I've been to New York I've been to New Orleans and I've been to God awful California. But the service I got from Merredin Tourist Park from that South African woman does not compare to how bad America is

Found the lady a little bit rude when she realised we had a small dog. "Don't let it bark or I'll have to put on my big girl pants" she said. Well we had travelled from northan NSW and he was never a problem anywhere else. Also it's very noisy from the trucks.

The woman with the accent is rude kept changing the prices then wanted me to book 2 rooms for 2 people

This place is just across the highway. Big trucks and trains pass by all night, the noise and vibration are earth-shattering. If you don't have a particularly good sleep ability, you won't be able to sleep at all. I really wonder how it got such good ratings online.

Noisy, noisy, noisy, all night from the highway on the other side of the fence. Overpriced for what you get.

Nice caravan park, not too far to drive into town.
The lady in the reception has no people skills. Very rude. I phoned before checking in and paid over the phone via credit card, she then said why didn’t you say you were only a few kms out it would have saved me all the paper work. On check in she flicked the park map at me and said have a nice stay. Other people on the park had said the same about the lady in the reception. Not sure if she is the owner or an employee. She has a South African accent. She certainly needs to pull her head in and get some manners.

Didn’t tell me that they were Dongas that they were budget
Asked for a refund would give back money we were booked in there for 2 nights I can understand not giving back the first night but the 2nd should have been refunded
I will be going to consumer protection and giving them in to them
Would never recommend these guys they are scamming people

Nice caravan park. Has good spots for tents.
Has a good atmosphere with a lot of trees around.
Has a good, but small camp kitchen.
Bathrooms could do with some renovation, but they are fine.
Only real issue is the trains going past at night.

Very professional well presented park with great customer relations. We have stayed here before several years ago and enjoyed it then and we are enjoying it now.

Stayed in a budget ensuite double room which was clean and cosy. Fuss-free check-in/out.

Great laundry facility with waiting space and a counter top for folding clothes. $4/load for washer and dryer each, uses $1 coins.

Overall well maintained caravan park. Love the retro vibes. Can get a little noisy with the road trains plying the roads just outside the park.

Great little caravan Park to stay either on your way to Perth or on your way to Kalgoorlie. Deb who runs this place with perfection is amazing, what a lovely lady, so kind and gorgeous and actually changed my camping area so we had shade for my dog in all the years I have been travelling there is not many that would do that for people, thank you Deb your a beautiful person.will back here later this year.

On a recent journey over East and back to Perth I stayed here on 30th October. Of all 27 Caravan Parks I stayed in, the Receptionist here was without a doubt the rudest I’d met. She was either having a bad day, or she was having a domestic. Whichever, it was not necessary to take it out on me. I’ll never stay here again, no way.
The site wasn’t too bad but, very noisy at night as it’s right on the highway. Scary in the Mens shower as the ceiling fan directly above your head was loose and sounded like a helicopter taking off.

My daughter, granddaughter and myself stay overnight. The keys were waiting for us as we arrived after hours. I booked the day before and the lady was absolutely wonderful to deal with over the phone. To our surprise the chalets were wonderful, clean and well equipped and made us feel right at home. A hidden treasure! Will stay the night again for sure
And I highly recommend especially if travelling with children and the long trip to Perth or to Kalgoorlie is too long this gives a great break for all.
Well done and thankyou to this hidden treasure xx

Merredin Tourist Park has been real find. It would have to be the best value for money we have had in a long time. It is a neat and tidy, well kept park with very clean amenities and we had a lovely shady drive through site. We have been on the road for 8 months and I would have to say it has the cleanest laundry facilities and even has a lounge seat to sit in while you wait for your machine to finish. A great spot to stop on the way to Kalgoorlie. Deb at reception was very welcoming and extremely helpful.

Nice clean room and ideal for our overnight stay, aircon worked but it was noisy (chalet 22). I slept with earbuds in. Lost a star because of this. Booking process was easy with contactless key collection and return.

We were a little disappointed. Our site was on large puddles of water and misquitoes were bad. There were plenty of other sites available but we were placed in a site that was a little unsavoury. Therefore a little disappointed as this park was not a cheap one.

Great caravan park for overnight with small but clean amenities, camp kitchen adequate and covered seating beside. Downside is next to Great Eastern Highway and railway line, so noise most of night if you are in the spots near front of park. Due to Covid you do not get to meet manager. Gravel site plenty room. $35 p/n p/ site.
