Excellent service, private and classy setting. Food is delicious, small but deliberate menu with a lovely wine list that the sommelier is well versed in.
Views are stunning and will visit again.

Fantastic restaurant. Went to Matilda Bay restaurant for the first time on Saturday 28th August. Impressed with the service, the food, the decor the view. The prawns we had to start were amazing. My crab pasta was delicious. We don’t usually have dessert but we did this time. Food and drink service was impeccable and quick. Just wish I lived closer. It would be my new favourite restaurant.

We had a perfect seat by the window, both looking out into the water watching boats and kayaks come and go and dogs having a swim.
The staff were amazing, their recommendations were so much appreciated. The espresso Martini was perfect. Our food was the best we've had in Perth and we eat out a lot!

A week ago, we had an amazing time at Matilda Bay Restaurant. The food and service were exceptional and all the stuff members very professional and friendly Thank you all for a very memorable experience.

Enjoyed the networking breakfast the other day. Beautiful view, lovely service. One thing was that sunshine was too bright to sit facing the windows at the time.

We didn't end up eating.before being seated I went to the bathroom where I saw a giant cockroach mosising along the floor. The feeling of uncleanliness was compounded when I couldn't wash my hands properly because there was no hand soap in the dispenser.

Quite simply, the food was perfect, quantities substantial, location beautiful and some of the best waiters I've had in years. Go here.

My husband made a booking for us at Matilda Bay as a surprise to celebrate my birthday which he included in the booking. We last went to Matilda Bay in 2018 and had a very average experience (which he'd forgotten about) so we were giving them another go.

Things have definitely improved - food was good and cooked as ordered, and service was very good. We had different wait staff attending to our table through out the night and I was impressed with the seamless coordination between them.

This place is expensive and you are paying for the view which unfortunately we haven't experienced on either of our vists despite having made advanced bookings. In our most recent visit there were tables with views vacant the entire time we were there which made it especially disappointing as we were in the back corner, right next to the kitchen door and next to a large noisy group. Our side dish didn't come out until we had half finished our main which threw the balance of our meal out. We had waited a few minutes before we started eating our main but started it because it was going to go cold.

Unfortunately we felt harassed come dessert time, and was asked if we wanted dessert while still eating my last mouthful of main. We asked for a break before considering it while we finished our wine. We were given about 5 minutes, then were asked 5 times in 10 minutes if we were ready to order, despite it being obvious we hadn't even looked at the menu yet. It wasn't late, although late enough no one else would have taken our table. There was no acknowledgement of it being my birthday throughout the evening either.

Am I being harsh? Yes, but only because it is an expensive, fine dining restaurant and my expectations are therefore high. I've had more memorable food and personalised service elsewhere for similar or cheaper prices. Would I come back? Maybe, but it would be my choice of restaurant.

Had dinner on Friday 30th of July to mark our wedding Anniversary. Matilda Bay Restaurant had the perfect ambiance, and the food was just perfect.

Wow. Lovely food but seemed limited in offerings (ie. Proteins). Service was lacking. Was great to overwhelming then non existent.

Beautiful setting and wonderful service staff! Food was excellent had oyster with kiwi fruit and bbq sauce 3 way very unique ways to eat oyster! The starting bread had light coating of salt which was amazing. I ordered the crayfish with all 4 sauces was the best crayfish I have ever had! My wife's came out slightly chared but was still much better than the C reaturant 2 weeks ago! Desert we had iced coffee parfait which was nice could of used more coffee flavor but was a good finish! The wife had roasted fig which she loves with raspberry and vanilla. We were a little let down on this desert she did not enjoy the taste and it smelt and looked like someone dumped a bowel of pot puri on the top. Storage and expresso martinis made up for it! All said amazing resturants and serice will go back for sure!

Enjoyed dinner at Matilda Bay with a small group of colleagues. Whilst it was a weeknight the restaurant was quite busy. Still the service was excellent from the time we entered until we left. A great menu on offer and the meals were all very tasty. The location is really lovely and great at anytime, however on dusk is perhaps the pick. Highly recommended.

We had our wedding at Matilda Bay Restaurant on 12.04.19. We had a small ceremony on the grass and private dinner for 18 in the Wine Room. It was the greatest day of our lives. The ceremony was organised through Annelies, the wedding coordinator. She replied quickly and efficiently to all of my emails from beginning to end and we had a fantastic time. The guests all loved the food, our table looked wonderful and we were truely looked after by the staff even though there was another bigger event happening at the same time. We had a great night, thank you!

We got married here and it was a fantastic affair. I cant remember a single issue with the food, venue or service. The only reason I didn't give them the fifth star was because of the strict rules they had on what we were allowed to put up as decorations. We were not allowed to bring our own solar powered fairy lights to put up around the perimeter. The only alternative they provided was to rent their lights at an exorbitant price. I understand that weddings are an opportunity for business to commit highway robbery but there needs to be limits. But in saying that It was the best night of my life thus far.
