Nishi Japanese Restaurant reviews
67 Double booked
Kick us out of teppanyaki table
When we try to celebrate birthday events there
Thank you
Update
We have 4 people booking
But there is not 4 seats empty on the bar
If because of Covid-19
We changed to table
Why there is not 4 seats empty on the bar?
When we got there
Only 2 seats empty
The other 2 seats is not empty
And there is 2 group in one bar
That make us feel is double booked so used COVID-19 for excuse
Kick us out of bar
And plus you guys didn’t do COVID-19 rule
1.5 distance Just got people sitting Next to our table?
We had the set meal with nigiri and sashimi to start, choice of mains, salads and ice cream. My scallops were ever so slightly under-done.still everything was great. Great atmosphere, lovely service and delicious green tea ice cream! It's a good place for date night with the husband.
Food overall is Good. We had teppanyaki Set C and D. Lotsa meat. Very filled. The teppanyaki chef is quite entertaining.
So delicious. Best meal ever. Loved that they could bring out all the food at once and they were so accommodating to our late booking. Absolutely loved our dinner.
Service was bad. Took 30 minutes from booking time to get the salad/miso soup room out booking. We had different appetizer and it didn't come "together" as normally is for teppanyaki.
Teppanyaki taste was rather average as well but chef was quite interactive which is good.
We went tonight and it was really busy. The service was fast considering all the take away going out of the door! The food was exceptional! Cooked to perfection and really fresh. I'm really impressed. Will definitely go back! Well done guys!
Third time eating the lovely food at Nishi but it was our first time dining in the restaurant. Food was amazing as always and service was excellent. We’ll be back again soon.
The food and service are great. I was surprised that this small unassuming location held so much fun and great food. The Tepanyaki style was fun and engaging, and the foods were amazing. Definitely taking my friends back there.
It's a little bit pricey compared to other restaurants BUT it is worth every penny. You get plenty of food and it is absolutely delicious! The cooks are hilarious and just make the experience that much more interesting.
I really liked the salmon don!
The salmon was so nice and fresh
Also recommend katsu don and beef udon
Always fresh and good quality of ingredients
Never regret ️
Nice atmosphere, good service. Plenty of dishes to choose from. Portion is good although when I see them first time it felt a tad small. But it was fulfilling and I had a good time there.
Terrible & rude waiter. We booked a table at 6: 30pm and were told our booking was not taken. All we were told was to wait for another 1.5 hours in a rude way and just like take it or leave it. Will never come back again and don’t recommend this restaurant at all!
I never heard of this restaurant until a friend of mine recommended it. It is middle-range in terms of price but the quality of the food is quite high. It is refined and the attention to details is good, even the rice for the sushi is properly cooked. My favourite was the caramel miso pork!
Such an epic place to visit. Understated and out of the way, between a couple of car yards. Such epic chefs and you must must book to get a fantastic meal with great entertainers.
The meals were well proportion. Not to expensive. Very entertaining. Steak was excellent and cooked has I asked.
This is one of my fav places for lunch near work. The owner Pan is so hard working, the food is always awesome and super fresh. They also have a tepinyaki grill which is amazing!
Disappointed with teppanyaki. Had booked but not advised that chef did not do the usual cooking display. Could have sat a table and just ordered the food.
I'd emphasize the wonderful service provided to us this afternoon. The hosts are mindful towards our needs and were polite and helpful. Food was fresh (beef tataki, soft-shelled crab tempura) and delicious - special treat to our Friday afternoon. I like the ambiance: great place to meet and work for lunch as it's quite quiet. Parking in the are can be really challenging - make sure you time it right.
Love the freshly made sushi and the agedashi tofu. I have been eating at nishi for a number of years and the quality of food has never dropped. Highly recommend!
