Mount Street Breakfast Bar reviews
67Always delicious! There can sometimes be a wait on weekends so be sure to make a reservation! Glad to see them reopening on Friday nights again
We ordered cilbir poached eggs (omg yummy except toast wasn't buttered I had to ask for some butter) and scrambled eggs. Both dishes were great, coffee was delicious. It was a busy public holiday which meant drinks came out well after the food but they were so busy so can be overlooked. Not sure about the poor wait staff dude who was literally running around between the tables that isn't a good safe look for the place.
Had a nice vibe and the food was good. We were however a bit cold as we visited during winter and they only had one heater in the outdoor area
A bit hidden if you don't know the area well, but worth the find. Great tasting food and very fast service even during busy periods.
Maybe avoid of you have allergies but very tastey if you dont.
Emailed ahead of time to make sure they could accommodate for celiacs and was provided with a list of options where the bread was removed. When we arrived the server didn't know what a celiac was and didn't understand allergens overall. Service wasn't great.
Chefs seems great and the food was tastey but my breakfast still came with bread even though I asked without because the email they sent me said it was only celiac safe without bread.
We would visit here with friends and family much more often if there were more vegan friendly options. Only one vegan menu option available - $17 for a small bowl of porridge. It was tiny so we ordered a second meal. We ordered the smashed avo without the goats cheese and eggs but add some mushrooms. They charged us full price ($18) plus $4 for the a tiny serve of mushrooms! And an extra $1 for oat milk in our coffee. I thought the days of being penalised for ordering vegan were over, obviously not. Such a shame.
Great vibe, food and coffee were good but what you'd expect from a good cafe. The music playlist was on point as well! The only thing stopping me from giving it 4 stars was the hit and miss service. The wait staff seemed to forget our table on multiple occasions, and completely forgot to put through my friend's coffee. She had to reorder it again after we'd finished our food and get it in a take away cup!
Loved this place forbreakfast on our recent visit to Perth. Interesting menu, delicious top quality food and coffee. Friendly and efficient staff. Definitely top of our list to revisit next time we are in Perth. A short but steep walk from here to picturesque Kings Park. Only negative was no disabled or pram access.
Coffee ok. Atmosphere and staff friendliness just so so. Sometimes a smile would make all the difference!
Staff rude and didn't even have the courtesy to get back to us if there was any tables. Ignored for 15 minutes with a bunch of other prospective customers.
Nice outdoor atmosphere to have a good cup of coffee and watch the city wake up.
Friendly staff even though we rocked up before opening time.
Would stop here again after a bike ride through King's Park.
Lovely. Stayed at a bnb near this place and enjoyed my daily visit for coffee. Also love the cool book collection.
Truly interesting breakfast options! Never expected to eat savoury waffles (mustard and cheese waffles with beef brisket), was pleasantly surprised. Amazing cold-pressed juice.
Ate here last week and food was reasonably good and at a fair price. Went tonight at 2000h on the dot and advised that they were closed. I accept that the kitchen may have closed ~30seconds earlier, but to turn a hungry tired customer away for turning up 30 seconds after the kitchen closed seems pretty poor.
Nice variety of options and upmarket quality. Im not a big fan of the sultana hotcakes, wish they came with more strawberries and without sultanas and seeds inside the hotcakes
Great staff, good menu, pretty standard fare for a CBD coffee shop/diner. Decor was nice but I found it a little cramped and dark. Especially after the bright sunshine outside on a scorching summers day. Probably perfect for a couple looking for a romantic, cosy option.
Sneaky little cafe that served food from the gods themselves. Polite and attentive staff that gave it a warm feel. I'd definitely return again.
Nestled amongst an exclusive neighborhood round the corner from the Botanical Gardens. Good friendly service, great cappuccino and tasty vegan quiche (wished it was heated up)
Nice coffee but the breakfast took way too long to come out. It wasn't busy and I think ours was the only order at the time.
We went here as a group, they provided us a different reduced menu. This menu didn't contain items which some of our members wanted. We discussed having the food come in stages but refused, even asked to split the table to no luck. After all of that they ended up not have split billing which is just bizzare considered the accommodations made for groups. Food was fine but service was lacking. Menu was changed at 10 people.
