Very quiet on a Thursday night, but nice to hold a conversation while having a meal.
Reasonable prices for very large servings.
We will be back.

We were stuck as made booking elsewhere for wrong day. We called up Market City Tavern, come on down no problem. They fit 11 of us in for dinner. The service was great and the food was excellent.
We had an ice cream cake for a birthday and it was no problem to get candles, knife, plates and spoons. Very much appreciate all the service from the wonderful staff.
Well done looking forward to coming back again.

Wanted to order small serve of Fettuccine but was told I couldn't. When I pointed out there were no vegetarian/vegan choices on the seniors menu I was told I could order fish and chips. Mundaring Weir Hotel has two vegan choices on their seniors menu. I would like to ask the Manager why he can't too?

Service was lovely, food a bit expensive, ordered a. Sticky date to take home, upset me as it turned out to be a brownie.

Had dinner here tonight with our "soccer" group - our monthly catchup.
What a pleasant surprise this was
I was so impressed with the two chefs who cooked up the most amazingly tasting food ive had in years, i couldn't stop watching them.
And.right before your eyes out came the very best beef and guiness pot pie
ive ever had.

Service was good but meals were very average. Burger was dry and tasteless, brisket roll was tough and dry. Chips obviously cooked in same oil as fish as they had fishy taste.

The food here is absolutely beautiful it's sex in the mouth, the food is cooked perfectly, at a great price, I highly recommend it for a great place to eat.

Went to Melbourne cup lunch yesterday at Tavern all I can say is they outdid themselves, Value for money was outstanding, the food sensational, Staff couldn't do enough to welcome us very friendly. The Manager went out of his way to meet the needs of everyone. This is the best Melbourne Cup lunch I have ever been too, Everyone on our table agreed there were 8 of us and we all thourghly enjoyed, we definitely recommend. Well done Manager and Staff for a fantastic Day.

I only rate a place if they go above and beyond, hence im giving this place 5 stars. I know that its probably not always 5 star. But ive been looked after by the workers, manager, bar flys.and chef. They care here.

Quite possibly the worst meal I've ever had.
Served a glass of ice with a fly in it. The fish was foul; the batter was left to the side and 3/4 of the fish left on the plate.
The steak in the steak sandwich was awful; undercooked, impossible to chew, just a terrible piece of steak. To add to it, the sandwich was cold.
Such a disappointing anniversary dinner.

Love love loved it! Karoke was the best an people were so friendly but the staff was very efficient too! My best part of the night was my three course meal was executed very well by the two chef's! From one chef to another my steak was cooked to perfection! I even let them know and to keep the good work up! Thank you all.

The Sunday roast dinner was generous $19.95 and the second day of CoVID19 Level 3 allow more than 20 people to drink and/or dine in

We ordered 2 x Apollo chicken, 1 x creamy garlic prawns and a cheese and garlic calzone.the Apollo chicken was beautiful I loved that it was not to sweet.all in all we enjoyed everything and will order again.loved it.

Loved the 2 meat roast & veges lunch i had with my partner. Great service, great food & as it was just after the lunch rush, nice a quiet so we could hear each other talk.

Just had our first experience of take away food from Market City Tavern and we will be back very soon. Had 2 of the specials - the calamari and chips and the garlic prawns with rice. Both were plentiful and delicious. The calamari was tender, well coated and with a delicious aioli while the garlic prawns were simply stunning. Well done in these hard times and we can't wait to try the rest of your menu.

Great pub style menu with lots of choices including pizza! Meals come with basic salad bar & a soft serve ice cream machine. I had the pork belly, it was deliciously soft and tender, with chips & perfectly cooked veggies, very reasonably priced. Great place for groups and families, staff very accommodating (and I think it's the first place I didn't have to pay for a takeaway container), needless to say I was stuffed and very satisfied! Definitely going on the fav's list

Been going here for years every now and then. It's your typical workers tav, it opens pretty early service is always outstanding very polite and helpful staff.
