New Sahara Middle Eastern Cuisine Authentic Lebanese & Turkish Cuisine, Arabic Halal Food in Perth reviews
52Portion sizes very big. Taste was OK. Disappointed by the wait time (~40mins) even though it wasn't busy and others who ordered after us got their food earlier than ours. Pita bread that came with the hummus came out in a plastic bag that they used to microwave it in.
Best middle eastern food in Perth, that is for sure. The owner always greets you with respect and a smile. I visited that place multiple times, and the food and vibe never disappointment me.
Too bad, never recommended. This was my last time. Will never visit the place.
Food quality was too bad.
Requested for chicken mandi, chef gave a response not in the mood to cook and gave lamb mandi. Loaded with fat. Been here multiple times, but the last one was terrible.
I always get the Kabsa chicken to takeaway from this middle eastern restaurant. It's a roasted chicken coated with middle eastern spicies served with a spiced saffron rice. Very fresh and full of flavour. Their menu does consist of other middle eastern dishes and another must try is the madrus lamb.
Wow what an experience. Go for the lamb neck with his special chilli sauce. Have to look past the decor but then anyone who serious about their food can do this.
Ordered ful.tasted like it was from can.asked for some sauce with dry falafels was denied. Half the menu was not available to be served. No olive oil on table. I didnt ask for it i knew that would be denied too.and charged dollar extra on card payment because i didnt have any cash. Which is not mentioned anywhere.not going back.
Sneakily charged a $1 extra for lamb mandi apparently for no reason other than greed.: @ never stepping foot in there again.
Lamb like never before.so soft it melts in your mouth. Try Arabian delights like mandi and kabsa
Very dirty restaurant, I order chicken mandi, they charged me for lamb mandi. They over charged me, when I ask them the reason, they replied "we provided you sauces". Moreover, food was of poor quality, full of food color, rice was not fresh, they warn rice in microwave oven (in front me me). I will never go again.
Service Is very slow. Only 2 items available from menue. So havent order anything just left the store.
I visited this restaurant one Friday night. There were only four other diners in the restaurant. I only wanted something light so I only spent $7. The owner seem to be a bit peed off with me. He brought out my meal which was basically a bowl of lettuce then upon paying he seemed even more peed off when I try to pay with card after rolling his eyes and humming in hahing he decided to charge me an extra dollar on top of the transaction for using card.
I believe this is illegal as there were no visible signs warning me of this.
I was happy to pay the dollar but not happy to be treated so rudely
If they serve water with food it will be great. Otherwise food flavour was good, it would be more better if they make it fresh.
Arriving in Perth and settling in, this restaurant was across the street from my hotel. I love Middle Eastern food so gave it a try rather than eating at my hotel. I ordered shish kebab which was quite filling and enough for me. The premises were clean and it was home cooking by the wife while the husband was serving. I was only in Perth for the day and definitely will go back next year and hopefully visit this restaurant again. Going by the menu, the prices were quite reasonable.
Food was good, especially the eggplant dip, and service friendly. However we were gobsmacked tap water was unavailable. Our family sees no reason to use single use plastic bottles for water. Hence 4 stars.
There is not much place in Perth with good food in reasonable price.here food is very tasty in reasonable price
Ordered lamb Mandi. Once arrived, it was a big loaf of fat piece. When I told the owner, he started arguing.
Very pathetic service.
Most tender piece of lamb ive eaten, every bite of the meat and rice was exceptional! Cant wait to go again.
Friendly owner, good food. We were looking for an alternative for Levant Cuisine just in case it's closed and we found this place not far from the train station. The food itself was quite good but nothing really caught our taste. I might come again next time to try another menu. Place was a bit cramped and the exhaust fan was very loud and noticable.
The food was absolutely delicious. If you want extra spice, you can ask the boss for the chilli sauce, extreme heat.
