Miss Maud Garden City Takeaway reviews
30We ordered toast and preserves with white bread and not ciabatta and vegemite. Ciabatta arrived and the preserves was butter only. I asked for Vegemite and that was an extra 90c. When I showed the menu that preserves were included it was jam which when arrived was off. Overall not a pleasant experience which will not be repeated. Shame as it use to be great with lovely staff.
The Apple Strudel is one of the popular desserts that I would recommend to foreign visitors. The taste of this slice was not bad. The taste of the medium-dark roasted coffee was neither bitter nor acidic. The air conditioning of the centralized evap system at this location was acceptable. There are lots of food court tables just a few steps away from this corner store near the Coles. Quite convenience. Enjoy! (2023-12)
Cups and saucers were dirty. Sandwich did not come with the proper Rye bread and side Chips were oven baked and burned on top. Sandwich was bland. Appalling for a $20 sandwich. Food took a long time to arrive - 28mins. Side of cream had separated (I.e. Half milk at bottom). In sum go elsewhere.
Most thursdays we meet and have coffee in your Booragoon store just by Coles, for the past few weeks your coffee has been very weak. When I mentioned it I was told the way it’s made hasn’t changed but it appears the measures are different. I know you have had a lot of staff turnovers but that does not excuse the quality of your product. Is it cost cutting because if it is you will lose more customers than you save.
Ordered Rueben Sandwich the Cheese was missing and Sandwich was dry and cold and chips were Cold. Husbands Sandwich which was chicken Snitchel was served cold because it was left sitting on the counter around 10mins what a let down and waste of $47.50 won't be back this place has gone down the tubes so disappointing
Well done, have breakfast there with friends often. Food good and service only needs a little more smiles.
Coffee was terrible. Burnt and scalding. Asked for a replacement and replacement was just as bad. Breakfast was cold. So disappointed.
I ordered a large caramel latte and grabbed the Big Salad sandwich. The coffee was burnt and no caramel flavour had been added considering I was charged an extra 80cents for it. The sandwich wasn't fresh, obviously Friday's leftovers. I've had enough of giving Miss Maud's ago. It's simply terrible food now so just avoid the place.
$18 50 for package gnocchi and pink sauce why have my recipe few to tomates garlic onions basil please do not serve pink sauce revolting
Also soups must have a lot of milk? Please no milk
Thanks
Went to the one near red dot, should have looked at the review before we sat down, super disappointed. Got $75 worth of food, what we got is not even worth have that. I had missing ingredient on my BBQ chicken sandwich and the cheese was more like warm cheese than melted cheese. The gone fishing looked like it was something out of Birds Eye frozen fish, I can buy at Coles, honestly probably would have been better. The chips were actually decent. The mango smoothie ($7) was served in a jam jar definalty not worth wat we paid for max. $5. The service was pretty good though.
Great place to buy a takeaway coffee or some lunch. This store is located near Coles where you can utilise the shopping centres mini food court for seating.
A huge range of cakes and pastries available everyday. Coffee was incredible and the friendly staff are so helpful.
The sandwiches and sausage rolls/pies are my favourite. So many to choose from. I always get my coffee/lunch here when I'm in Garden City.
I only ever come here for the individual cakes / slices when I feel like a treat. Everything else smacks of subpar, overpriced takeaway and the dine-in menu hasn't been updated since I was a kid.
Enjoyed a morning tea at Miss Mauds this morning. The staff were excellent, polite and eloquent. The restaurant was well spaced for Covid-19 safety and was very clean.
The feel was authentic as I used to go to Miss Mauds many years ago. I ordered a Pot of tea (English Breakfast) and a Princess slice, a caked I loved as a kid.
The presentation of my tea was impeccable (check out my photos). The Princess Slice was very enjoyable with the marzipan delicious. Bit everyone’s cup of tea but definitely mine.
The marzipan was slightly grainy but apart from that delicious.
Morning I think you need to look at the staff I waited about 5 min before any one helped me just wanted to order coffee and cake to take away Danish was ok but the coffee was so awful i couldn't drink it so disappointed you really need to look at it the girls were not interested
Waited a long time for food to be served considering it was ready on the counter but the staff were too busy chatting to deliver it. The food (nachos and a chicken parmigiana) was extremely bland and not worth the wait or money. The cake however was quite nice.
I bought a little "Happy Birthday" Mud Cake yesterday for my husband's Birthday.
It was dry & tasted stale, very disappointed.
We had to throw it in the bin.
Ordered the “big breakfast” on Saturday morning. It was awful. Over-cooked, dry, sausages inedible. Hash browns couldn’t even put the fork in them. Coffee was nice though.
Went for lunch today. My husbands eggs Benedict were cold and served on a cold plate. Complained and they cooked him a fresh meal still came out cold. My toasted cheese sandwich was so hard I could hardly eat it and when I pay $6.50 for a milkshake I expect to have it in a glass not a jam jar. Very disappointed with everything won't be going back.
The service was alright, but the food was gross, cold and the presentation was horrible. Way too overpriced for what it is.
The girl that served me today at garden city dropped the change on the floor in front of me and didn't bother to help? ! Such bad service
