Mecca Cosmetica Karrinyup

Been in a few times and the staff are quite knowledgeable and friendly. Special mentions to the fragrance girl (sorry didn't catch her name) she had a UK accent. She took her time to go through some fragrances with us and gave us a bit of a history lesson was so interesting and has sparked up a bit of an more in-depth interest in fragrances for me. Gigi is definitely another mention, she also knows her stuff. Came in looking for a concealer that was out of stock, she helped me with a replacement product. She was super friendly my friend needed help with a few things and nothing was an issue. Another time I was there during an extremly busy period and saw Gigi doing the rounds making sure everyone was taken care of with a big smile one her face. I sincerely hope these girls get the recognition they deserve as they are a positive face to the Mecca brand

Usually I always feel so overwhelmed entering here as I don't know much but Emily came to my rescue and went Bove and beyond. I am so thankful for your care. You made it very simple for me to shop for my makeup for my wedding. A thousand thanks!

After an awful experience at a different makeup store, my friend and I were so thankful to the lovely staff in MECCA. The lovely tall blonde lady (originally from England) was very helpful and patient with us. She colour matched my friend with different shades and brands for a skin tint and suggested different cream blushes for me. Overall a lovely experience - felt very personal even thought the store was busy!

Went into mecca today to get all new makeup for myself on a break at work, due to mask restrictions easing I had ran out of make up and going so long without needing it daily i had forgotten all the must haves and my colour, the assistant that helped me was amazing, super helpful and knowledgeable with her products and what was best suited to my skin.i spent a decent amount but walked out super happy and satisfied that everything i needed i secured in my trip today

My fav Mecca store. Big store, massive product selection and very helpful retail assistants. Very different from other Mecca's I've been to where you have to hunt down assistants if you need help and then it feels like they are doing you a favour.

Even though it was busy, checkout was super quick.

I went in the other day to get makeup and as a bigger girl I’ve never been treated like I belong anywhere Laura was amazing she took me in and made me feel like I was meant to be there she showed me things I’ve never been shown as I never get any help with anything she was amazing and will make the trip every time just to see her! I had the best experience here on the Black Friday weekend! The girl helping me was called Hannah and she was hands down the best customer service I've ever received - the nicest and friendliest girl! Honestly made my day and I left so happy x

I love the Mecca in Karrinyup as they have good number of staff roaming around and offering service to customers. Great selection of products but I wish their MAC selection is more extensive knowing that there isn't any other MAC in the shopping centre.

As a previous employee of the company before graduating uni and moving from over east, I feel like the customer service from some of the staff at this store is not up to par with the company's vision and expectations. It's a great store in general with a big range of products but I don't like how some of the staff treats me (could be because they assume im younger than I actually look, when in reality I'm a frequent shopper and a level 3 member and when some staff are putting me through payment their attitude suddenly changes to a much friendlier one.) however i dont think it should matter how someone looks as there should be a consistent level of treatment. I also feel that theres a lack of product knowledge with a few of them when they are trying to sell me some product. I have never disclosed that I was a previous employee and had background information and brand knowledge, but it is kind of disappointing to know that there are staff giving incorrect information when they aren't fully sure with certain brands/products to customers that also don't have any information.

I went to the store and requested help with choosing a concealer and foundation; the lady did not even bother showing me my options and sort of told me to help myself. I was very disappointed with the service. I went to Mecca on recommendation of a friend but clearly they are overrated

I had a make up lesson with Lucy today, who was absolutely lovely! She was really friendly and made sure that the products were ok for my sensitive skin. Thanks Lucy for taking the time to walk me through skin care as well

TLDR: If you're a skincare and makeup newbie like me, Mecca Karrinyup is a great place to go for advice ️️

I was served by Nina (i think her full name starts with a J) today, she was incredible. She helped me with choosing the right make up and gave me a lesson on how to properly apply. We played around with different shades of foundation to find the best one for me. The time she took was so appreciated. She also had a great sense of humour making it a pleasure to shop there. I have never bought make up from Mecca before but I will be regularly now.

All the staff are very helpful, friendly and professional. I had a facial with Gemma and it was beyond amazing. Would highly recommend!

This morning we returned to the shops for the first time since Covid19. The cleanliness standards were fantastic and reassuring. We were served by the lovely Aaron. His customer service skills were exceptional. Aaron really know his products and is so passionate, he was so helpful in helping match a foundation. Thankyou so much!

Great shop however since the shop expanded, the customer service has really gone down hill or maybe it’s just the one staff member that served me. I asked her to find a product and she was quite condescending and pretty much told me to get it my self, they weren’t even busy at the time, barely anyone in there. Really disappointing as I used to buy all my beauty products here for years but probably won’t be returning after this.

I was very disappointed with one of the staff yesterday. When I asked her about some of the products. She showed me Perricone Md products. When I told her that it is too expensive for me, she asks me to continue using the products I am using now and walk away. I hope they have more friendly & intelligence staff. Mecca in Joondalup are wonderful.
