Mount Street Breakfast Bar

Lovely open space to chat with friends, interesting menu options and nice service. The lamb gyros and sticky chai were tasty, only complaint would be they don't do swaps, hence the four stars. My friend is vegetarian and wanted to swap out smoked salmon in the passionfruit dish for lower value tomato, given the few veg options available at most cafes I feel swaps should be allowed. Otherwise unfair for vegetarians to pay the same amount without the meat.

Just delicious! Every time, every bite, always amazing! Still, all these years after our first visit, the Turkish eggs were amazing!

Staff were pleasant, food was nice but I asked for no bacon on my French Toast and substitute it for mushrooms being I don’t eat meat, I was told they don’t do substitutes. Upon paying, the price of the French Toast was the same $19.00 although it had no bacon. I asked to have to have $5.00 removed from the price as this is what extra bacon costs and they refused, charging me full price and stating you get extra berries, I think I counted 3 more than my mate got on his meal.
No staff seemed to have the authority or ethics to make a decision, claiming it was the owners policy.
Seems they care more for profits than providing a great eating experience.
Not getting anymore of my money, good luck, hope your greediness doesn’t bring about your businesses demise.

Gorgeous little place on Mount Street, awesome menu. Had the warm beetroot salad with a side of salmon which was huge and partner had chilli crab scrambled eggs which was also delicious. The French toast on the table next to us was also looking mighty fine. Nitro cold brew was exceptional. Friendly and fast table service, open late on Friday nights. We'll definitely be back, lovely venue.

Love this place for breakfast when I visit Perth. It is open early even on a Sunday when other cafes are not. Service was friendly and waiters seemed genuinely interested in our plans while visiting Perth. The place seemed popular with cyclists being located just a stone's throw away from the bike path along the highway.
We will return again for sure.

Good coffee and croissants, also the black pudding dish is awesome. Great for, breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Waited for 45 mins for an iced coffee Takeaway and the girl kept telling me it’s coming. What’s the point of having take away due to time constraints and then feel as if waiting there for dining in.

Good service, thank you. The menu options looked fabulous, and the group I was with ordered a good selection of dishes for breakfast. I'd say the food was good but not excellent, but really this place seems to be "on trend" more than "on quality". It's not bad, but I won't go back in a hurry. Specifically I had the chill crab scramble, it was OK with a nice chilli kick suited to a breakfast option. A little oily though and not a whole lot of crab. Reasonable.

Love the cocktails available early morning and the eggs here are cooked to perfection everytime.avoid the crab pasta though

Dear Mount Street Breakfast Bar,

I ordered the Roasted Mushrooms, Walnut Pesto, Poached Eggs + Sourdough plus a flat white coffee and it looks amazing, wonderful, fabulous, excellent, spectacular, marvellous and it must taste truly remarkable and awesome. The Mushrooms are cooked to perfection, Sourdough bread is crunchy the middle and crust and moist in between, poached eggs are boiled to perfection and flat white taste so incredible. Hospitality is just awesome and atmosphere is terrific, thanks to you approximately 6 to 9 staff members on Australia Fathers Day.:) Plus it cost $22.50 but will pay them $30.00 an increase of 33.333334% for their friendly service and hospitality and others plus lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic but they didn't accept $7.50 due to EFTPOS machine and their system so instead I gave $50 extra tip on top of $22.00, total cost $72.00, it is worth it.

Loved their breakfast, I had their French toast and one of their juices and it was amazing. My partner loved his burger as well. Highly recommend.

Great little find while out and about. Coffee was really good, and the fruit toast was packed with fruit! Definitely worth a return visit.

I went there because of the good reviews but my experience was very disappointing. It was not very busy at the time and there were three front of house staff that did not even acknowledge that I was waiting. The waitress was not very accomodating with my order and was bordering on being just plain rude. The food was a reflection of the service. I do not recommend this place.

Food was mediocre. While the cafe ambiance was pleasant, it did not make up for the lacklustre food.

So glad to discover this hidden gem near the bottom of Mount Street.
A modern breakfast bar with top-tier customer service.

- The food is fresh and high quality. I had a brunch of sides, which was delicious;
- Service is excellent. The waiters are accommodating and efficient;
- Their coffee is great; and
- Calming ambience - tinted lighting, Persian-style rugs on walls and exaggerated lamp shades.

The place has always been consistant and the food quality top notch. I remember 6-7 years ago this place was Perth's best kept secret for breakfast and these days it's usually full on the weekends. Happy for them. I'd give you 5 starts if you didn't take away the option to pay with cash.

We went to this bar to pick up some coffees on Saturday morning around 11: 15am. Due to no parking space i had to drop my wife to go in and order coffees. First of all, there was no acknowledgement what so ever from staff as soon as she walked into the door. Da barista and the waitresses kept ignoring her presence until she had to ask someone where to order the coffees from. She then ordered the coffees, paid for them and grabbed chair to sit on while she waited for the coffee. After couple of minutes a waitress came and asked her to go and wait outside the bar for her coffee in da rain as it was a takeaway order. My wife asked her why she had to wait outside in da rain, and rude waitress replied just because its a takeaway order she had to wait outside and other customer had to sit just because there order was a dine in.

I believe whether customer spends $1 or $100, they all deserve to be treated with respect. None of the customers should be asked to go wait outside in the rain while their coffees are being prepared. This definitely was not due to the covid restrictions as if it was, why was then restaurant packed to the roof? Why were customers not seated 2m apart from each other?

I find it seriously offensive asking a customer to wait outside in da rain. Everyone deserves respect whether their order is dine in or takeaway. You should train your staff appropriately to know how to behave around customers. All your staff appeared as if they are not happy to be in that restaurant. If i dint have parking issue i would have asked the waitress to return my money and cancel my order. On top of that, the coffees we got served were burnt and we had to throw them away.

Mount Street is fantastic for breakfast and brunch! Great spot with free parking on the weekend. The menu is different and really well executed. Price and serving sizes are very generous. Definitely a must try
