This quaint cafe has it all, whether it's coffee, lunch etc set amongst The vintage decor is rare. There's plentiful choices on the menu for either breakfast/ lunch or afternoon tea. The cakes are delicious. I had the chicken club sandwich which was very tasty. Unfortunately the toast was cold
I suggest toasting the bread last after preparation of filling. I'll be back as love to share this delightful Cafe with friends and family
UPDATE: Since my review I hosted a social group on 14th Dec. All of the group loved the venue and food. The staff were attentive so a relaxing get together. I will now make this a regular venue. Thanks to you all

One of the staff working there has very bad attitude and being rude to customers. He keeps saying don't bring the baby pram in
and rush us to leave while there're still plenty of empty tables. Not family friendly restaurant and won't return.

I am not sure about any things else, but when I asked them to use their toilets they lied on my face that their toilets is not working. And this is not a good gesture when someone in emergency has to go toilet.
And on health and safety basis, I think they not fulfil this requirement.

What a lovely experience this cafe is. Looking at the decor I felt like I had stepped back in time.
I had an amazing meal. It was Berry waffles. The presentation was fantastic. Top with fairy floss mascarpone cream berries maple syrup and waffles. A truly divine dish. The other photo is French toast. It was yummy too.

This cafe has so much potential. Environment is awesome.a real nostalgia trip. I love that it’s just around the corner from my house. I love the staff and the coffee and cakes.the bit that seems to fall through the cracks time and time again is getting served a ‘cold’ hot breakfast.in my view if I’m paying $28 for a hot breakfast it’s not unreasonable to expect the food to arrive at my table hot.cold toast… frozen butter.cool baked beans.hope this feedback will filter back to someone who cares.that said, when the food does come out hot - it’s amazing.

Just got a ham and cheese toastie (where’s the cheese? It’s dry as the bread is stale and tasteless. I’m absolutely furious after paying so much money for something so disgusting. Place looks lovely but my toastie was horrible.

Yummy breakfast and good cup of tea. Very busy place, you need to book ahead or get in early. Interesting decor. Easy parking.

Probably won't go back. Food expensive but well prepared. Decor excellent. Staff service ok. Ownwer/manager needs urgent lessons on P. R.skills.

Was dining at this cafe yesterday. Temperature outside was 35 degrees & very hot inside cafe also. One small split system aircon unit does inadequate cooling job!
Cafe owners.please invest in better cooling system! I won't be back in summer, unless you do so!

Wonderfully nostalgic place with retro furniture, music and vibes. Not too loud so you can still hold a conversation. Seating inside and out and good parking. Daughter 1 had eggs Benedict with bacon of which some was crispy and some not as cooked but still nice. My bacon was the same half and half but still nice with 2 thick maple syrup pancakes and an egg. Daughter 2 had cheeseburger with chips and onion rings which she enjoyed. We all had iced coffees 2 of which were decaf which were nice and served in cute glasses.

Great atmosphere and old style things inside. The portions are very good size for the price compared to other brunch places.

FANTASTIC.
Thanks to the fantastic team at Mid-Century Cafe.
Friendly staff, lovely decor reminiscent of days gone by (the collectables bought a tear to my wife's eye, memories sometimes role down your cheek).
Lovely meal beautifully presented and served at a reasonable price.
Highly recommend a visit.

Great vibes and retro decor, amazing food, great coffee! Definitely worth your time. It does get a bit noisy inside when it's busy, but there is the option to sit outside ️

Lovely little cafe tucked away - always busy which is a good sign & the breakfasts are always very tasty! The staff are also very friendly and polite, especially Vince, he goes out of his way to be kind everytime I've been there hes put a smile on my face.
Not a bad thing to say about the place.

I used to love this place as it had very delicious breakfasts.

I don’t know what happened but I feel like it became an average place with high prices and poor service.

A week ago I ordered a coffee from the take away window, first I had to wait for 7 minutes before my order was accepted (barista was preparing ONE coffee for another gentleman, and she made wrong size, but just because this gentleman didn’t want to wait for another 10 minutes, he took it) and then I had to wait for 9 minutes more to get my coffee (the cafe was nearly empty and I was the only customer outside).

Today we came here with my friends, we ordered breakfast dishes, everything was just average. Then I ordered a tea pot for myself. When lady brought it to our table my friend decided to join me and she asked for one more cup and we were told that WE HAD TO PAY FOR AN EMPTY CUP
You should have seen the face of that lady when we said to her that in this case we would drink tea from the glasses for tap water we broke the system! She didn’t expect that at all!
But it’s the first time in my life when I paid for the tea pot and then I have to pay for an empty cup to be able to drink it! What a great business idea!

I feel like it was the last time when I brought my friends to this place.

Beautiful food, friendly staff and the cafe itself is well setup. Attractive display for the food. Good selection.

Parking in front and on side streets.

Me and my wife order salads, mine was ok for taste, a bit sour and nothing special. My wife ordered a pumpkin salad and it was horrible, very very sour & more then half was left behind. On bringing to staffs attention, no remedy.
The place is nicely decorated in old style but not worth the money or service.

Looks pretty, but everything was tough, the waffles supposed to be a bit crunchy on the edge and fluffy in the middle. But not with this one. The chicken were tough as well as the bacon. I had a really sore jaw after eating this, if it wasn't that expensive and i was not hungry i wouldn't eat it. However it was tasty tho, is just really tough to chew. The hashbrown was really good, i love it. I did order spearmint milkshake but it wasn't minty enough, still taste good

Coffee orders are extremely slow. Baristas need to be taught how to make more than one coffee at a time. 15-20 min wait for take away coffee?
