pour more hot water for the tea. Then we couldn’t start our food because we didn’t have enough cutlery on the table. The tea was amazing but the food was not we are used to expect. The roast pork taste like a rubber and the crunchy skill would nearly break your teeth. I’m afraid I would not recommend this place for my friends.
Terrible service rude to customer not comfortable atmosphere and very bad attitude from the old lady and the table number guy.
Did not continue to eat here.
No manners at all whatsoever. Had been loyal customer for 30 years and business has only gone downhill. Will not return or recommend to anyone. Stay away from here.
The table set up was for begger/homeless - not for paying customer.
And they had the nerve to call us crazy when we left which is highly unprofessional and no one deserves to be treated this way.
Only come here if you want to feel stressed and not relaxed also insulted on your day off.
They don’t listen to customers request, quick and good at giving lip service, taking back, not respecting customer.
I work in hospitality and if I were to do this at work I would be dead. My boss would kill me.
Many people know their dim sum is one of the best in Perth.
Their dinner dishes are very good as well. You should try
Restaurant was very busy for Father's Day, with patrons waiting on street outside for an empty table.
Food was good but not fantastic. Pork bun has a sugar coating, which for me is just too sweet. I am not a fan of cilantro (coriander), so a beef in pastry dish I tried was inedible because of too much of this herb which overpowered the dish. The pepper steak was fine. Colourful traffic light Jelly dessert popular with young diners. Mango pudding enjoyable.
Lovely meal. Excellent dim sum. The sauces were just right. Exceptionally friendly and polite staff. All of the food was delicious and fresh.
Tuesday night and it was busy, took a little while for our order to taken only due to how many were in.the food and menu excellent, byo is the way to go as no wine menu. Excellent food portions. Parking convenient as almost next door - we were a group of 7 and all agreed fabulous night! Definitely will return… thankyou to the lovely lady who took our order.excellent choices.
We were asked to sit a table close to the kitchen way and toilet door despite there were plenty of empty seats. Nearly being hit by the waiter who serving food. Not a proper to dine in despite having to pay the expensive food. The food price including drink has also increased and getting more expensive. If I have other better choice, we may not visit the restaurant again in future.
One of the oldest dim sum restaurant in Perth with traditional trolley service. It is conveniently located at Roe St, Northbridge. The egg tarts are the best I have tasted so far in Perth. The porridge is delicious that is full of flavour. I suggest to go early to have more selection of dim sum. I like the char siu bao (BBQ pork bun) too as the meat was fresh and the bun skin texture is soft.
We ordered the vegetarian noodles and the portion is generous. The noodles come with mushroom, black fungus, beans etc and the sauce is excellent.
The price of the menus is reasonable and comparable to other dim sum restaurant nearby.
Customer service is fine as the staff are rather attentive to customers' requests.
The business of the restaurant during weekend is busy and crowded. Expect to join the queue and wait for the foods.
It can be listed as the Must Visit dim sum restaurant in Perth.
应该是珀斯最差的了…推车的阿姨古灵精怪,一边推车一边吃东西,还无视客人…Terrible service. Waitress was extremely rude. Never going back there again.
To be honest, the food was good. However the service is terrible and the old ladies waitresses are rude and very pushy, a disgrace to the hospitality industry. Will be the first and last time coming here.
Very Fresh and Delicious dim-sum and also good service. I refer their staffs just like my aunties, attentive and caring?
Such rude staff. I wont go back here, the food was decent, but the workers here made my experience terrible. Not a single worker was polite to me. It took about 20-30 minutes to actually order. When I ask for assistance, no one helps. One lady didn’t even bother to look at me and just raised her hand up to me and said “later”, when I said excuse me. Staff were pressuring me to buy more food, constantly coming up to my table asking if I wanted this or that. I asked for takeaway containers and they failed to mention I had to pay for them. I got charged wrong too, and had to bring it up so they changed it. I do not recommend this restaurant.
Food is 5-star for sure, very authentic and delicious. Service is a bit chaos, but that’s the real Guang Dong style service LOL which I feel familiar and okay, but maybe not be okay for someone who first comes to Guang Dong restaurants. Definitely want to come more often if I live in Perth.
The worst restaurant I’ve ever been! The front desk leading us to the table that was just next to the toilet! So smelly and gross!
Serving other tables that came after and neglecting to bring food ordered over 1hr 30mins ago. Go somewhere else, waste of time
It's been 5 years since I was last in Perth and this restaurant is still my #1 dimsum yumcha place. You won't regret, must try!
Came for dinner with the whole family. Service was quick and efficient. It can be difficult to understand the ladies who work here due to their accent but most of the food were delicious. The ladies do hard sell on their food. Offering other dish when we know what exact dish we want. Just be firm and they should get the message.
We had sizzling Japanese tofu, stir fry beef, seafood claypot with tofu, chicken fried noodle, roast duck, special chicken, szechuan style bean curd, fried vermicelli singapore style and spinach with two kind of eggs. We liked most of them.
Not going to lie, the dimsum and food here taste pretty good. But the staff are very rude to me and my family, with very persistent trying to pressure us into ordering the dishes, collecting dish that my mum was still halfway eating and dropping the teapot rudely on the table when we politely asked for a refill.
Definitely not a nice experience at all dining in here.
One of my favorite place for dimsum. We ordered prawn dumpling, siu mai, squid tentacles, and then fried dough with prawn inside. Squid is very crispy and not as oily as other place. My fav is the fried dough with prawn. One of the place that has them, for the tea, we order mix of jasmine and chrysanthemums. Overall a good yumcha lunch. Very satisfied!
