I would never recommend Melville Mitsubishi to anyone who would like quality service and customer care.

Every time one of my vehicles goes in for a service, something goes wrong. Whether they fail to put the oil cap on properly and I end up with burnt oil exploded all over my engine bay or a rubber door trim completely disappears (just 2 examples, there are plenty more)

They bend over backwards to prove that the battery still charges to avoid warranty replacement but trying to get them to diagnose an issue that arose after service is impossible.

Communication skills are appalling.

Their free roadside assistance is litterally just a towing service, no one actually looks at your vehicle until it is in the service department and you are without a vehicle no matter how small the issue and how long it takes to sort.

Constantly recommended work be done while with them, new tyres when they lasted another year and 15000km, constantly sending reminders for services that aren't following the timelines and throwing off schedules, additional services that have a different name but same description of things you are already having done and are paying excessive money for.the list goes on.

The nerve to offer a sales rep to come out and help me find a new car after expressing that I have had enough of the dramas my car (only 5 years old) brings (all dramas brought on by poor quality service and mistakes made at Mitsubishi).

No apologies or accountability for problems that arise, I have to fight for any resolution if there is any.

Regardless of warranties and capped price servicing still in place for my 2 vehicles I will never be coming back and I only stuck around as long as I did because of this.

Other yards associated with Mitsubishi are perplexed as to their lack of service, support and capabilities, the sad part is that I think they believe they are doing their best.either I have the misfortune of receiving all the issues and they don't know how to handle or there is a massive overhaul required.

I have had to ask them a few times if this is a joke.how could this happen, no one ever has a response that is notable.

Never again.

Popped in after doing extensive research on a new triton to discuss purchasing and a test drive.

Eric, who took his time to come see me, told me what I was looking at was not at the price I had found, even though advertised at other local dealers at that price. Told me I was wrong, and that drive away pricing isn’t drive away pricing

When I suggested that maybe I try another local dealer, swearing began from Eric at myself. After asking for the swearing to stop, decided it was best to leave.

Cannot in any situation recommend these people. Doing the reputation of car dealers no good here.

Rang and advised that we were coming in to look at a advertised vehicle that just arrived, told spare parts manager had taken home not av, and price was wrong, just getting people in under false pretensions, Scammer alert!

Unfortunately I have to leave a star. Never take your vehicle here. Service desk personnel have no experience. And the service manager Jason. What a k.make sure when you sign the paper work you take a photo of what you've signed. When I returned they charged me $180 ph x 3 to fit a broken canopy rear window. Of which I had to chase up. 8 emails to canopy supplier.mitsubishi 1 email to canopy providers. There was no conversations of price and the internal sheet I signed only had my signature on. When i left. When I arrived back to pick ute up
These charges suddenly appeared. Asked for a copy and was refused. Advised them I was with in my rights as it had my signature on. I raised my voice and refused to pay. Service manager j spoke to me like a child telling me to sit down and tried to humilate me infront of his staff a few words exchanged. The principal what a joke. Then they told me they would take out the glass and charge me for the removal as well as the other additonal $540. What a joke. All j could do was smirk at me. And then told me he'd put me in my place.engine and eletric faults also reported. Driving on 40lt per kl. Electrics kept jumping into
2,4 wheel drive. They said they never found a fault. 2nd time stung here. First time I put off as bad sales man. 8 years later even worse. All the relevant information passed on to Accc and more. Seems I'm not the only one with issues here.

Don’t service your car here.

Last time they didn’t change the oil or reset the service reminder in the computer and bent my key so badly it couldn’t go in the ignition.

Today I picked up my car with paint scraped off my bumper, showed the service manager his exact words were, couldn’t have been them our guys wear soft clothing and we only changed the oil and filter. So apparently no tools or solid objects are used in mechanical work shops anymore and so it wasn’t even worth asking the staff…

Sharing a terrible experience with Melville Mitsubishi today (Purchased the car there brand new). Had the car in a few weeks ago (now out of warranty) for them to diagnose an oil leak and fix a problem with the handbrake (a common issue on this model). They ended up diagnosing a crank seal leak and an intercooler O ring that had gone. Had them do everything because i just needed the car operational, cost about 1k.

A couple of weeks later the oil leak started again - identical drip position.

Allagedly it's a split intercooler hose - the same hose that was already replaced under warranty less than 24 months ago. They refused to replace it again even know they acknowledged it was a known common MMA fault (before i even brought it up).

I gave them the opportunity to talk to MMA about covering the cost of the replacement and they called me back and offered $80 off the origional quote of just shy of $400 - to replace a single hose. Chose not to proceed.

If I had the time to spend, I'd pursue it further with MMA and ACCC (consumer protection), but I've decided just to direct my business elsewhere.

Disappointed.

Edit (because it doesn't allow me to reply to MM's reply on this review) - Just to clarify here, the issue here isn't that I had an expectation that they would do free work outside of warranty. It's that they incorrectly diagnosed the issue to begin with, which I already paid $1000 to fix, and then they were going to charge me additional $400 for. If they were just going to charge me the cost of the hose ($100 or so at most, their cost), then I'd be fine - but they were expecting me to cover their labour to change a hose that they likely already had off the car during the previous visit.

Went in for a timing belt replacement. Told it was ready be picked up. Once I had driven it there was a loud ticking noise. I took it back the next day and within an hour the problem was apparently solved. I received the car and took it for a drive to once again hear the same noise. Again I take the car back in and have a mechanic join me for a drive to help diagnose the issue by hearing the sound. I am told now it is the lifters that need adjusting. The next day I am told the car is ready. The noise still exists but now its the fuel injectors making the noise not the lifters and that the sounds are normal for the age of the car. 4 days earlier, none of these sounds existed and now I'm $1390.00 out of pocket with a ticking noise in my engine.

They wasted my time, misdiagnosed 3 times, lied, abandoned their responsibility and duty of care and abused the trust that a customer places in a complete stranger to fix their car at $160.00/hr. What pathetic workmanship and abysmal service. No star deserves to be assigned to this cavity.

Just found that they have left a bolt out from my engine sitting on my engine bash plate and cracked my air intake mount. Ive had fault codes relating to crankshaft and cam shaft position, losing compression also. Spoke to the manager, he refused to help and hung up on me mid conversation. Worst possible service imaginable, my car runs like a heap now. Unhelpful, unapologetic, parasitic rip off merchants. DO NOT GO HERE.

The worst customer service ever. They didn’t know my car was even dropped off this morning and a staff member called to say if I was still doing my service. So I told her it’s already there! I said to her please make sure my car is washed and vacuum as it’s part of a normal service any where else, Then they rang me and said my car was ready The same time stating demanding payment instantly like I wasn’t gonna pay and they had my car which is worth $30,000, when I arrived my car wasn't cleaned at all, it’s started to make me think maybe they didn’t even service it. Don’t bring your cars to Melville to be serviced! Not even worth one star!

Indifferent sales, service and maintenance staff. Unable to complete basic work to bare minimum specs, let alone to a standard of quality that would convince return customers. Moving to another servicing provider.

Bought my MR triton here for a service and to check on the rear parking sensors under warranty that were throwing UMS service errors and constantly beeping. I was told by the rep that they checked all sensors and nothing was wrong and that I needed to go back to the piak installer as it’s a fitment issue and they refused to place new sensors in to try diagnose the problem. I have since put in genuine sensors from another triton I got from a used rear bar and it has fixed the error. Would have been great if your service department could do a bit more diagnosing and forcing an obvious issue back on the customer

I bought my car there last October as they were the only branch who had a stock. The salesman knew that I was coming but didn't entertained me until my husband arrived. I just let it go because the car will be under my husband's name anyway as I don't have the Aus driver's license yet. But here comes the delivery, if I didn't notice that the mud flaps are missing, we will not be informed. We were assured that it will be installed on the first service which was 2 months after but still no mud flaps. We were promised and they've convinced us to have the service there to have a better "relationship" but I don't want to go back nor recommend buying there. I got stressed when calling their service the line was hold right away for several times without asking whom I wanted to talk with.

Would give no stars if possible. Waited 9 hours for a service. Dropped off at the local shops and forgotten. Multiple requests to get picked up but the Uber service provided kept cancelling. Such lack of respect and consideration for customers. Disappointing.

Just went there to browse any used 4x4s, but was pestered by the salesmen, and I was told that if I just wanted to browse I should have come when it is closed. I would definitely not buy a car from this dealership.

Worst customer service ever. I went in for a minor service that should only take at max an hour and was waiting for atleast 2 hours. Got serviced by a very rude guy at front desk and then proceeded to wait for 2 hours without any updates or even information as to why it’s taking so long. Very unprofessional

Do not get finance with Melville Mitsubishi! From day 1 everything was different or a lie, i was promised a price to pay weekly and then when i picked up the car it was 20 dollars a week more, When I was ahead of my loan they did not contact me when there was an issue with my bank due to "your account is ahead, we didn't think it was a big deal" (still charged me $20 dollars due to the issue and blamed my bank, this happened twice). Said that If i paid ahead of the loan and then allowed direct debit to close out the last months worth of payments i would not be charged an early termination fee (this was from the business manager). Terrible business and I will never deal with them again. Only positive was the actual salesman who sold me the car and the car itself.

Please don't do servicing and change parts from them. They are doing fraud with people. They charged me $190 for seat belt clip and put the old one which gave them. Which came off again. I will never recommend them.

I drop my car for service today 29/05/2020 at 8am and at 9.49 the servicing was done. After work at 12 I drop in to take my car and to my surprise the car was not wash and vacuum and the only reason was only one man Dr doing cleanings. Why take a booking when you can't do it properly and pay for it. Its a shame for a big company like this.

You wonder why car yards get a bad reputation. We just bought a second hand car from Doug at Melville Mitsubishi. 10 days later the registration ran out. We were not advised it was due and there was no attempt to resolve or discuss the matter. It was our mistake as we did not read the contract. Terrible service and no respect given to us.

Went to look at a car, took for a test drive and made a verbal offer. We explained that we had a meeting to go to that afternoon but would come back the following morning. Gave them our phone number. We went back the following morning to purchase the car and were told it was sold to someone else. No attempt at calling us to letting us know that someone else was interested.
Really poor form and in our opinion really disrespectful service.
Would be zero stars if that was an option!

Took a 2017 Pajero Sport in for a 30000km service, got quoted $1000 then when I said I was going to another mechanics, the service representative lied and said they can't do log book services. I'd expect a major car brand dealership to be a bit more ethical.
